I've been watching your videos for a couple of weeks now. I'm 75, city born and raised. As a younger man I wanted to grow up on a farm; however, as the Lord directs, I never spent any time on a farm. That said, I've learned so much from your channel, and am now having a chance to live a small part of my life vicariously through you. Thank you, and thank God. Keep them coming. God Bless!
Sir, You re going to find out what a hard worker this young Eric is. I’m sure his farm produces more because of the pride and ownership they show us each video PEACE
Hi Eric, I have been watching your channel for over a year now and I must say, it is the BEST DAIRY FARM on TH-cam. Your family farm is the most organized, most clean and your herd management is top shelf. I do watch others but they don't hold a candle to yours. Thank you so much for your videos. Keep them coming. My best wishes for your success.
Love your channel! Your work ethic! We raised just a few cows for beef (Angus) each year growing up all the way into my early 20s. Dad would make us (my brother and I) drive the farm truck into the valley each summer to a corn farmer's place to pick up bins of the crap yield OR he would make us cut stocks and fill the back of the truck up. 9/10 times it was cutting stocks. Hated it then, but look back now and those are some of my best memories with him. Always fun having the bull man come over or the mobile slaughter man...bucking hay in the summers heat. Thank you for your content man.
We cross bred our holsteins with Fleckveih for an experiment. We have nine in our herd of 150 milking. Their average production is higher than the holsteins and they are an absolute dream to work with and beautiful udders. Maybe it was beginners luck but we plan to keep cross breeding more holsteins
🤣🤣You do know why that dog is there, right? Slim Jim wants more viewers and since he is "such a ball of fire" himself, he needs some useless dog to attract more views 🤯💩👺
Great video Eric! Looks like all the cows got moved fairly easily. Hope the Kubota still fits under some of the roofs. Does seem strange that the cows would congregate in the one area - but then again, I wonder what the cows think of some of the things people do. Enjoyed the video. Well done!
Eric, thank you for the video. I am healing up in the hospital from back surgery and it was one of the 1st things I watched and I watched. Love the little puppy running around have a blessed day
I don’t know. I didn’t notice too much of a difference between the tread on those new skid steer tires. I think you could have got another season out of them.
Eric your dad dog sure is growing up cute little thing. The barns look nice and cattle look good and a lot of calves . I say you need to have new tires on skid loader wow you wore them out almost to the rim. Wow real nice new tires look a lot better.
Good to little one (duchess) helping out. She will need trained to help move the cows but with her little bark I don't know if they will care or not but who care she is so cute. Love the new tires they look like the ones I use on my quad!
Seemed like a real efficient process for rotating the animals as the move through the cycles. Any plans to have them all at one farmstead or is it possible to link up the pasture lanes?
When you are burning the horns off. Just burn fully down around the bud. There's no need to scoop out the bud. We find the heads don't hurt as much then. Plus they heal quicker
Your skid steer tires were well worn, surprised you could keep them inflated, they usually go flat. Those new tires make a huge difference, as much concrete that you have to work on and the loads of bedding and manure and so forth is a lot, I'm shocked you get as many hours on them as you do. Thanks for sharing, have a great night and a fantastic Friday and weekend.
When grandpa saw those old tires, I asked him if they ever recycled stuff like that in his day. He said, " Absolutely! I'd put stuff like that on the wife's car!"
We’re out west and have open lot corrals with shades. Our cows bunch up in the summer even when there’s plenty of space under the shades and our nutritionist said it was due to flies. He didn’t know all the whys, but cows respond to fly pressure by bunching up.
Thats some nice tread on those tires I worked at a greenhouse years ago and we where on concrete 99 percent of the time and we had our tures retreaded with hwy truck treads worked great lasted a long time
Eric have you ever thought about a errowquip for the rental farm for loading and unloading your heifers,it can always be taken down and moved to the calf barn if you wanted to. Love 💕 how dutches loves to get in and help you and your dad moving cows or changing tires on the skid loader looks like she is doing a great job of trying to help you and your dad.
Great content. Always moving cows for one reason or another. Tires look good. The tires were pressed on to the rims? The pooch is pretty brave around those cows. No fear. Stay safe.
Wow! Seems like it was 6-8 months ago I was watching you swap around the tires (front to back & visa versa) and in the following video replace them since comments told you that wasn’t a great idea. It’s crazy how time flies.
To be really honest, I think that you will regret to cross the cows with the montebelairde bulls. We farm in the Netherlands and milk about 100 cows, and about 20 of them are half or 25% montebelairde crossed with Holsteins. Most of them have real bad udders. The feed and legs are really dependent on the mothers. And they get in condition to fast what makes them hard to breed if you start to late. And they are real jerks in the barn and the milking parlor. But I hope they work better for you as what they do for us. Good luck!
We have some Fleckviehs crossed with Holstein and are super happy with them. The are producing just as good as the rest of the cows and they are a stronger cow
There's no way my Jack Russel would have just stayed and hung around us. The moment he got free he was gone. And trying to catch a Jack Russel that doesn't want caught....you ain't doing it. When he saw a stranger he would do that walking sideways thing, roll over to get his belly rubbed....I would yell PICK HIM UP! and they would transfer him to me. Otherwise, even if I had him cornered, his speed was incredible. Those little 4" legs would really get him moving. But such a good dog. He slept in our bed or usually with the boys in their beds. Spoiled rotten.
Do you have any trees or shade structures in the meadow? I can still remember on my grandfathers farm how the milk cows would gather under the few large trees they had access to. How's the new barn working out, time for a review?
I use the burning for my nigerian dwarfs. They are so small like half their damn head gets burned off. They look pretty goofy for a while. They are fine like 10 mins later.
Eric i honestly do not like to hear about the cows who have to leave y'alls wonderful farm. It is sad to me. They are treated so well by your dad and you.
Your dry cows could be bunching together and not resting in the stall because of flies. Flies on the belly and legs really irritate her. I have been applying fly spray with a liquid backpack blower/fogger and it has greatly improved resting time. Focus the fog under the animals and not as much on the backs. Backpack blower with 15 liter/4 gallon tank about $450
Cows are so bizzare in the heat they make weird decisions. Same thing happens with us, 175 stall freestall barn and they all crowd on half of it during the hot days. Never makes any sense.

