- After spending months in warm weather, we wake up to a winter wonderland in Flagstaff, Arizona. Our intentions were to find camp and test the limits of our rig in Winter conditions. We struggle to get a fire going in our @winnerwellofficial9878 wood stove and cook as we battle the snow, ice, and rain. The boys make the most of the situation, however, and embellish in the white blanket of snow on the ground. We find there is a problem with our battery charging system and must be wise in our power consumption to get through the night. Join us in this cold, snowy, peaceful and scenic overland trip!

I remember the video when it was your last day at work, Jen ,as you were getting ready for your fantastic journey. I have enjoyed following you! You can never tell about AZ. When our boys were 4 & 8 we took a tent camping trip from Ca. Devil's Postpile, to Death Valley, Lake Havasu to Grand Canyon in Oct. It has snowed the day we left, had the boys wait in the car while my husband and I broke up camp! Freezing! So at least you have a nice, warm "BOX" to retreat to. Loving your adventures!
Sounds like a great trip you had when the kids were young! Cold, maybe, but you def made some memories, right? Man- talk about throwback, that last day of work....hahaha, wow little did we know all that was in front of us! It was a big leap of faith then and the story is still unfolding. I had never heard of graupel. That kind of precipitation is usually called wintry mix by the weather people on the east coast.
It's a real thing! We're from the east coast believe it or not. I've heard the weather guessers use it before :) but yes, I suppose it is all considered wintry mix when combined together. Thanks for watching :)

That's a hard one ! Great Vid though ... I left Maine so i could get to phoenix before the snow fly's. What are you using to heat the habitat ? ~peace~
We have a planar diesel heater, unfortunately have gone through 3 fuel pumps on it now!! We will in/around the Phoenix area, keep yer eyes peeled! safe travels!!
what about a tent you can put stove in and wood, you would be out of the elements for cooking and keeping everything dry and a little warmer and easy to pack .. great adventures :)
