What is your proof that you are the animation director? Because anybody that can that they are the animation director of this game and we would not know
100 percent it is, I feel like this is marvels direction with games now, copy others and put marvel characters in it to grasp ahold of the obsessed ones. Vampire survivors was a blast btw, you just have to not judge it by its cover lol
The issue with the game is the hitbox for your character is off. Also you literally can't progress very quickly in silver Gotham map cause the mobs become way too op unless you play a lot of gacha. It's way less skill based compared to similar games in the same genre. Also the story so far is really boring, but the animations are decent. The concept is interesting thou, will keep at it for a bit to see if they improve it.
Wondering whether AI is involved is an understandable question but I feel like it'd still be extremely difficult to make something like this while heavily relying on AI, it's just not good enough yet. It's possible that the VOICES might be AI-synthesized, but everything else is probably just done using some kind of super-efficient animation pipeline that might use some kind of algorithm to animate in-between frames, but I wouldn't really consider that AI. I guess I'd need to watch more of the ep than what's show in this video to really be sure, though. They should have given this game a better title, "Heroes United" doesn't tell you anything about either of the game types this is. EDIT: I just realized - after watching the clips in this again, what they're almost definitely doing is mo-capping everything. That's how their animating it. Depending on how simple most of the scenes are, it's possible that doing that they could maybe just be creating every scenario without too much added cost. I'm betting that any bigger scenes, like fights, that would happen in any of these episodes, would happen no matter what choices the audience makes, and are produced in advance of the other stuff.
I am used to games being....more. This is very tiny and you don't really have a detailed model of the character. JUSTICE LEAGUE HEROES on PS2 had more impressive in-game models. I dunno. Maybe this is a different genre?

Always like to see devs try something a little different, unlike all the other DC games which have been formulaic copies.
