The header and menu text is white with transparent background to contrast with the background picture. When adding sub-menus, this causes a problem as the background of the sub-menus are white and the text is white… How do I change the sub-menu properties - both font and background (solid color or transparency)?

I would have to disagree on one plugin... Short Pixel is the best compression plugin out there. I routinely get 70 -80% compression ratios, it is automatic and can compress other locations on your website besides the Media Library. All the other plugins mentioned looked pretty great!!!
Another great tut Darrel. I do wonder how you manage to sort through 40,000+ plugins to find some of them. SSL and Smush, I know of and use, but some I've never heard of. While I have your attention (I do, hopefully) would you consider something about WP & Facebook integration? I've decided that Facebook is apparently going to be a thing -- even the Russians seem to think so -- and I'm thinking it's time to build a FB page or two or three.

Hi. Really simple ssl just destroyed my login on site...I'm gettin this error:The client and server don't support a common SSL protocol version or cipher suite. Nothing works...Any sugestions..
Good info, but the SEO circles I'm in most do not use or recommend Yoast. Also, images should be compressed before loading to website. I do a lot of image SEO and compression tools destroy any metadata you add to images.

Personal experience here: WPS Hide Login broke my website. (I think it might have had something to do with merging to https along with the theme I was using) After downloading I could not access my login page until contacting my hosting service so they could manually disable plugins. MAKE SURE you read up on the plugin or you might have a nightmare on your hands. Took me a week or two to fix.
Trying to find a plugin that will allow me dynamically select a set of images then change image's name, title and actual filename .... any suggestions?
