My sister has just been diagnosed, I am reading, watching, discovering everything I can on cancer. This I can give her and she won't freak out, I think it will help her battle.
My sister is going through this now, she is in chemo and feels awful. But between it all she has been so good, looking at things so differently. You are right don't sweat the small stuff, what we have now is most important.
This was a very motivating speech Dave! I THANK MY LUCKY STARS to be alive and well! They always say “Live each and everyday like it’s your last.” We should always try to live life to it’s fullest. My grandmother had pancreatic cancer that returned after 13 years. We were EXTREMELY blessed to have another 13 years with her. She was able to see my sister, cousin and I graduate and when we were offered our first jobs.
I realize watching this and reading the comments I am not alone, I have survived and learning to live with it, only cancer survivors will understand that.
I've had a few family memebers who've fought a batttle against Cancer and won. All of them had a different perspective. My perspective is really nothing as I haven't gone through it but I've witnessed people attach themselves to their diagnosis, like Cancer was their only friend or companion and it broke my heart... Beautiful talk. Thank you.
Thank you so much for that insightful comment. I’m so glad to hear your family members won their battles. And yes, it can be really hard to not let your cancer define you!
Sometimes we could being more knowing ourselves when something bad was happen. It is like what i feel few years ago when got autoimun disease. Since that i am being more aware with my life in every aspect and it change my perspective
I remember when mom was diagnosed, it was all gloom for weeks. Mindset is more healing than chemo I think. I lost her 12 years ago, I wish I knew this now.
This is sort of a metaphor for now, maybe covid is the collective cancer, stuck in our homes afraid we are now celebrating small things and finding closeness with those we have ignored.
My father got cancer, he was never the same man. He got prostate cancer and I think he thought he was not a man anymore. I think he gave up. He died within a year.
Doesn't fail, watching how the puddles of sweat just dried up within 48 hours was so satisfying, I used what I read about the other day. Although it actually took about 72 hours for my sweating to normalize, I went ahead and go'ogled Cynthia Yulesin’s Stop Sweating Today and I don’t have to change clothes 2 times a day.
My dad who lasted 8 years with prostate cancer changed so much and much of it for the better. He smelled the roses.
Hi Gunther. Thank you so much for watching. It sounds like your dad was a great man.
My father didnt, it was bad for him.
And I have too, and I continue to smell the roses..
Oussama Kimbo I’m glad to hear that. Life is so precious.
mine too
