This has been so long in the making. I am so proud to have been asked to play Henrietta in what has become the biggest role of my career. Thank you Tines and congratulations to all the cast and crew. Rest now, you all deserve it.
We just gunna ignore thomas ? Dawg was smashed in between tidmouth shed wall and Tobias’ cowcatcher front … Practically crushing his pipes inside his boiler what for a human is like being strangled round the neck with a rope . A slow and painful death . So I think thomas had it way worse … just my opinion tho !
“This…is MY life!” “YOUR LIFE IS OVER!” God that line was so satisfying to hear. Oliver breaking away from Tobias’ influence was such a pleasure to watch.
Thomas’s death actually had me shaking. By a lot. The way it was handled: His facial expressions, the parts flying into the sheds, the way we never fully see his body until the end of the scene, Toby’s screams and Tobias’s sinister smirk, all of it… it hit hard.
The credits are playing as I'm writing this comment so I'm still experiencing the freshness of the whole movie. A decade in the making and a complete pay off without a doubt. Absolutely loved every second of this piece. The writing, the cinematography, the editing, the scoring is just marvelous, this is the definition of cinema. Comparing this to the first movie just shows how much has been improved in betweens these 10 years, no doubt this movie will inspire a great many just as the previous one did. A fantastic job Adam and an incredible work to everyone involved!
This is magnificent. I feel so sorry for Oliver to be honest. He had such a toxic relationship with his brother, constantly made to feel small and useless, blamed for things that weren’t his fault. Doesn’t justify his actions though. The voice acting was unbelievable. The screams of agony. The meekness. The anger. All of it. I can’t help but think that the song, “The Mind Electric,” would fit perfectly with this film.
Tines, words cannot describe how incredibly intense the awaited sequel was! My heart was pounding throughout most of the film, hearing your raw emotional moments. That’s some heavy fine work you did! Your music is amazing as always and the cinematography has certainly upped a level or two. Thanks for having me on board as one of the coaches! Was a pleasure to voice a small part in such a fantastic film! Can’t wait to see part three! Merry Christmas Tines!
I LOVE how Thomas' death was handled. It's the only death in the movie, which contrasts the 3 in Half-Pariah, but it's long, brutal, and REALLY shows how devastating the Tobias situation is. That is a quality over quantity situation I don't think I've EVER seen. Stellar show on your part! Can't wait to see what Tobias 3 is all about!
@@pepsijuan666Man his death was like that of a horror movie victim. Poor guy. At least his was quick. Thomas had to suffer for a bit before his face popped off like a bottle cap.
I've seen so much in this fandom as a kid that made me scared, but the scene of Thomas being brutally killed is perhaps one of most bone chilling things i have ever saw, and almost made me shaking in horror by that... The screams of Toby and Tobias as the parts flies all over the sheds... I-I've never felt that for a freaking Thomas' Fan Film... Just Bravo Tines! Keep up with whatever you wanna go fowards with your new job and your career!
Ngl my favorite part of this was when James became a dictator, which is what he believed Toby was doing, James became the very thing he was fighting against. The next one boutta be insane lmao.
To be fair he had reason to be skeptical of the very diesels that originally came to island to bring terror under Montague. Plus I think he is doing it out of retaliation for Thomas' death.
@@kazanu23 The best part is that there is no Optimus in this story, theres only a Megatron, and a Sentinel, and James and Toby both think their the Optimus, when their really just the Megatron and the Sentinel.
This is one of my favorite movies of all time! Tobias being evil, Toby being a good Montague, Oliver being Toby’s brother and him being the Arcane Merchant, THIS WHOLE MOVIE PERFECTION! I cannot wait for Part 3 of this series and thank you so much for creating this story! Let’s go Hybrid Engines!
10 years ago, I was a young lad amazed by Half-Pariah. Ten years later, the long-awaited sequel to that EXCELLENT fanfilm can finally be released! I may be 17 minutes into the film atm, but I've enjoyed every second of it! Stellar work, Tines!
@@georgiamapping7803 I know it was very brutal, yes, but we have to keep in mind that it wasn't Toby that was in control. But in regards to your question, let's just say my mindset has to keep focused on stuff and not overthink it so much.
Good lord… Ten years… Ten years in the making. It might take more ten years for the final part in this trilogy to release the final chapter in this series. Heck, for all we know, you were working on the third movie while making this one… But, it’ll be worth it. Because this was worth the wait! This is true cinema! This is what Hollywood wishes it could be: engaging from beginning to end, yet it still tells a story! Oliver is one of my favorite characters. And my word, you’ve built up upon him in ways I can’t even begin to describe! It makes sense now that Oliver gravitated to Montague when he converted, because he was also a different engine in another life. He also wanted to be something bigger than a simple tram… But he was clouded by delusions of bulit up hatred and promise… And now, he’s going to be a bigger threat then Montague could think of being. And Toby… Poor Toby. It’s strange thinking that Toby was a shorten name of Tobias, because Tobias is a horrid engine. It makes now why he pulled out that train too heavy for him. He was a cocky, stubborn, and hatful engine. We saw that with what he did with Thomas… Poor Thomas… And now, we shall wait… Wait for what James and Henry will do. Wait for the nobody to become a somebody. And wait for the half-pariah to truly split, once and for all…
If anyone was playing the most important part of this movie, besides Toby, Henrietta, James and Oliver, that would be none other than Thomas the Tank Engine himself. His death won't be forgotten, because he passed as a brave, reasonable and responsible friend and hero.
