- Testing Out The World's Best High Tech Smart Mouse Trap From Germany.
To learn more about this trap check out their Website Here: www.futura-ger...
I was not paid or sponsored to make this vide but I did receive a free sample trap to test out.
Some comments here are talking about this trap being overcomplicated. I don't think it is, I think the engineering looks well done. But I feel like they took the idea 90% of the way there and didn't quite finish it. There should be a motor to automatically reset the trap and drop the killed mouse into a container. Then the complexity would be worth it.
I agree. I was about to post the same thing!
The built-in TH-cam censored mousetrap
The Mercedes-Benz of mouse traps
one that'll be trash in 6 months and you have to toss it out because it's too complex? (just like their cars hahaha)
@@muskokamike127 complexity? it's 3 light sensors and a small circuit for sending and receiving data. it will prolly work for years with no issue.
@@leTrap small circuit, cell phone or wifi transmitter, Li Po power supply, mosfets, yeah, compare to a wooden board with some wire and a spring.
All those things you mentioned? vehicles are now "electronically totaled" because of them.
Yep
Youre spot on with comment
This video causes me to think back and laugh. In the early 1970's, a colleague at the university I was at was teaching a course on logic circuit design, using these new-fangled 7400 chips that were becoming the basis for the modern world. He needed a good design question for a final exam. I suggested "How about a controller for a sophisticated mouse trap". Some of the exam submissions that he showed me were very much along the lines of this beautiful product. (The best submission was an intelligent release mechanism to drop a bomb on the rodent. He took off points for "too loud" and "not resettable".
😂😂 he needs to send us his CV
Because you use a trail cam, it looks like you're standing in the barn waiting for the trap to go off. I love every one of your videos and never miss one.
splendid! but I still prefer the one you invented!
(multiple guests)
Another lil flip!
We are being spoiled this week!
_"The more complex the plumbing, the easier it is to stop up the drain."_
If you have large warehouses, you are required by law (depending on the country and the stuff you're storing) to have mouse/rat traps, and you have to check them regularly.
Having someone go round all the traps is not a nice job. This is the main reason for complexity.
@@iamTheSnarkexactly. Thanks for adding this. Very good.
Imagine being a little mouse, just chilling and watching TH-cam videos, and stumble upon the your fathers' last moments...
Wow! No bait. The mouse just went in to hide and feel safe. Very clean.
Tunnel Design. Works every time :)
That trap is more advanced than my cat….
Most things are
Cats are so 2010 😂🐭📲
Glad EVA managed to find a job after Wall-E
Seems like a waste of all those electronics if it doesn't reset itself.
Finally, a mousetrap worthy of Rudol von Stroheim!
Doitsu no kagaku wa sekai ichi!
It might be nice if the reset bar was a bright yellow color or something to distinguish it from the kill bar. Otherwise some people might be thinking they are pulling the activation bar, but really touching the kill bar. How do you clean the body fluids off the trap if it’s got electronics in it?
I miss seeing the wild animals feed on the kill trap caught mice and rats. I'm assuming TH-cam has deemed it unacceptable to view.
That's what I was thinking too. Wow wild animals feeding on carrion is now triggering! 🤦♂
I miss it too. I hope he brings it back.
Everything triggers ThemTube … 🤡😵💀
Poor foxes, vultures ,raccoons, other mice, and possums are going hungry
Amazing traps for the technologically inclined.
Thank you ❤ And professionals that use thousands of traps who are our main customers. 😊
Was missing the little flip!
You’re putting mouse trap apps on your wife’s phone? She must love you a lot and have a whole lot of patience man.
So they know the source & contents of the next meal 😅
"Save cheese use Nara" printed on the trap. I looked up Nara lure, looks like it's not available in the US and I didn't see a price. Like Shawn, I prefer peanut butter over cheese and I bet it's as cheap and effective as Nara.
Very good. Didn’t miss that detail! We produce the Naras and they cost around 0,3-0,6$. They last 1 yr+ and smell exactly the same as peanut butter as we use the same original aromas. Just in a non mould and long lasting variation for professionals. 😊
Wunderwaffe of the mouse trap world. Mouse infestation would probably have been defeated if they insteaf invested in 50 bucket tilt traps instead of the 1 wunderwaffe trap.
