I just wanted to say I’ve tried a few Chex snack mix recipes and this one is the best ever! I’ve had so many compliments on this one and yes it goes quickly! My family love it! I made it at Thanksgiving and it’s been requested for Christmas Eve
Hello, thanks for this simple but delicious recipe! Brings me back to my childhood, my grandma would make it for Christmas as a snack while we were waiting for the tamales to cook! This is the best tutorial that I've found for this, thanks!😊💜
Great informational! Fun to watch and I know it will be a great "neighbors' gifts" for the holidays! Also, every region of the United States pronounces Worcestershire sauce according to their regional dialect! So, all pronunciations are likely fine!
This looks so yummy. I say the W sauce, there is a youtuber Smokin and Grilling with AB, who says that , it kinda stuck with me. Mr. Make it Happen saying is World in the World Sauce or something so really does not matter how you say it. You ladies are so amazing. xoxoxxo
Are there instructions for the smoker? Pop it in the smoker after baking it in the oven or do the whole thing in the smoker using the same temperature as the oven instructions?
I love savoury snacks more than sweet ones. So I am definitely going to make that. What do you store that in ? How long will it store ? Cheers from Canada 🇨🇦 🍁
In the south, we pronounce it woo-sha-shire, from what ive hears most call it. Pecans is the word I hear the most variants of. Some people say the right way to pronounce it is Pee-CANS. But to me, that doesnt sound southern at all. That sounds like the Boston way to pronounce it. Some call them pee-cons, but to me, the sputhern pronunciation is puh-cons
I changed out the cheese crackers and wheat Chex for more pecan halves and pretzel sticks, upped the heat to 325 and just baked for 20 minutes in two pans. Tried it at 275 for an hour the first time, turning them every 15 minutes and they wound up just shy of almost burnt. I'll know here in a few minutes how they come out this time.
In my house, and my IL's house it was said Wuss-ter-sure. I think my grandmother said it Wooster sauce, but she was an outlier. Nobody I've ever known (FWIW) has said Wor-ces/ches-ter-shire other than as a joke.
I have a huge bottle of french's sauce and it had the pronunciation under the word. It read, "wus-te(r)-sher". I said it like u did too, and now it's hard to say it at all cause I keep getting the two pronunciations mixed up!
I saw a video on the whole Worcestershire pronounciation recently. Tl;dr it's pronounced like 'worse-ter-sure". A combination of the English town Worcester and the suffix -shire (pronounced 'sure') like from New Hampshire
Looks awesome, SO trying this. I have a question - you mention putting in a smoker - when? Before baking, after baking or smoke and bake at the same time? Thank you!
I just wanted a taste of the sauce on my chex mix and ended up drowning it.First try in awhile, turned out horrible. Not sure if I will use soy sauce next time.
Wuss’tuh’sher sauce :p Or.. wus-ter-sher sauce. The name is a town in the UK. It’s spelled weird, but even towns in America called “ Worcester” is pronounced “wus-ter”
Many items at the grocery store now (and probably did for awhile!) say “bio engineered” under the ingredients, in small letters. GMO. It’s gotten me to check labels. Funny how Europe have banned these items...US has to ship products there omitting the 😮GMO or bio engineered ingredients!
I worked witha Phillipino woman The sauce was on top shelf of my prep work station I WOULD NOT get it down for her until she could pronounce it, I'm I'm bad
She must be an amazing and incredible patient woman to put up with such a pathetic level of harassment at work. Do you have a lot of difficulty holding a steady job?

My mother passed away a few years ago and every year she made my uncle Chex Mix. I think I'll keep up that tradition. Thank you for this recipe.
My aunty made it for years too. She's still living, but don't make me none in past few years.
An aunt of mine made this too. Sadly, she died 15 years ago. I always hoped that I could make it as good as hers! I am going to try this tomorrow!
@@judymoorehead3046 how did yours turn out?

Thank you for sharing this recipe ! 👍😋👍❤️
Thank you . Great slight variation, yet your own recipe is still true ,overall, to the basic traditional recipe .
Wow! Looks so good...
Worcester sauce i never can say it either, so it is the W sauce. Thank you for sharing this recipe.
I like the smoker idea!
Thank you so much for this awesome recipe, I've always wanted to make it!
Have you made it yet? Enquiring minds are dying to know how it turned out.
Wish-ta-shire ! Is the way we say it in the south! Can't wait to try this! Love love love this channel ❤
In my part of NC, we say war-chust-shire.
And it's wrong! Lol
Great informational! Fun to watch and I know it will be a great "neighbors' gifts" for the holidays!
Also, every region of the United States pronounces Worcestershire sauce according to their regional dialect! So, all pronunciations are likely fine!
Miss you guys.
I LOVE this! No MSG. Real Spices. Real Soy Sauce and Worcester Sauce!! I LOVE this!
I do love the smoker idea!!!!
"Wer shestur shire"
Perfect quick and easy solution for my next get together! Thanks for sharing my friend! 👍👍👍
OMG - talk about addictive - I couldn't have it around the house - so yummy tho!
Great for holidays
I'm British. I laughed so hard when you tried to say Worcestershire sauce.
Here is how to pronounce it.
Wuss-ta-sheer sauce. You're welcome.
That sounds like my husband‘s Massachusetts accent😅
In Germany many people say wor shester sauce 😂...
That's how we pronounce it in Rhode Island, USA!
@@cathysilva5011 Then he is to be congratulated!
@@judymoorehead3046 Well done. Probably on account of your impeccable Colonial heritage. It's correct
Came back to say I’ve made this twice. Really is the best, easiest, quickest way to make this delicious mix!
You didn't make me none : (. You're right here in Virginia too
Thanks for sharing. 👍
thumbs-up for not ruining it with Cheerios
Once cooled, how do you store them and how long can they be stored for?
I love Chex Mix. I can't wait to try this recipe. Do you have any variations for a sweet version? Thanks in advance.