I see a lot of people talking about how brutal the death of Thomas was, and yeah I agree when I watched that scene I think I burned about 300 calories, but the scene made me think about how great of a character Thomas was. He was the most loyal character in this saga, he stood by Toby when he first met him at the quarry, he stood by Toby when Gordon kidnapped him, he stood by Toby & had his back when the diesels invaded the island & got into a physical fight to protect him. Thomas was the most loyal son of a bitch anyone could ask for. He was always loyal, he was Toby’s right hand man & always looked out for him. What I also love is that his loyalty & faith in Toby is what got him killed. He had so much faith that he could get the old Toby back that he fearlessly scolded an insane, narcissistic & violent creep. His loyalty to Toby is what led him to his death. Simply incredible character, Tines. Other than Gordon, by far my favourite character in the saga. Excellent work on this movie, 9/10.
Indeed, Tines' characterization of Thomas was so well done it almost made me cry! One of the best friends Toby could've asked for a long with Percy and Edward. 😭😭
10 years ago, 7-year-old me watched a fan film that defined his childhood. Ten years later, that fan film will get a sequel, and I will be here the second it releases. Thank you, Tines. For bringing us a sequel that will surely live up to the original.
This was definitely worth the 10 year wait for how much improvement and powerful cinematography went into this. I may be a minor in the film, but I'm in eternally grateful to be apart in something so big that I never would have thought I be accepted in! This is better than how I imagined it to be when I first read the two different scripts! Thank you for letting me be part of this, Tines! I also want to emphasis to everyone reading my comment without spoiling, I was fully aware as to what would happen to Thomas in this. While it was good to know what was going to happen ahead of time, I was not expecting how this film would go to the extreme lengths as opposed to that _other_ video from 2015 we shall never talk about, and how I originally pictured it in my head when I read the script(s). If this had been released early as far back as 2017, it would have immediately turned me off. Though I am older now, and seeing it for the first time how crazy it was put together, I'm not bothered by the dark sequence one bit. But _THIS IS_ Tines Sensahthe's movie, and it's _his_ own story. So it's obvious he can do whatever and make a full-on impression of himself for how much of a incredible content creator he is becoming. And it _is_ an alternate universe, friendly reminder. Far better than Sodor Fallout, I must say! That all I will say, but in short - don't let that one scene dismay you from everything else about this film. Nor let it stop you from enjoying this. Subject aside - this movie is top peak for how out of this world it is. No other words and expressions can describe how the visual effects, animation, action, etc. is amazing. 10 years was worth the wait! I'm glad it's finally finished and now released. And, again, I'm more than glad to have taken part in something so big. Even if it's a small minor role, it's the littlest things that means a lot the most that can have a big impact, and go a long way. Even after watching the premiere's post credits, and I don't know if any of you agree or have stuck to the end, I can't help but feel there may be one more movie in the planning stages, that might be coming out in 2034 to complete this sage. Or maybe not, who knows? We don't know anything at this point! Better to just let the man of the hour himself finally rest, focus on his personal life, and he'll get back to us on what he says. No guarantees that a final film to make it a complete trilogy saga will ever happen! Don't take my word for it. All in all - the movie was very intense and amazing. Tines had done another fantastic work! Thank you again for letting me be part of this, mate, it's such an honour! Rest easy now, and have a Merry Christmas, you deserve a long break now!
2:05:08 Can't say I didn't expect this to happened, was almost very hard to watch. Watched Half-Pariah back when it first came out in 2024 and man I'm glad it got the sequel it deserved. Keep it up Tines. Here's to another 10 years of Tobias!
Where the hell are the employees and who is allowing this to happen? Did fathat disappear or something and who is turning the turntable along with setting the points allowing toby to go where he needs to
@@NevlTheTaxEvaderin this it was more Toby and Thomas were the best friends in this … But I get what you mean … I personally feel bad for Thomas … he got killed mercifully by his feet frirnd it seemed … I mean GOD DAUMMMN TOBIAS IS RUTHLESS oh dear … he broke … That sent CHILLS down my spine .
Wow, just wow I I’m blown away by how good this movie was. Thomas,s death really had me on the edge of my seat and the fire rescue part was also my favorite. R.I. P Thomas , Gordon
I think it’s basic super saiyan or ikari when you think about it and its the case of two conscious beings in one form or in other words a fail fusion of sorts 🤔
Just. Oh my god. Holy shit. Dude. dUUUUUDEEE. I don't know what else to say that I haven't already said and resaid a thousand times by now - this movie is just incredible. It oozes passion from every sewn piece. The music, the acting, the writing, the editng. eVERYTHINGGGGGG. its so so good. again i cant get over the music - the use of motifs throughout the film from the bombastic Daisy to the longing Henrietta to Oliver's grand crescendo at the very end. I wish I had more new words to say for how much I adore this film and how proud I am of ye for it. Its simply incredible.
The movie was a banger. Wasn’t expecting Thomas to die. And watching Toby just get so traumatized seeing his first friend who accepted him on his first day on Sodor die by his buffers was so emotional. But R.I.P the little blue engine we’ll all miss you.
