Maggie and I lost a dear friend, Bernie Martin 28 years ago. Bernie was a wonderful singer, song writer, multi-instrumentalist, story teller, poet, playwright, puppeteer, actor, clown, musicologist. . .
Bernie lived in Kendal, Ontario.
This is one of my favourite Bernie Martin songs.

Thanks John. A lot of songs seem to use that lick which I call "The Mr. Bojangles Lick" and I'm sure Jerry Jeff wasn't the first to use it.
