Wow. I live in Taiwan but even I haven't been to this store yet. I've saved it on my list though! Glad to see a tour before I go myself 😊 hope you had fun in Taiwan!
@@PokeNickinJapanSure thing! And I just got to the part where u said the first ever sets printed here is sun & moon, which is kind of true, but we did get the original base set in year 2000! I was opening up first edition packs (traditional Chinese) with my friends in elementary school and still have some of my pulls! That was the only set we had officially for a while, but later we randomly got Legend Maker EX too. Don't think that did very well. But then with the much more recent Sun & Moon and so on, pokemon really did a huge push with the cards and even sold booster packs and other products at convenience stores and such. Seeing the tag team packs at 7-eleven actually got me back into the hobby!
@@justkidding199 Oh thanks for the insight! I didn't know you guys got base set back then! :-) Apologies for the oversight. Cool to see you still have some of your cards. I still have my very much worn out base set Charizard, probably the only one I will ever pull myself xD
Of course always better to be able to negotiate. But people don’t always have access to card shows, for example in Japan there is none! It’s just not a thing here (which I deeply regret…)
perfect timing for that video. im flying to taiwan in about 3 weeks. i will defintely take a look at magi thanks to you. even saw some recent cards i need in my collection. the language is not important to me in that case
If you have access to Japanese cards via other way then yes (even though as I said with the alakazam example, there are some cards that are priced right). And again, being in Taiwan you’d expect foreign cards to be overpriced, right? As long as there is demand for them in that country (which there is obviously there). The same way I’d expect Japanese cards to be overpriced if I were to look them in the US or UK.
Great Video, love it as always! :)
Thanks!
Awesome video as always champ!
Thanks! :-)

Let me know if you end up picking up something there ;-)

Shop is awesome, but always get better deals at card shows.

As you said, perfect timing! :-) Glad to be of service :-)
If they do tax free, maybe there are some good deal 😁
VAT in Taiwan is only 5% so even if they do, you won’t save much xD
I’ve been to this store few days ago and realise it’s hard to get any Japanese card here - they are all overpriced!