I was 7 when Tobias and the Half Pariah came out, now I’m 17 and this film blew my expectations out of the water! This truly was an experience and was enjoyable for every second. Amazing work Tines.
After watching the premiere of TATAM, my mind is just blown away from the film alone and I wanna give out my honest opinions. The VFX, Voice Acting, Sound Design, hell even Cinematography was spectacular! Kudos to you and everyone else involved in this film!
Hi Tines Sensahthe, I only watched your first movie ‘Tobias and The Half Pariah’ about a week ago, never watching it before and it was such a thrill to watch. This movie however was a whole different level. The writing first of all was outstanding. It was a genius move to create Oliver as an engine that just wants his brother back but never gets what he wanted. Daisy was a comic relief with all the action as well. You guys write everyone well. The visual effects are not able to be described as words, with you guys having assiduity with the lighting. You really surprised everyone and brought 1.6K people. Poor Thomas as well. Can’t wait to see the next film! Great job again and fantastic work to everyone apart of this.
In all my long years in the Thomas fandom, never have I been more amazed and absolutely astounded by one of the absolute BEST fan films in YEARS. This was worth the 10 year wait! I absolutely loved everything about this film! The story and the VFX were absolutely jaw dropping for something to be filmed in Trainz Simulator! This was a magnificent sequel and a brilliant MASTERPIECE! Loved this film a lot, Adam! So glad to see it on the premiere man! 🎉
As I sit in my grandmas house during this Christmas season, I realize that it was exactly 10 years ago when I found this video. And as I sit here watching it just turned 20, I’m glad to say the Thomas magic is still here and strong. This is just such an amazing Thomas fan production, props to all involved!
Saying this is a masterpiece is an understatement. There is so much to take away. The themes about identity, finding your purpose, continual growth of evil, feminism, etc. are all on display with genuine cinematic prowess. The first movie really built up Toby's journey to becoming a hero, and in this one he has all that completely ripped away piece by piece. You forget the 3 hour run time because you know to create continual unease and build tension with unrelenting drama. And when things get serious, they get really scary. This movie really digs into the psychological horror aspect of the hybrid concept, and it's genuinely terrifying seeing the journey the characters go through as chaos slowly but surely overwhelms everyone. From the horrific mind games to the eerie face work to the brutal death scenes, on top of an all-around stellar voice cast, a pulse-pounding score, and pitch-perfect sound editing, this knows when to come out swinging with everything it has got. Henrietta and Daisy absolutely steal the movie for me, which speaks so much on how much you made the lead female characters so strong, layered, and sympathetic. A lot of that is thanks to their incredible vocal performances, especially Cait as Henrietta. They absolutely deserve the best performance award in a Thomas production of the year. Of course, you bring everything you got for the scenes where Toby is pushed to his limit. Berkshire really sells how much of a threat Tobias is, and John makes for an incredibly tragic and sympathetic antagonist in Oliver. All in all, this is an incredibly emotionally eviscerating follow up to a fantastic first installment that more than lives up to the predecessor's impact, and I eagerly await to see how all of this wraps up in the final part of this trilogy, and I am so grateful to have played a small part in its creation. Even after all these years, this still feels 100% you and your feelings at work, and it shouldn't be any other way.
Tines, holy crap. You did it. This sequel trounces on the original. I already know I’ll be watching it again and again. You’ve destroyed any expectations I had and brought forth something truly special. Bravo.
I never thought that I would cry. 3 Times from a fan-made thomas film. Cinematics, VFX, music / score was impecible, voice acting - top notch. Rhys Griffin. You did Thomas justice. Like holy crap. Amazing work from everyone.
This was just....thrilling. The study of Toby's juxtaposition with Tobias was intriguing, and the disturbing imagery means this is officially a Thomas horror film. The modelling, voice work, editing and score were amazing. Bravo, Tines Sensahthe.
This is one of the most demented, disturbing, and distressing. Thomas and friends fan made movies every made. And it's a masterpiece astounding work Tine.
10 years later, 17-year-old me just watched a fan film that was beyond what anyone could imagine. A decade in the making. I had high, high hopes for this movie. Now, I am left speechless, in awe in what I've just witnessed. This has transcended every dingle expectation I had for this movie, the cinematography, framing, editing, characters, sets, colours... it's all so much more than what I ever thought would come from this film - a fan film I might add. Tines, you've created something incredible. It'll surely be polarising, but I love that it is. It's something new and beautiful for this fandom. You've really impressed me and so many other people. This stands as a testament for what's possible and what's to come. 10/10.
Ten years. Ten. Whole. Years. And now, the wait is over...and it was worth it. For all your hard work, I congratulate you and your team for it. Rest now, Adam. You deserve it.
Merry Christmas Tines! Well done on this film! It was an honor to voice Thomas and Atherton in your films and I can't wait to see what part 3 will bring. But definitely take time to relax first. You deserve it after 10 years of commitment to this project! The first film was really good, and this one is great! I'm sure part 3 will be fantastic! I'm going to miss voicing Thomas, he was determined to the end!
This is hands down one of the best fan made animated motion pictures to grace this website. You have cooked not just for the Thomas fandom, but for all of the aspiring filmmakers out there on the internet. The sheer, raw emotion that can be drawn from pngs on trains in this film is nothing short of a cinematic genius and I literally felt like I was freaking out at every point past the 5 minute mark. Bravo to you and your team Adam, bravo to all of your team! And Merry Christmas, thank you for blessing us with this gift.
