Hilary B. well I am glad you saw this and aren't getting them. lots of pain and suffering with that company....good luck with the new jeep when you get it!!!
Couple problems here, The only way to safely install fixed glass in a vehicle is with urethane aka windshield glue. Urethane will only work with glass. It will not work long term with plexi or lexan. The only "glass" that should be installed in a flexing member like the a Jeep hardtop is tempered glass. Which is incredibly strong combined with a urethane glue bed of at least 1/2". The kit installed on this Jeep is none of these things. You will continue to have leaks and cracks no matter how many times the shop replaces them. You may have luck if the panels are re-installed on a double bed of glue. Install a glue bed and let it dry 24 hours, then install the glass with another glue bed on top of the first. You'll get more flexing in the glue and not the glass. As for the leaks, you need to get a compatible glue.
I wonder if they have resolve this problem. I could be wrong, but it seems the material they use is cheap and not made for extreme temps. It needs to be automotive glass but that will add a lot of weight.
I have mine in the garage now. They started to crack a few weeks ago and leak everywhere. I can't get JeeTops to respond to my emails or warranty requests. I saw your video before I bought these and like an idiot, I bought them anyway. I was assured that the problems were all fixed and I wouldn't have your problem. Thanks for sharing.
RC-Collector don't trust that new glue BS...they told me that also...they would just Crack in the middle...too much money and anguish.. thanks for watching
What Country manufactures this modification? HONG KONG?!?! Does Jeetops supply the parts and sends them to a shop who installs their equipment? For the douchebags that wont honor their mistake needs their fkn ass kicked!! I feel bad for you guys! Try the local media in your area picotte58 its worth a shot, that's a lot of money to spend on garbage!
RC-Collector, any sun roofs I've seen installed uses a thick rubber seal, not glue. If these places are using glue to seal the glass, seems to me that's the problem. Different temperature changes will cause that hard plastic of the freedom top expand and retract? I could be wrong. How long was this glass installed before they started leaking? Just curious.
Because it is acrylic... accrylic cracks easily especially in winter. They need to use lexan poly which cost 3 times the price of accrylic but will still may crack. Best is tempered glass..but glass can also crack if the glass is not well supported.. 2019 and they are still in business... thanks for the viddo
Thnx for the heads up man... Although I don't have a Wrangler yet, am saving up for an Unlimited and was considering using this as a sunroof solution.. Won't waste my hard earned money on this!
im so glad i seen this video. I was ready to do my 2018 Rubicon. Not no fuckin more!!!! Sorry bout your luck but thanks for posting this. I would've been livid fucking pissed off
wow thank you for making this video and saving people! I would be so SOOO angry. It sounds like they are the homies at ok4wd though so at least you have an awesome shop!
Thanks for this video. I have a wild boar fast back t top, leaks like a mother fucker since I got it 4 years ago. 3k waste. Constantly trying to fix it. Been looking for something to replace it. Thanks for the video
So Let me get this straight. In the video you say that you had the panels installed by okeefe 4 wheel drive (spelling?) When I spoke with JeeTops I was told that the panels come with the glass installed and you remove and replace the entire panel. So did you have the glass portion installed or the entire panel? 2 other guys own them and they received already to plug and play. They have had no leaks or issues. Getting ready to order
Interested In Gathering Info when this bullshit product cam out, the Owner of Jeetops cam to my area and installed them on my jeep and the owners jeep of ok4wd personally. By installed I mean he CUT my panels. Maybe they offer them now in complete kits already done but it doesn't matter. That guy is a douche bag and didn't back his product. It was a complete nightmare and I regret ever buying them....such a bad mistake.
LOL...They call it aircraft material, that doesn't mean a damn thing. We constantly change those plexiglass windows on our aircraft that's because vibration and rigid plastic coupled with UV degradation doesn't combined. You got took buddy, I would not recommend to anyone putting a hole in the roof of your vehicle. Then putting plastic on it to cover the hole, not the brightest thing to do and did I hear you say $3000 damn man that is funny.
No idea what most of you are talking about... I've had mine for over a year now and not had a single issue with them. Chris has been nothing but friendly and extremely helpful during the purchasing and installing process.
demise138 I've lived in 3 states that register it as a SUV, and 2 states that list it as a passenger vehicle... I'd like to know what state considers a Wrangler a "truck"...
you raved about when you got them and now look at them....this mod is so easy to do on your own....plexy glass slid in to a cut roof so easy stop paying so much for simple stuff....i do mods all the time
O m g! ... I'm going to get a jeep in 2 weeks and when I saw the jeetops I was so excited thinking about having them installed. Not now! Thank you!
Hilary B. well I am glad you saw this and aren't getting them. lots of pain and suffering with that company....good luck with the new jeep when you get it!!!
You can do your own pano. Top for like hundred bucks that won't leak.

D. Smith I just installed my new JeeTops. So far so good. They are using a new glue and sealant that is supposed to correct the cracking problem.
RC-Collector don't trust that new glue BS...they told me that also...they would just Crack in the middle...too much money and anguish.. thanks for watching

Mine are perfect.
It's not a truck.
Pimp Daddy I’m confused by your comment I don’t know if your being sarcastic or ignorant A Jeep is registered as a truck Just a heads up
demise138 I've lived in 3 states that register it as a SUV, and 2 states that list it as a passenger vehicle... I'd like to know what state considers a Wrangler a "truck"...

In PA it's not plated as a truck. Don't be dumb.
Thankssssssss youuu man I almost make a mistake

Supposed to be aircraft quality plastic? Yeah right.
That is a shame.
Damn Shame brother. $$$$$$$ OUCH
I wish you speak Arabic
Anyway it’s cracked because it’s a glass and the Glases does not stretch so use a hard plastic
Hey bro . Use a Plastic not glass simply
