The location is Happisburgh (Haysbro) in North east Norfolk, uk.
The remnants of the coast defenses, old ironwork etc are now being removed (July 2011).

Great video. I visited Happisburgh this summer. The metal staircase is long gone. The two concrete footings remain in position. They are now about sixty yards from the cliff.

So many lovely memories of family outings at Happisburgh and what a great chillaxing sound track. Loving the scenery and somewhere amongst my hoard, i have some photos of my dear late mum Janet taken at Happisburgh Lighthouse, thanks for sharing........................................

Lovely memories of Happisburgh when i lived in North Walsham as a teenager.
I now live in Stamford, Lincolnshire but do love to go and visit such a beautiful place, but always a little apprehensive to see what more land is lost 😢
    Mother nature at her worst!
But can't wait to visit again 😍

Hi Becks! Well there's been significant erosion at Happisburgh since this video was recorded, despite all the old ironwork being cleared from the beach and replaced by a substantial line of large rocks. I don't know if you were familiar with the spiral steps that lead to the beach from the field above (in the video), they were quite close to the cliff at that time, they were removed some months later due to erosion, leaving the large concrete base blocks in place on the beach.
Those blocks are now 20 to 30 metres from the cliff, lots of erosion in that time.
I will include a link that you might find interesting below.

What you will see in the video there has happened just recently, the last few weeks or so.
All the best, and thank's for visiting a commenting.

Hi Alan! Thanks' for your kind comments.
Yes it's been sanitized and I much preferred it before the changes.
It's still interesting to visit and see the continual changes, but I miss those terrace houses and the historical links to the train line that never quite happened.
    Thanks' again.
    Colin.

Great film of Happisburgh when it was at its most rugged and beautiful, before the great tidal surge of 2013 and the all-powerful Health and Safety lobby decided to "improve" the coastline. I still visit on a regular basis, but it will never be that beautiful again, many thanks.