It seems everyone is going on about the Thomas death sene … don’t blame them It’s hard to see your childhood character get killed by another on screen … Not to mention the before of him being in agony and the middle bit of his body coming apart into little pieces … then the part of Oh dear … he broke … GOD DAMMN TOBIAS IS RUTHLESS good acting from everyone !
This right here is one hell of a perfect sequel. Thomas's part in all of this left me completely stunned, and I'll keep my mouth shut so you all can see for yourselves. I'm hyped for a conclusion to this. Fantastic work Adam. Looking forward to the next one.
I saw this movie before everyone else thanks to a buddy, this movie is one of the greatest things ever made. The graphics, the cinematography, the VOICE ACTING! it all culminated into this fantastic film, which is inspiring me in many ways for my own projects right now. Well done man
I am blown away by the amount of dedication that went into Arcane Merchant. It's been ten years in the making, but the wait was definitely worth it. I've not even finished watching it and I cannot continue without making a comment about it's greatness. The Tobias films are so unique from any other fan-film and I think that's what makes them so perfect. Merry Christmas and to (hopefully) a third installment!
Seeing this finally come to life and debut for all to see, after so many years of waiting and working, has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my entire, admittedly not-very-long life. This is, by far, one of the most important acting projects I've ever done, to me, and I'm very pleased with the results. It is, in every way, an improvement on its predecessor, and does everything a great sequel should do. Hopefully, if a third film does come out in the future, I will be able to help out...and hopefully it won't take an entire third of my life for it to be completed. XD Seeing this released, at long last, is one of the greatest Christmas gifts I have ever received, and it has inspired me, truly. Thank you for everything, Adam: for your patience, for your help, and for letting me be a part of this. "This is my life now." - JJ Hatter, a.k.a. Oliver the Little Western Engine
Adam, this was PHENOMENAL. Exceeded my wildest dreams. Seems like a lifetime ago I was peeking at early drafts and even longer since I was blown away by the original. You didn’t just translate that story from page to screen, you magnified it in the full glory it deserves. I’m so proud and thrilled to see all your hard work pay off in a brilliant tapestry of time, love, and mastery. Merry Christmas, and bravo, my friend!
Thank you so, so much Milky! It meant the world that you helped me out with those early drafts, really helped me hone in on the plot and character points that really mattered, and helped me shape the movie into what it is today. I literally could not have done this without your help. Thank you so much for your support the past 10 years. A Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to you, as well, my friend!
This is the greatest Christmas present of 2024. Thank you for all the hard work and effort you've done for us Tines. I KNOW this movie is going to be a masterpiece.
It’s officially 3AM, I am honestly so glad this took so long to come out because it gave me time to really understand and go through Tobias and the Half Pariah aswell as gave us the blessing to have THIS. I really wanna go to sleep and not that I have much to say in this state regardless but it was SO MUCH MORE THAN I COULD HAVE EVER IMAGINED. I thought the story was going to conclude but it feels as if it’s only just begun and I remember feeling the exact same way 10 years ago. I really appreciate how despite being a decade later we are able to have so many parts stay the same, it really helps this feel like a sequel but my GOD THE VISUALS ARE SOMETHING ELSE. Are you okay, do I need to get a box of emotional support cookies for myself or for you? I also don’t know why I thought this was the end of Tobias’ story it feels like the BEGINNING. This has to be the most innovative project I’ve seen in my life, you have done something I didn’t think was possible. Also isn’t it funny how the after credit scene was Oliver again, I see what you did there. I don’t think I’ll be able to put into words how good this is for a few years because I’m still very young and there’s a lot I know I’m going to understand better when I’m older. I think the best I can say for now is congratulations, YOU DID IT. YOU SHOULD BE SO PROUD OF YOURSELF SO PROUD. You have made something that will leave your mark on this world forever, even when we are gone this is going to be something that’s leaves an everlasting impression on this world. Take a good long rest you more than deserve it. good night, it’s 3AM good morning more like
Prediction for the sequel: They meet the designers and they begin trying to fix Toby and separate Tobias from him. They also learned one of the designers has a device that could bring back the dead, but it can only be used once. Oliver attempts to find it so he could bring back his only friend Montague. But Toby and Henrietta think they could use it to bring back Thomas. However the Flying Scotsman catches wind of this and tries to use it to bring back his brother Gordon. He blames both Monty and Toby for his demise.
That was an amazing film!!!!! So intense, frightening and terrifying, I was on the edge of my seat knowing what was happening. The cliffhanger at the end of the film was just crazy knowing that we won’t know what will happen next. Hats off to you and all the cast for making this film happen.
*Knocks Atherton out cold* "He'll be alright." 😂 Incredible movie, man! Loved every part of it. And do we even need to talk about the VAs? They did a phenomenal job, and especially your voice acting for Toby. It's immaculate. Words can't even describe how much how much I loved this. Bravo, Mr. Tines Sensahthe! Can't wait to see what you got planned in the future. *Spoilers:* Oh, and R.I.P Thomas and that one poor guard.
One of my friends who helped out with this gave us a preview by saying that Half-Pariah was "Batman Begins" while this would be "The Dark Knight"... I think that was an understatement Well done man, I don't think my heart has ever pounded that hard for any other Thomas fan project! Now I'm looking at my Bachmann Toby funny...
