Thanks, the medal was from the temperance movement who wanted to ban alcohol, I assume someone fell off the band wagon and in a drunk state threw away their medal into the field 😂
I think they were a bit more fancy than the military ones and they enamelled them sometimes and gave them to their sweetheart as a gift when they went to war 👍