I wonder if all these techie mouse traps will one day lure Shawn into one day joining the Dark Side of Technology 🤔
"Alexa, give it a little flip! "
It just needs a little sign over the entrance, work will set you free.
😂
😂😂😂
💀💀💀
❤ I missed that little flip 😢
I would say you could get a iPod touch instead of a full smart phone though I don't think those are sold anymore. Maybe get a used smart phone and just only have that as what is on the phone you don't a SIM card to run apps or connect to Wi-Fi. I still have one of my old phones for that type of thing. Just a thought. Love watching your videos.
Oh I’ve seen these a bunch of times in large cities, now I know how they work
If you want an inexpensive smart phone to run your mouse trap apps, I recommend a budget Xiaomi. Pretty regular android device and they come in as cheap as under 200$ without being slow and choppy and last you years if you don't play games on them.
Good work Crawdaddy.
Impressive as far as it goes. What it doesn't do is catch multiple rodents.
True. Not yet. It’s designed for food factories and supermarkets where there’s a quick reset by the staff every time. 😊
yay a little flip!
Thank you for not sticking your fingers in this trap to demonstrate it. I can’t stand it when traps snap on your fingers.
Looks like a very expensive snap trap. I'll stick to my old fashioned snap traps that cost $1 each.... I'll just check them in the morning.
Give it a little flip, I’ve not heard that for a long while…
... Last week, or the other day ...
Now let's try and catch a wild egg. Oh wait
King's dungeon British mouse trap.
😂
How about an old iPod touch for testing out the traps with apps?
That mouse is a paid actor 😂
Alot of hoopla for one stinking mouse.
This trap needs a way to auto remove the mouse and reset.....
But you have to remove the entire dash to replace the water pump...
Does the trap have a mode that doesn't require an app? I'm consumer-technology Luddite (because I work in cyber-security), and I will not put frivolous apps on my phone? O.K. so this one's not frivolous. But, I always look for the no-app options.
Shawn uses mousehub
@@moltderenou 🤣🤣🤣
No unfortunately it’s only working with the app / web. It’s not made for consumer but for large professional b2b. And it overdelivers all cybersecurity acts. Not like WiFi or Bluetooth. :)
When will those mice in his barn learn?
All that to get ONE mouse? Not worth the price difference versus a 50-cent wood Vickor trap.
Probably not for home use. True. Our customers are mainly large pest businesses that operate nation wide.
Do they make it in automatic? I have a TON of mice here needing to be dealt with!
What does "save cheese, use nara" mean? What's Nara?
Some mice were (not) mistreated for the making of this video😬
so who got the mouse snack??
It's missing the outro tune...
"Save cheese use Nara" What's that?
great idea but has to be reset after every kill instead of multiple kills per night
Oddly, I prefer the lowtech approach of your trap design. Simple is better.
Its a great trap for consumers. :) this ones made for large professional pest businesses and their clients.
Looks like 25% of a paper towel
I can't locate a price for this trap.
Roughly 40-60$ for the trap plus a monthly subscription for the Software 0,4-0,99$ monthly depending on quantity. Mainly aimed at large pest businesses.
Yes, BUT all that sophisticated electronic wizardry and a crappy little plastic catch to hold the kill bar! In my experience with ordinary snap-traps that have a plastic catch to hold the kill bar in place after several uses that becomes worn and you just can't set them anymore.
It’s the biggest and highest quality plastic holder we could make. It’s literally indestructible- we’ve tried hard. :)
As always Shawn, gloves Shawn gloves. Protect yourself and your family.
Notice me senpai
Hans Landa approves
4:06 That IS still a paid sponsorship, just a poorly paid one. 😉 Glad at least you disclose it, unlike many other TH-camrs. 👍 Your trap collection must be a museum marvel by now! 🤗😘
“Paid” by only the free products. Shawn is a real mouse trap legend. ❤
you maybe wanna censor the dead mouse youtube probably wont like x3
nice video thou
But it also costs like €200 and it seems to be hard to get as a normal consumer, but hey it has a mobile internet modem... edit: apparently they cost like $40-60, and not €200 that was the only price I could find 9 days ago.
40-60$ only.