Saskdutchkid anyone?
Just an awesome video Eric. You and your dad and Duchess are 2 great people and a puppy Thank you so much.
I never get tired of watching the goings on at The 10th Generation Dairy Farm. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I always love seeing you and your Dad working together, I lost my Dad when I was 10yrs old and I still miss him everyday!
Love your channel! Your work ethic!

Your herd of cattle is so impressive! From the calves to the production cows all great animals!
Duchess is such a good little farm hand. Loved how she helped you chase the cow down to the other barn. How did you ever get along without her?
You are so quiet and respectful with the cows, lovely to see! Hi Eric, Robin
New subscriber 😊 Beautiful farm and well cared for animals...nothing like family and it shows. Stay blessed to you, Dad and family 🙏
Eric, cherish the time you have working with your dad. You two seem to work together well.

Glad to see the “attack” pup helping out
🤣🤣You do know why that dog is there, right? Slim Jim wants more viewers and since he is "such a ball of fire" himself, he needs some useless dog to attract more views 🤯💩👺
The pup had to test the water to make sure it was ok for the new calves.
it feels like just a few vids ago Duchess was tiny and could barley stay standing she was so small, love seeing her grow up, shes so cute!
You have one heck of an logistical operation going on there.
Looks like your heifer barn is working nicely, those pregnant ones you moved were A1 replacements.
Great video Eric! Looks like all the cows got moved fairly easily. Hope the Kubota still fits under some of the roofs. Does seem strange that the cows would congregate in the one area - but then again, I wonder what the cows think of some of the things people do. Enjoyed the video. Well done!
Dutchess had fun helping with the cow rotation!! We definitely don’t like to waste rubber !! Lol 😂. Thanks Eric great video 🙋♀️
Eric, thank you for the video. I am healing up in the hospital from back surgery and it was one of the 1st things I watched and I watched. Love the little puppy running around have a blessed day

Hey Eric you had 5 more minutes left in those old tires!
#29 looks good. Hope she works out well for you. Duchess is a hoot.
Your doing great Eric I can't believe how beautiful your cows are keep up the good work 👏
Holy cow, now that I see how deep the tread is on the new tires, you guys really wear'em down. lol
Eric your dad dog sure is growing up cute little thing. The barns look nice and cattle look good and a lot of calves . I say you need to have new tires on skid loader wow you wore them out almost to the rim. Wow real nice new tires look a lot better.
Well, glad for the cows and you. 🤗
Working on your farm looks enjoyable, especially since you get the opportunity to work with your dad.
Great channel. Been watching a long time. Thanks for your witness.
Good to little one (duchess) helping out. She will need trained to help move the cows but with her little bark I don't know if they will care or not but who care she is so cute. Love the new tires they look like the ones I use on my quad!
You got every penny's value out of those tires. Great vid as always.
Seemed like a real efficient process for rotating the animals as the move through the cycles. Any plans to have them all at one farmstead or is it possible to link up the pasture lanes?
They don't have room at the home farm and the neighbor farm is across the street so probably not unless they built a bridge.
When you are burning the horns off. Just burn fully down around the bud. There's no need to scoop out the bud. We find the heads don't hurt as much then. Plus they heal quicker