I remember seeing Half-Pariah back when I was a kid, and being completely blown away by it! The story, editing and music were all so good for the time, and even hold up really well today. And now, it's time to be blown away all over again lol. CAN'T WAIT FOR THE PREMIERE!
I remember when Tobias and the Half Pariah was new. All the way back in 2014. Take of the Brave was new then too but half pariah grabbed my attention in a way few Thomas fan projects have. It’s been a wild 10 years since the first movie and I’m no longer a boy but our collective love for Thomas has not changed one bit no matter the state of the franchise. Projects like half pariah and now arcane merchant are proof that we as a fandom can evolve and improve when we love something as much as Thomas. I can’t wait to see this movie in three days time and I have no doubt the 10 year wait will be worth it. Edit: IT WAS WORTH IT
This is my favourite movie of all time. I watched it with a friend who isn't a Thomas fan and he loved it just as much as me. You haven't just made an outstanding Thomas movie, you've created a cinematic masterpiece that anyone can enjoy. The entire cast is outstanding, the storytelling is above and beyond and that soundtrack is unbelievable. Adam, I truly hope you're proud. I hope you know just how good this movie is and I hope you know just how much the Tobias -franchise means to me and many others. Thank you. You are one of the good things.
I remember being young watching Half Pariah and now Arcane Merchant recontexualizes the whole 1st movie! I feel so bad for Toby/Montague because he lived a lie and didn’t even know it, worst is watching it taken infront of you with no ability to do anything. Oliver meanwhile just wanted his brother back, not realizing how bad his brother really was! Also Daisy was the MVP in this! Her actress did an impeccable job!
Montague's personality had another side, which he carefully hid from everyone. Sometimes it broke out and made itself known. Remember those episodes in which Monty helped the diesels, condemned Tobias and sympathized with Oliver when he was humiliated by his brother. This is confirmed by the flashback scenes, the words of the diesel locomotive and Oliver's confessions. The incident at the harbor split the diesel personality into two different parts. The first part took strength, luck and a hidden part of the character of the former "I", among which were love, sympathy, generosity and other "virtues". This part was placed in Tobias's body along with Montague's engine. There it came into contact with the sleeping personality of the steam tram, used his name and partial image to take shape. Toby, to some extent, is Montague's reincarnation, which multiplied and preserved the technical part in the face of strength and luck, and along with it saved the "best" qualities of the diesel soul, which were now not limited by anything except echoes of the former self and crossroads with Tobias's mind. Let's remember how Toby showed the qualities of a stern leader at the end of the first part and during a personal clash with Montague, and how he tried to restore order to Sodor in the second film. The fate of the second part is known to everyone: Behind it remained the image of the former self, his name and memories and that part of the character that was in plain sight. Montague received a new image and a second chance. And behind that feces that remained from the "worst" part of the previous consciousness, there was nothing. Montague the steam locomotive was not a full-fledged reincarnation of Montague the diesel. This is essentially an example of the slag and shit that remains from the personality of a diesel locomotive. He has no future, he has nothing to work with and nothing to be proud of. The only thing a steam locomotive is capable of is grumbling about fate, whitewashing "his" past, tyrannizing those around him and blaming others for his situation. Montague the steam locomotive calls himself a shadow and half a pariah. This speaks of a subconscious understanding of his own secondary nature, and that without talents and any strength, he is a nobody and has no name. And he is only given to live in the past, blame others and shift responsibility onto others. The first film can be interpreted as a victory over the worst part of his own self in personified form. In the second part, Toby tried to solve the problems of the outside world, but loses vigilance over his own consciousness and comes to the uneasy conclusion that he does not have enough personal strength to cope and needs the help of others. Perhaps the scenario of the third film of the trilogy can be characterized as follows: Toby and his loved ones may not have enough strength to cope with Tobias, which will force them to transfer Toby's personality with parts of Montague diesel back to the diesel locomotive body. These actions will force Toby to reincarnate Montague into diesel. The price for defeating Tobias will be conversion from a hybrid engine with the loss of all advantages. But now, Toby, already as class 40 Montague (Montague diesel 2) will be able to correct one of the mistakes of the past personality - to curb the bastard psychopath, or at least deprive him of the powers of the hybrid engine. The further plot will be built on the fact that Montague (Toby) will try to atone for the sins of his past reincarnation - that he did not stand up for and did not help Oliver, well, and his other mistakes and failures. For example, remember the first scene of the Archen merchant: Probably, the first Montague diesel did some bad things, since the steam engine was so happy to bring him to the scrap yard. You can even show how the diesels are returned to their leader - not the old Class, 40 Monty, but the best version of his first personality. Together with his subordinates, relatives and friends of Toby, they fight on two fronts - against Sodor and Oliver's henchmen. In the end, you can avoid cliches and show that there is tension between Sodor and the Montague line, but both sides have neither the time nor the strength to fight. A kind of "non-aggression pact" is concluded between them and they go their separate ways. Montague accepts those Sodor engines that he can on his branch line, and he has to part with the rest. The image of Montague's third reincarnation can be shown as a better version of his first form. Probably the worst part of Monty (Montague the Engine) will get a second reincarnation and will return in the person of Duck, for example, with a black livery. The first Montague the Engine appeared before the viewer in the image of a trampled pride, which will do any abomination to get back what it wants. Duck (the second Montague the Engine) will be shown, eaten up by complexes and insecurity, an envious person who seems to admire the object of envy and is ready to lick his boots, but deep down considers himself worthy of all the best benefits. Perhaps we will be shown how Duck fawns on Tobias and regularly flatters him. Tobias will tolerate him because Duck's sycophancy flatters his vanity, and he replaces what Tobias imagines Oliver to be - a toy for vanity and a wretched man, against whom he will look better. But while Tobias does not see, he plots against him, in the hope of getting his engine back and becoming a hybrid himself. One can even depict the struggle in Duck's (the second Montague the Engine) soul between his attempt to get used to the role of Tobias' toy and his desire to take his engine away from him. And in general, Duck is the apotheosis of the fall of the worst part of Montague's personality as it is reincarnated: Montague diesel => Montague the Engine (trampled pride) => Duck (pathetic and two-faced envious person). Now let's compare this with the best part: Montague diesel => Toby => Montague diesel 2 (the best version of Montague diesel).