Thanks. Yes it costs 40-60$ roughly and it’s possible to purchase as a consumer but in all honesty 99,9% of our customer will be larger Pest service businesses. Maybe we’ll sell the trap to consumers via Amazon. Do you think some would buy it?? 🤔
@@futuragmbh if it's not what I found it would cost (only price I could find 9 days ago), but really like $/€40-60 I think there are people wanting to buy them, especially for monitoring as well. You have your ceiling, you think you filled all gaps where they got in, but now you want to know if the mice are gone or still coming from somwhere else. Selling to consumers is a different thing then selling to businesses though. It also might need some protocol like Zigbee to use with home automation, so you don't have to pay for simcards each month. You also might consider using a (garden, pet) store that will sell them, and also deals with questions and warranty etc.
@@bastian775 absolutely agreed. The subscription is actually - on scale - potentially more low cost than zigbee or anything else. So you have any contacts in the US to pet stores or else? Would love to plan this with someone in the states. :)
@@futuragmbh Maybe in The Netherlands. bit closer.
hm, why didnt you test this one on your pet mice??? I just dont get it😂😂
Bro uses flip phone
nice
Bait?
Nara Stic - long lasting artificial bait. But with the tunnel design not necessary.

❤
Like and enjoy 👍
Greetings from Germany Lippesee 👍
Lippesee Paderborn? We are based in Borchen 5 minutes away ❤
Why don’t you have a smart phone?
Because he knows how to avoid traps
Exactly like do you just enjoy being uncultured and ignorant like do you just enjoy not taking advantage of today's abilities to their full potential and being just old and left behind
@@Bozemanjustinokay bud go back into your bunker and put on doomsday prepers
Too bad that the design should have 2, not 1, snap trap wire. If you could have 2 traps with 2 snap trap wires. Then you could catch 2 critters vs only 1.
We’ve redesigned it with a customer. You’ll be able to see it on our website soon 😊
Without automatic reset dont know :/ expected more..
Why not
❤
Dude?? Buy a phone already, ... Flip phone?? I'm surprised it still connects to today's 5G towers... lol
He should give it a little... khmmm... _flip_ 😅
Watching while in bed ?
Good on you for never having a smart phone. They are useful tools but also a huge pitfall for most people
Like it's 2024 and you're so disconnected and isolated from reality and culture that's you're using a gd flip phone dude
Who else is watching this while they at work?
Who else is reporting this serial spammer?
@@DocDoccus ok yeah
It's my day off
Retired !!!
Hard work pays big
I'd be worried about the rats chewing those wires and damaging the trap. The mouse one on the other hand looks nice and works good.
Not possible. All tech secured against rodents. :)
@@futuragmbhI heard recently about rats chewing concrete. Somehow I doubt plastic would be much of a deterrent...
@@poochiew.9302 that’s right but very rare. With our thousands of units out there it happens maybe just 2-3 times a year in a minor way that doesn’t affect this product luckily. But yes very strong chewers these rats 🐀
@@futuragmbh Glad it's rare! I do like the app telling you when you caught something. Makes it nice for traps in weird hard to reach places.
How hard to clean ,it wll be a bloody mess
In my personal experience, traps that are not cleaned seem to draw in more mice than clean ones. I don't have any data, just my anecdotal experience. (Your mileage may vary.)
Ich neicht sprechen deutch! I CANT SPEAK (OR READ) GERMAN! Lol! Do they have eine auf english website?
That is about 80% of my German!
DO THEY HAVE AN ENGLISH WEBSITE?
Germans always over complicate things. All that just for 1 mouse. I doesnt even resets.
Reset would add another 20$ and reduce battery lifetime from 3 to 1 year. Also our customers are mainly larger pest businesses that have thousands of these in use, so not rlly a consumer product. And yes we’re proud that the digitization of pest control ( a 27 bb $ industry )is driven by us 🙌🏼🐭🌎📲
I préfér traditional traps. Thé endtimes technological traps are too expensive, too complicated, and not ethical.
Ethical, why? Theyre 40-60€ only and for pest businesses a perfect tool. Not for consumers though.
Why you keep abusing those poor animals?
How does he abuse them? They are dead before they know what happened.
@@dudbike so it is fine with you what he is doing to mice every week????