I was a truck driver. Think DOT SEE THEM. AWW. LOL
Nice operation!
When grandpa saw those old tires, I asked him if they ever recycled stuff like that in his day. He said, " Absolutely! I'd put stuff like that on the wife's car!"
Great dad joke 😂
@@thomasmccardle725 Until he actually does it😐
I was sure you were going to say that the air was showing...
@@timetoregroup2008 Nah... Like the tire guide says, " To " air" is human, to forgive devine"

Really make good use of the livestock trailer. I believe a trailer is an essential part of a livestock operation. Nice nice heifers.
Loved seeing your Dad bouncing the tires out of your truck. He looked like he was having fun
The jack Russell is getting bigger now. He'll be great for getting mice..
I believe its a she but darn tootin she'll wiplash bash some rodents.
Thats some nice tread on those tires I worked at a greenhouse years ago and we where on concrete 99 percent of the time and we had our tures retreaded with hwy truck treads worked great lasted a long time
Hi Eric and dad awesome work today new tires look good and always you and your dad and families be all safe 🇺🇸🇺🇸
Dutchess is such an integral part of the show now! Such a good girl!
That little dog is so cute

You definitely got the good out of those tires!!
Great content. Always moving cows for one reason or another. Tires look good. The tires were pressed on to the rims? The pooch is pretty brave around those cows. No fear. Stay safe.
I've never seen a drinker cleaned out.
Been farming with Dad for 20years

Hey bud what brand tires are those on the skid steer? I'd like to try a set of those out
Just love Dutchess she's a little beauty . I had 3 JRT at one time omg that was madness 😆 🤣 😂
Getting close to the 400k mark buddy! Keeper going!!!!
That little puppy has the life.
Nice new tires!!!
Excellent video. I'd give you two thumbs up if I could .... FOR ALL THE DOGGIE CAMEOS
All your cows 🐄 🐮 look so happy and healthy, I bet their milk tastes better 😂 your farm always looks Immaculately clean!
Those tires were so worn you could see the air in them. Lol
Great day on the farm. Cheers 🇨🇦

That looked easy - probably skill. 👍🏻
Nothing like a fresh set of tires!!
Like your animal husbandry Eric. Great work. Enjoyed the video
are the two heifers at 0:58 related? they have such similar spot patterns. i’m assuming it’s the same bull used on multiple cows?
Do you have any trees or shade structures in the meadow? I can still remember on my grandfathers farm how the milk cows would gather under the few large trees they had access to. How's the new barn working out, time for a review?
So glad you finnaly got new tires on the skiddie it's been bothering me when I watch your videos for awhile😂
LOVE ALL YOUR VIDEOS ERIC
1000 hours on dry concrete. That’s great wear id say
3,300 views in 20 minutes.... impressive. I enjoy the videos, keep them coming
Great video. Thanks.
I use the burning for my nigerian dwarfs. They are so small like half their damn head gets burned off. They look pretty goofy for a while. They are fine like 10 mins later.
Where do you keep the bull? Love the content.

Sweet! How are the slurry bots doing? baby got new shoes :)
Keep em coming!!!!
He said a while back mixed results.
I work in a dairy farm and have also always wondered why they like to bunch up when it’s hot
Oh my how I miss my Jack Russell Wylie.
Mini cow is so cute...:-)
@4:45 do what tom pemberton done, set off a smoke bomb(pyro) and check the air flow ;)
Nice video!
Try to put new tires for a year in the sun. So the rubber becomes a bit harder. The, won't wear out so quick then.
Your heifers have some amazing condition on them.
I love the new dog dad side kick
Eric i honestly do not like to hear about the cows who have to leave y'alls wonderful farm. It is sad to me. They are treated so well by your dad and you.
New tires certainly having a bigger diameter thus skidsteer needs to be jacked up a little more 😂🤣
Full day appreciate your daddy, A+

What brand of tires did you put on your Kubota skid loader
Great video guys. Loved it.
Look like dutchess wanted to help chase the cow down to the other barn lol..
Could you make a paddock for your bull calf to fatten them up on grain and sell them when there older for more money
Great stuff Eric👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Cows are so bizzare in the heat they make weird decisions. Same thing happens with us, 175 stall freestall barn and they all crowd on half of it during the hot days. Never makes any sense.
Can’t wait for a new upload every week
You should try a small articulated loader it will cut down on tire wear