Tines, this is nothing short of amazing, this releases nearly 4 years since the first trailer was seen. The attention and effort towards this has been nothing short of incredible and I think I speak for everyone when I say thank you so much for bringing us this absolutely fantastic movie! Also that thumbnail is absolutely the definition of cinematic.
I have waited ten years for this sequel. And after what I just saw, I'm going to wait ten more years for the next. That was easily one of the best fan projects I have seen in the Thomas community. Everything from the VFX to the voice acting was incredible.Everyone who worked on this project was giving their 110%. Amazing job to everyone!
Holy. . .F**KING. . .CRAP!! This was. . .PEAK!! If I had any indication of being on the edge of my seat this Christmas, you’ve definitely earned that award, Adam! From your story alone; not to mention the visuals and the score itself, you slayed it out of the park in terms of film and quality!! This whole anticipation was 10 Years worth. . .every. . .waiting moment! You, the cast and everyone else’s involvement in this twisted yet beautiful piece of cinema blew my expectations away! All I pray for is that Part 3 can live up to its predecessor. Because let me tell you, if the third act was able to make me shed a tear, I don’t even want to begin knowing how you’ll be able to conclude this ‘soon-to-be’ trilogy! The sky has and is bound to be limitless in your favor, mate, so don’t waste it; and keep our hopes high until the end! Cheers to you, Adam! And, once again. . .Thank You!
I am lost for words. We are being truly spoiled this year! Bad Influence, Horrors at Hawin Lake, and now this! 101% worth the wait, and I know for sure the next part will be worth the wait as well!
We now have to see a part 3, like damn this was fire. Also never thought Oliver was Tobias’ brother. If there is a third movie I hope it’s just as good as before!
I have so much to say, but I love how differently I processed what Oliver and Atherton were going through in this installment. Oliver doesn’t feel complete, and feels like he needs someone (and something) to get there. The frightening thing is you can get the thing you think you need and find out you still feel the exact same way as before. So much of your self-worth comes from within. What happens if your hybrid engine is taken away? If that was all you are, you are indeed no longer whole. What compliments this so well is Atherton’s depiction here. Subtle; but I felt like i locked onto it more than I ever have before. The respect and loyalty Atherton has for an engine as cunning as Oliver was very palpable. Atherton sees him as complete and wants Oliver to see it, but Oliver can’t accept it. I love the way you depicted two sides to not feeling whole. The grief within one’s self, and the disappointment and confusion others feel when they can’t help you see what they see.
Happy to be a part of history! Edit: Finally watched the movie and whilst it does take a while to get going, BOY does it get going! The psychological horror here was a particular standout and gave an added layer of gravitas to an already impactful and imaginative cinematic canon. Whilst the first film may have alienated some audiences with its absurdity, it feels Tines has a much clearer idea of what this film is as a piece of art and rolls with the bonkers sometimes confusing nature of it all. I’m just gonna say this now, but this was the project the fandom needed as a spark of creativity, opening up the imagination of what we can achieve not just on a technical level but what kind of stories we can tell. Don’t be afraid to make something unrealistic and absurd! There’s more to these characters than just the realism!
Is it wrong that I for the first time teared up when Thomas died … LIKE I said a silent “no Thomas no no no” Yeah … that’s never happened before with any Thomas fan made or official movie . And yet … here we are That’s how you know you made a good movie … when you made a tough 15 year old tear up. I mean WOW that boiler shot of Thomas … eesh god . And the death of Gordon back to haunt once again with them boiler exposed … And that ending shot … Toby being double halved with Tobias is … WOAH too many good things and yet so little to type … all I can say is can’t wait to see you again when I am 25 for the next movie Maybe Tobias and the half self Have an AMAZING day !
What an amazing film! I recall watching Tobias and the Half-Pariah when it first came out a little over a decade ago now, and just as I was then, I'm blown away. One of the great joys about Thomas fandom is that we can take such established characters, and do something completely new and exciting with them nearly eighty years on! This was very much a splendid watch, and well done to all of those involved! Terrific work!
This movie was the greatest fan made project in the entire fandom, this was a masterpiece in every way, Tines be proud of yourself and your team because you have done the impossible. - from Percy And The Beast Productions!
