1mg prednisone no side effects it's the only way to go, it still slowly takes inflammation down, the higher the dose of course it's going to do crazy bad side effects,

This really is the best information about this drug that’s been delivered to me in any form - from my doctor, pharmacist, and the packet stapled to the RX. Thank you so much for making these excellent videos. Anyone even taking a small / short dose of Prednisone should watch this video series. 🙌

I started on a low dose (5mg/day) 3 weeks ago for a autoimmune flare up and the dose gradually increased till now I'm on 20mg/day. Not feeling great but better than the autoimmune symptoms, which are still there, just a bit muted by the prednisone. So hungry..... I feel like weight is piling on really really fast even though I'm eating super healthy, heaps fruit and veg, all home cooking from scratch, but larger portions trying to keep this hunger at bay & stop me eating crap, processed rubbish. Tick hot flashes, tick insomnia, tick fatigue, thankfully no mood impacts. Can't wait to get off this stuff. Thanks for the info. xx

Two days on prednisone gave me permanent hypertension. This is because chronic Lyme patients must never be given prednisone, and doctors should not take shots in the dark approaches to diagnosing when they could first diagnose by a patient’s symptoms and clinical engagement.

Hi Dr.Megan I was on prednisone for 1 month including the taper and didn’t really experience withdrawal symptoms but 3-4 days into the prednisone literally OVERNIGHT my belly became extended it’s big and pokes out much more than it every did and it happened within one night. What could this be is it Cushing’s syndrome or fat redistribution. Prednisone also affected my insulin resistance but it’s so weird and upsetting that my stomach got big like this overnight. I’ve been off the prednisone for almost 7 months now and my stomach is still big. Also I believe when my stomach got bigger so did my legs overnight. What could this be? My salt levels are normal so it’s not water retention. I appreciate your advice.

I was recently diagnosed with Giant Cell arteritis, been on Prednisone for 2 weeks now..started at 80ml and now am taking 20ml per day. I might have to take it for over a year.
So far I have a lot of energy, have stopped limping from my degenerative osteoarthritis in my foot and have not gained weight yet. I'm scared to death of this drug, it feels horrible most of the day, and I do not want to get fat! If I watch every calorie and exercise and eat the best foods, is it still INEVITABLE that I will gain weight? What about diuretics?

1mg each day of prednisone no side effects whatever, infact if you have other medicines to take, you can take a 1mg prednisone pill every other day so that you can fit your other medicines in that you have to take, 1mg of prednisone is the only best way to go without having to worry about bad side effects the higher the dose of course crazy thing's are going to happen to you, I'd rather stay on safe ground with 1mg prednisone it still slowly takes down inflammation .

It is odd how it can be so life changing for some and horrible for others. I have an uncle who was on it and had to retire. He could not mentally fulfil his duties.

Prednisone is the mistake! Got prescribed 60mg for 7 days for an earache. Earache is gone…prednisone side effects stayed. Terrible!

Weight gain comes from it making you feel lazy. People just want to sit around and eat.

For me, food tastes better. And I do mean really good. Makes portion control important. But, I eliminated all processed foods and sugars as best I can while also limit eating out.
