Absolutely! What I mean by this is whilst Gatsby’s dream is entirely based around himself and his own goals, whereas the dreams of the Younger family are all based around raising and lifting up the family as a whole.
So first of all it’s important it starts out with ‘god’ as if it’s predestined to happen and nothing they can do can change it. Also the way they reduce themselves down to race (‘black man’) plus the way it finishes with dreams suggests the character is torn between a fated life of misery yet always being able to dream, and in doing so suffering, with thoughts of a better life

So to start the use of the term “baby” deliberately diminishes and infantilises them
Also the pronoun ‘your’ in ‘your heritage’ demonstrates how they’re set apart and that it’s not a shared identity.
Finally there’s a lot of terms used in a pejorative sense like ‘raggedy assed’ and ‘grass huts’, further diminishing their identity and roots.