I kinda knew Thomas would die. But I like how Tines subverted our expectations by making us think that Thomas would die in the Oil tanker derailment. Instead he died in an even more brutal way, literally being beaten to death by Tobias. I feel like ever since Victor Tanzig killed him off, people have been hoping on the "Kill off Thomas" bandwagon. Not complaining or anything, just something I noticed. Anyway time for my overall thoughts on this film. Yeah...this film was absolute fire (big shock). I think I like Half-Pariah better, only because this one was pretty confusing. Like...Montague is Toby...who is Tobias...who is someone different? It's pretty confusing. I'm also pretty confused by the very beginning. Montague ended up in a scrapyard? Why? And why a steam engine scrapyard? Also who was that old American tank engine who seemed to have PTSD from Toby? I hope that's explored in the 3rd film. I also have a theory that James is gonna die in the 3rd film. Makes sense to me. I don't see him and Toby/the diesels coexisting. Also how was Daisy able to pull Toby and Thomas back onto the rails with the way they were angled? Atherton (Bear) was a really interesting character in this. Going from villain, to blind follower, to straight up hero. I do wonder why they let him onto Sodor, considering he was more of Montague's right-hand man than Oliver was. I dare say he did more damage that Oliver did in the first one. Daisy is easily my favorite character in this. I love how chivalrous and batsh*t crazy she is, it's a nice new take on her. Also the coaches calling Henrietta "Diddy"...uh...Diddy? Was that intentional? That Gordon scene was bone chilling, gave me Shed 17 vibes. Can we also talk about how beautiful this film is? It literally looks like something out of the real world. When it got to the 2.5 hour mark, I KNEW there would be a 3rd film. There was no way they could wrap up the story in 10 minutes. I give this film a solid 8.8/10. It was SUCH a fun ride and absolutely worth the wait. I'm super pumped for the 3rd film, even if it takes another 10 years to come out. Wonder what it'll be called. "Tobias and the hybrid revolution" has a nice ring to it.
I think what the film was trying to say, is that when Montague's parts were put into Tobias, his personality/mind were copied and took over Tobias' but due to the memory loss, he was essentially reborn and became the Toby we followed in Half-Pariah The true Tobias, with the blue eyes, was who "Toby" was before the accident, a completely different character, a violent and abusive monster. It's two different characters/personalities stuck in one body.
As for the Diddy thing, Tines stated in another upload that he came up with the nickname several years before the P. Diddy allegations and didn't want to change it right before release
What hasn’t been said already? This is the greatest piece of cinema to ever come out of this fandom! This instalment not only beats the original (that’s still a masterpiece..) but shatters expectations out of the water with that mind-blowing production quality and voice acting. Absolutely phenomenal! 🔥👌
I am genuinely so amazed. this is one of the most impressive and passion filled projects I have ever seen. Your direction and composition is so dynamic; every sequence had me hooked by the actors with the sound mixing complimented so wonderfully done by the score. the ups and downs were driving me crazy, it is just so so good. be very proud of yourself for your hard work, you have such an amazing gift and it shows. as a huge fan of your work, thank you for being such an inspiration and a creator
This is the Dark Knight of the the Thomas the Tank Engine Universe. I love how you handle Oliver's Arc in this movie. I remember I was little when Half Pariah came out and watch it with my family. This had me in tears. I hope for a continuation eventually You are truly amazing
This is one HELLUVA SEQUEL. Apart from building upon the story and raising the stakes even higher, I LOVE how Daisy was characterized in this. She went from uptight, highly sprung diesel to MVP in the story and I live for that. When I first saw the teaser for Daisy, I thought she was going to be one hell of a diesel enemy for Henrietta, but thank god I was wrong. I'm absolutely amazed by their dynamic and I know Henrietta would go bananas should Daisy perish in the third movie. Speaking of the third movie, I am willing to wait TEN MORE YEARS for that! Tines, you are one of the greats in the Thomas fandom, taking the franchise and reinventing the wheel when it comes to incorporating fantasy and sci fi aspects to the series.
I remember watching Half Pariah 10 years ago and today I watch Arcane Merchant. Tines, this was worth the wait, the music, voice acting, and everything else was phenomenal. Merry Christmas and Have a happy New Year.
I'm literally left speechless! Really worth the 10 year wait, even though I never expected the final project to have the plot it had. A lot of scenes literally made me feel uneasy, because I literally never knew what to expect and honestly some stuff put the fear of god into me! Execellent! Brilliant! Marvelous! Literally can't wait for the third movie of this trilogy? Honestly I would gladly wait until 2034 for it! But this was a masterpiece! Thank you for this!

I… have… no… words. I have no idea what I just watched SPOILERS The ending was insane! Toby practically suffered almost the entire movie, we have no idea what happened to Oliver, the diesels, what James and his gang will do next, the fact Thomas has perished, the Daisy and Henrietta fight scene. Gosh all of those Toby scenes were beyond hard to watch. And how could I NOT mention the voice acting especially you as Toby, this was easily the peak of your voice acting everyone did a good job. But I will say, the cliffhanger kinda pissed me off I have no idea if there’s an end credits scene for another sequel I need to check but if there is another sequel coming who knows how long that will take. Man this was spectacular. good job Tines!