I have a roasting pan just like that. I love it. Says "made in America" carved in the bottom.
I’m from uk and we say it
Wistosheer sauce.
Nice Video 😊🎉
Woo sha shire...
Whist-er-sheer I'm Aussie and that's how every person I've met says it 😊
How long in the smoker and at what temp please
Are there instructions for the smoker? Pop it in the smoker after baking it in the oven or do the whole thing in the smoker using the same temperature as the oven instructions?

WOOOSHASHIREEEEEE
That's what we call it here in the south! Any other variation just sounds weird
WOOST-ter-sheer

I agree with the wooshasire part but where I’m from we say Puhcons for pecans
What temperature should I be at for the baking. I don't recall hearing it.
275°F
I changed out the cheese crackers and wheat Chex for more pecan halves and pretzel sticks, upped the heat to 325 and just baked for 20 minutes in two pans. Tried it at 275 for an hour the first time, turning them every 15 minutes and they wound up just shy of almost burnt. I'll know here in a few minutes how they come out this time.
Do you mean bake and then smoke it for a short time? or use the smoker instead for the entire baking time?
Smoker instead
Whisker sheer sauce.. with new england accent..😊
W sauce!
Hot sauce!! Wow ok!. Hmm..I'd probably do cayenne. (Not sure why I've never put any spice in it before)🤔
growing up I always called it "wash your sister" sauce. It stuck and to this day, I still call it that.
😂
Worchestershire is pronounced as it's English (British): "wister-sheer"
My favorite study buddy
i love this recipe idea! i say worshteshure 🤪
I’ve always said “worst-er-shure” 🤷♀️. That looks exquisitely delicious!
The British say Wu-sta- shure.
I gots to try this
Just made it again. 01/01/2025
Yummy!!!!
deliciousssssssssssssssssssssss
Wuss-ter-shire sauce. Strung speedily together is sounds more like woosh-ter-sher. In Worcester, MA, the locals say, woo-stah. 😅
Our family calls it "wooshy" sauce because none of us can pronounce it correctly, lol
"Woostersheer"
Wor-stir-sher.
W Sauce
Worse assure. You're welcome.
Washingmachine sauce 😂👍🤗❤
Washyoursister sauce! 🤣🤣🤣
I've always called it washyoursister sauce
I’m from Canada and pronounce it woo stir Shur
Wasabi peas also
In my house, and my IL's house it was said Wuss-ter-sure. I think my grandmother said it Wooster sauce, but she was an outlier. Nobody I've ever known (FWIW) has said Wor-ces/ches-ter-shire other than as a joke.

What temp do you bake it at?
275 degrees Fahrenheit.

Looks awesome, SO trying this. I have a question - you mention putting in a smoker - when? Before baking, after baking or smoke and bake at the same time? Thank you!
I'm guessing "in place of" the baking... checking/stirring it as you smoke it...
Would love to hear how it turns out!
We say "Woosta-sheer" sauce. 😂
I am educated by my French grandma and the Three Stooges, “whers-sta-sheer”
“Wooster-sheer”
Wooster-sure
I took a page out of stale crackers page and just call it "W" sauce for now on lol
I can’t find the recipe!!
woo-stuh-sher
I tried it, you have to increase the butter / sauce / seasoning. Was not enough
I do have a smoker
My grandfather used to say “Whats this here “ sauce
I just wanted a taste of the sauce on my chex mix and ended up drowning it.First try in awhile, turned out horrible. Not sure if I will use soy sauce next time.
"worsteshur" 😋😋😋
Worsh teh shire.
I shortened it to worcester
My grandma always said /worst-a-sheer. So thats how my whole family says it lol
Would a couple drops of liquid smoke work? I call it The W sauce 🤭
All the people I know pronounce it Worcestershire Sauce.
A Canadian perspective: Worster-shure.
Why make such a small batch? When we make homemade party mix our roasting pan is filled to the top. 🧑🏼🍳
It's a British origin word: the correct pronunciation of Worchestershire is "wor- shtir-shure".
Wuss’tuh’sher sauce :p
Or.. wus-ter-sher sauce.
The name is a town in the UK. It’s spelled weird, but even towns in America called “ Worcester” is pronounced “wus-ter”
And “shire” is very rarely pronounced SHIRE it’s “sher”
Someone on TikTok calls it wash your sister sauce or wash that A** in the shower sauce now I can't call it anything else lol
W-sauce.
Woost a shear sauce
Some people from Worcester MA get it. It's pronounced Wooster MA
Wheres-your-sister sauce
Wash your sister sauce
I say Lee & Perrins.
No bagel chips? 😢😢😢😢😢😢😢
Forget the bowl and mix everything in the roaster. One less thing to wash.
Many items at the grocery store now (and probably did for awhile!) say “bio engineered” under the ingredients, in small letters. GMO. It’s gotten me to check labels. Funny how Europe have banned these items...US has to ship products there omitting the 😮GMO or bio engineered ingredients!
It might be helpful if you look up what that means. I don’t think GMO means what you think it means.
Trust me I know what I'm saying it's Worcestershire sauce like New Hampshire
I worked witha Phillipino woman
The sauce was on top shelf of my prep work station
I WOULD NOT get it down for her until she could pronounce it, I'm I'm bad
She must be an amazing and incredible patient woman to put up with such a pathetic level of harassment at work. Do you have a lot of difficulty holding a steady job?
" - what's this here sauce - " is theproper pronunciation
Winchester sauce 🤣
The correct pronunciation is
Woo stah sher
I heard someone pronounce it "Wash yer sister" sauce.
It's Wash-Your-Rooster Sauce.
