Grimmjow as a stance character with a Carmine style health gimmick in one stance and enhanced moves with the other as well as a completely new moveset in Awakening is crazy, the last thing I would've expected from such a meatheaded character. Gives me unbelievable faith in their ability to handle the weirder characters incoming.
I like the espada unique gimick we get so far, with Ulquiorra using is life as a meter, Nelliel and her cadena and now Grimmjow, I hope every espada will have something like this
I think it can be assumed that most espada will have cero as one of their moves, considering Ulquiorra has it as his signaure move and Nel sort of uses it. Proabbly not every espada will have it but I don't think every espada is important enough to make it into the game.
@numbron803 most of the lieutenants have a good enough moveset to be a part of the game and have fair parts to play in the story. Then there are characters like zommari, lieutenants aren't exactly side characters but they aren't fodder either, only ones I can see not making it are ones without enough feats like Unohana (I know she's a captain), Isane, Yachiru. Movesets for espada and Fracción are gonna be a lot harder to manage because with someone without a bankai or not in shikai you can just make their moves kido, for an arrancar only one of their moves can be cero

One thing I would like to see is the option to start the battle in awakening for local versus mode. I would love to play as Resereccion Grimmjow or Vasto Lorde Ichigo from the start. It doesn't have to be balanced, it would just be fun.
I love how they showed the Impulse bar and his different states, and then said he’s “making use of his accumulated impulses” which pretty much describes his aggressive and impulsive fighting style. I hope he has a move using his point blank cero. I think that’s one of his signature moves.
I’m guessing decimation is easier to activate and that’s the trade off. Either act more strategic and build up the gauge, or go all out with decimation and risk your health early in the match
this might be the most complex character of this game. Dude got 3 different states, two forms, a extra bar for first form and HP usage for second form. I feel like this guy will be kinda like nagoriyuki, great damage potential at a great risk

I think Grimmjow's states aren't stances you switch between but buffs you can stack on top of each other to quickly do some insane damage to the opponent or space out to maintain consistently high performance over a match.
So the order of characters revealed is strange. Kira getting revealed before Ikkaku and Mayuri is actually wild. I guess Nnoitra or Szayelaporro would be next for the Espada side of things if keeping the trend of notable Hueco Mundo battles with popular characters. It does leave to question why a Vizard hasn't shown up yet, figured Shinji or at least Hiyori would be revealed before the Espada started rolling out. Also, as time goes on, the lack of Orihime on the battlefield makes it seem like she will not be a playable fighter. Even looking at gameplay and these character trailers, I'm not even sure if she'd make sense as a combatant in this system. If she doesn't get a trailer before December then I think we might have to accept Orihime won't be playable.
I almost wonder if they wanted to delay the Nell and Grimmjow trailers by one week to have them line up with them re-appearing in the thousand year blood war anime.
How do you think the devs will handle Aizen? His perfect hypnosis is probably such a weird thing to implement in battle. I can't imagine it being something he only gets in Awakening mode since it's just a constant Shikai where his sword doesn't change. His Awakening will probably be him starting to use the Hogyoku and one of his specials might be Kurohitsugi. Maybe he gets an extra life through hypnosis idk.
okay i was definitely expecting a smaller reveal but i'm not gone complain about grimjaw. i guess next up there gone reveal a few more espada. i want hiyori to get revealed but i doubt she's coming any time soon especially when shinji isn't even revealed yet
So you might notice that he has no scar from Ichigo so probably an alternate skin, but when he awakens he gets the scar, also his mask fragment doesn't move at all
btw for the Neliel trailer: at the end you can see her doing a Cero, but its colored the same as Dondochakka Pesche combo Cero.. and they havent got Neliels signature move, she sucking in Cero and firing it back at the opponent stronger, what she did with Nnoitra. so figure a special would go like this: she can summon Pesche and Dondochakka, they do a combined Cero firing it at Nel, she sucks it in and direct it at the opponent. maybe it can be something that can have spiritual pressure move as a startup, and you can turn it into a special.. if you dont, they just fire the cero at the opponent directly for less damage.
I would not be surprised if bandai had some bs policy about not making moves to fast so the game is more beginner friendly and the charecters freezing mid move is a way for the devs to keep the game slightly more competitive.

I think they rushed out Grimmjow's gameplay trailer so they could capitalize on the hype of the TYBW arc. Both for Nel and Grimmjow. So the lag makes sense, the character is still under development.
It's true this game wanna be lore accurate, but it also remakes blade battlers 2 there's some abilities and bankais maybe they want to honour that fun game or copy ideas, what I notice was a special move from zaraki and tosen's bankai maybe there's others I forgot.

I really like that Nelliel and Grimmjow were synced up to their TYBW release . I also think that Mayuri is a good pick for next week since he’s in for a highlight episode. Also since they’ve already solved Renji’s Bankai, I can see Mayuri being fine with his Giant Baby now.
speaking of Izuru Kira being the current surprise prediction pick, I feel like it's a safe bet that Shūhei Hisagi is also a shoe in for base roster. since Gin Ichimaru and Kaname Tōsen are traitors of Soul Society, having those former captains' lieutenants be the playable reps of their respective squads feels like a sensical idea since they basically temporarily took over in their absence in the plot. hilariously my only flaw in this theory is that this logic implies Momo has a chance to represent Squad 5
The shadow detail thing I just find it nice because it's a bleach game and it adds to top of rest of what we see of the game. I didn't mean it as on its own as a big deal like it's going to be game of the year or anything 😂💔 .it's just cool to see bleach gets such treatment

by early 2025 i think that march is the latest date(start of spring) so about 17-18 mor characters if we get one character a week or so. I would glad to be proven wrong(if it means more characters). Some characters that are locked are Shinji(for teaching Ichigo), Aizen(duh), All espada, All captains, Some of the other vizards, the lieutenants(Kenpachi squad, Byukyuua's squad, Aizen's squad, Tonsen and Gin's squads as well. I would also think 2 forms of Aizen, captain Aizen and Hallow leader Aizen. I am ep 272 of bleach so i might be missing some people who were important to the story but i missed.
the shadow is basic game engine. all engines have that capability but to remember to set the shadow distance so it doesnt cut out if ur too far away is attention to details

Skipping one week was most likely due to them waiting for those characters to do the debut in tybw anime, especially nel since original anime got her hair color wrong, tbyw anime and rebirth of souls follow manga canon colors, so releasing nel before anime with canon color palette could have confused anime only fans
Ngl Grimmjow looks like Kenpachi but better. Zaraki has to hold input and take damage, before he throws the empowered attack. Grimmjow can pretty much increase his gauge at any point + from taking damage, and it's pretty much saying that it works into his whole moveset. And it seems that Kenpachi HAS to throw the attack, while Grimmjow can strategize the timing better.
Obviously they'll fix frame rate drop, the game isn't even in beta state by now, I think the devs are well aware of the frame rate drop rate. Give them time to cook and don't pressure them.
At least this Game should have 60 Characters maybe more or less but more than 54 just take in mind all the Combats and the one already in and you can make an idea who's missing

One thing i really appreciate on Rebirth of Souls, is the stage variety. The greatest contrast is Hueco Mundo and this new stage!