Finally after so many years this movie has come out this is the best day of my life, even though I had to stay up till 2:00 in the morning just to watch it I love it, and The Grand Design of the movie is amazing along with everything in it I am so excited for when the third movie is going to come out hopefully it doesn't take as long
I saw the first film when it came out 10 years ago. I was 10 at the time. Now I'm 20, and I've finally had the chance to see you bring Arcane Merchant to life. Words cannot describe how insane this film was. The craft, VFX, everything was beyond what I imagined it to be and I'm so looking forward to what you have in store for us in the future! Even if it takes 10 more years, I'll be waiting! Now go get some rest!
Not one of us who waited ten years for the sequel ever expected anything remotely like this. You have pushed the creative limits of Trainz beyond the wildest concepts that anyone could have ever imagined. From fabulously dynamic shots and articulate editing, to a gripping plot that had every person clenching every muscle in their bodies this Christmas, this film had it all, including Thomas’ death. It was beyond brutal and savage, but played to the strengths of Tobias’ unrelenting evil and performed aptly through symbolic editing through a gruesome graphic match of colour. Yes, Thomas‘s death was traumatising but this is not a TV show for kids. This is a cinematic masterpiece and the characters were crafted to tell that fantastic story. Well done, mate. You deserve a real pat on the back.
This has been so long in the making. I am so proud to have been asked to play Henrietta in what has become the biggest role of my career. Thank you Tines and congratulations to all the cast and crew. Rest now, you all deserve it.

Literally what you see with Megatron and Optimus Prime (specially in the new movie) D-16 became the very thing he hated as well.
@@kazanu23 The best part is that there is no Optimus in this story, theres only a Megatron, and a Sentinel, and James and Toby both think their the Optimus, when their really just the Megatron and the Sentinel.

SO TRUE
Good lord…
Ten years… Ten years in the making.
We saw that with what he did with Thomas… Poor Thomas…
And now, we shall wait… Wait for what James and Henry will do. Wait for the nobody to become a somebody. And wait for the half-pariah to truly split, once and for all…
I wonder what the red eyes mean for oliver. We know what blues eyes meant.
@@supergenesisstation1991nothing good, that’s for sure…
If anyone was playing the most important part of this movie, besides Toby, Henrietta, James and Oliver, that would be none other than
Thomas the Tank Engine himself.
Good explanation bro and yes, another 5 to 10 years will let him rest ❤

10 years of waiting, and boy, it was worth it! I was completely at the edge of my seat! I highly recommend this to anyone!
Bravo.
When the world needed him the most, he returned.
I never thought that I would cry. 3 Times from a fan-made thomas film. Cinematics, VFX, music / score was impecible, voice acting - top notch.
Rhys Griffin. You did Thomas justice. Like holy crap.
Amazing work from everyone.
Thank you very much!
“You all are in MY life now.” Genuinely gave me goosebumps
You, my friend, deserve an Oscar. Your portrayal of Thomas is probably the best I've heard.

XD
Seeing this released, at long last, is one of the greatest Christmas gifts I have ever received, and it has inspired me, truly. Thank you for everything, Adam: for your patience, for your help, and for letting me be a part of this.
"This is my life now."

Yeah also the man vs train reference in 2:05:30
It’s officially 3AM, I am honestly so glad this took so long to come out because it gave me time to really understand and go through Tobias and the Half Pariah aswell as gave us the blessing to have THIS.
Go help Tines make the next one that’s a fire idea

Incredible movie, man!

Oh, and R.I.P Thomas and that one poor guard.
One of my friends who helped out with this gave us a preview by saying that Half-Pariah was "Batman Begins" while this would be "The Dark Knight"... I think that was an understatement
Well done man, I don't think my heart has ever pounded that hard for any other Thomas fan project!

HANDS DOWN the BEST sequel to a Thomas fan film I've ever seen. Especially with the PLOT TWIST. And Thomas' death was so uncalled for!
DUDE THIS IS SO SO GOOOD!!! You ate so so hard and everyone involved should be so so proud of their work! Fab job man!!

And, once again. . .Thank You!
So so so so happy to be able to watch the premiere of one of the most seminal TTTE fan works of all time!
We got TATAM before GTA 6

I mean WOW that boiler shot of Thomas … eesh god .
And the death of Gordon back to haunt once again with them boiler exposed …
And that ending shot … Toby being double halved with Tobias is … WOAH
too many good things and yet so little to type … all I can say is can’t wait to see you again when I am 25 for the next movie
Maybe Tobias and the half self
Have an AMAZING day !
NOW WE GOTTA WAIT ANOTHER 10 YEARS!!! BRING BACK THOMAS!!!!
... do you see the currant state of thomas?
We had to wait 10 years because it kept got getting delayed. But it doesn’t mean that we have to wait 10 years for a third film.
I think what the film was trying to say, is that when Montague's parts were put into Tobias, his personality/mind were copied and took over Tobias' but due to the memory loss, he was essentially reborn and became the Toby we followed in Half-Pariah
The true Tobias, with the blue eyes, was who "Toby" was before the accident, a completely different character, a violent and abusive monster.
It's two different characters/personalities stuck in one body.
i get the impression Thomas was planned to die in this movie LONG BEFORE, Victors. It did take ten years to make this after all
As for the Diddy thing, Tines stated in another upload that he came up with the nickname several years before the P. Diddy allegations and didn't want to change it right before release
What hasn’t been said already? This is the greatest piece of cinema to ever come out of this fandom!

The ending was insane!
