Glad I found this. I think I'll cut mine like yours, and put hinges towards the rear letting the cross brace hold the front. Deburr the hole and panel, and put a rubber seal on it.

Man! I just finished replacing mine in my 1989 Bronco 2 this evening and couldn't find any video to help me out until now. My timing is impeccable hahaha. Great video!

I have the pump waiting to go in as I type this. I saw therangerstation guides and was getting ready to guesstimate where to cut by looking at the pictures. Thanks for doing this and taking measurements to make my life easier

I just cut mine just up to the carpet tin. And not as wide. But your exactly right it’s the only way to do it. Thanks for the videos

I just started this same project today on my '90 that's been sitting 10 years. Disconnected the fuel lines and dropped the tank. Looks as if someone poured a gallon of dirt down the fuel fill which is also rotten.
    Parts ordered today:
    1) New Fuel Tank
    2) New Fuel Pump Assembly: Herko 357GE
    3) New Fuel Fill Neck
Just under $300 on just these parts.

I found it best to remove the four horizontal main rear bumper bolts to remove the rear bumper and then remove the tank skid plate.

I have an 86 that will turn on but after a few seconds to even up to a minute it turns off. It started once it got cold and I'm thinking it has something to do with the pumps or the pressure regulator. Do you have any thoughts? It seems to be a semi common issue but I haven't found any answers on it

Greetings from Sedona AZ. just got a 1990 little bronco ii and its in a pretty good condition, however, i am planing on replacing some interior and exterior to bring it back to life.
Is there someone to guide me to a good source of parts and aftermarket items as needed? Thank you for your help, appreciated

On the 1990 Bronco ll are there 2 fuel pumps or just the one in the tank ?

There are two. One in the tank and a second high pressure pump along the frame directly below the drivers seat

This is very cleaver and an easy access. But man I’d be lying if I said it wouldn’t hurt me to be cutting the body up lol

I'm doing my Daughter's soon and for me there's no way in hell I'd cut the floor. I'm just replacing the tank, straps, pump. Everything I can. If the clips break that's fine. Obviously there ready to be changed and at the end of their life. I'll replace the entire line to the engine if I have too.

I get it..I hadn't tried the access panel route yet and there was no videos on it so I decided to take a shot at it. I have had problems splicing the fuel lines back together without small leaks. When using fittings on those hard plastic lines there is only one Dorman that seems to work and if you bend the line sometimes they leak even though are they on "good".
