I was just censored o facebook from a post sharing a link to the movie "Risen" on Easter Sunday!!! At first they didn't tell me why they removed my post or even what post was removed. They just removed it and told me they removed it because it "went against their policies". I assumed it was a political post. But, today I got notified that it was the post giving the link to the movie "Risen" on Easter Sunday!!
Wow, I made a rant on fb about being censored on fb and within 5 minutes they sent me an apology that they got it wrong and they put my post back on fb. I wonder if it was because I tagged every single one of my friends and said they were witnesses and I threatened to sue them....all I know is they sent me a notification that they were "wrong".
Phew, this is such a difficult discussion you delve into. First off, Im German, so my perspective is naturally different to someone born and raised in the US. Just as an example: The term 'culture war' doesn’t really exist in Germany (even though the thing itself certainly exists here as well). As someone who stands for pretty conservative values and, having studied humanities, is pretty concerend about the direction that Western culture is headed, I FULLY agree with your caveats to join alternative social meda. In my church we make a point of not taking political sides, and that’s even though German society is not nearly as polarized as American society as far as I can tell. We should stand for the Gospel - unashamedly, not taking away any of its "folly". But I believe the Gospel should be the only thing that’s controversial about us. But I guess that’s easy for me to say because I have long concluded that as a Christian, you’re going to find Christian values in almost all political parties and then some nasty, nasty stuff in the same places. To end my rant: Go listen to Gable Price and Friends’ song "You Are My Country". I think he sums it up really well. ...or Wolves at the Gate’s "Evil Are the Kings". Our allegiance is not with any power of this world, but Christ.
I did a test.. I posted a post Two.words change. Muslim. Christian FB was fine with Insulting Christians. Muslims they kicked me off for a month. So I insulted Trump.. FB was fine with that. .Biden only word changed was kicked off again. I closed my Account with FB. This guy needs to wise up.
Thanks Barry. I'll do that test too. I believe something sinister is going on. It's like Facebook is working for Satan. You remember the little girl who got kicked out of class for wearing a customised mask about Jesus. It's the same thing Facebook is doing. They've somewhat how pledged unfeigned allegiance to the Devil. Trump was pushing God's agenda for moral rectitude... Biden on the other hand is "I don't what to call him" Biden is like Satan's suit when he wants to put on flesh to visit the earth realm. There's really a satanic agenda going on. It's not about Algorithms, it's a battle against LIGHT AND DARKNESS.
The irony is not lost on me that some of the same advocates of establishing a church’s presence on TikTok will rage about what a waste of time it would be to establish the church’s presence on these other alternative social media platforms. I agree that a church should have a defined purpose of reaching the lost on any social platform, but to discount a specific medium specifically because of the political leanings of its user base nearly says as much about the political leanings of the social media team and leadership of a church as embracing it would for the same reason.
It is a high quality video, thanks for sharing a pointing out to a serious problem in our modern age! I don't know, if censorship coming off from a people and not from a Facebook directly is more scarier or not, but I guess we will figure all of the things out, together.
The only thing I post on Facebook to my page is scripture and a follow-up post on my comment on the scripture. Then, I refresh the page. I would say MORE than half of the time it DOES NOT post. No explanation. Just isn't there. My conclusion is Facebook CENSORS BIBLE verses
Thanks for this video. I like what you said about how having a presence on certain platforms can inadvertently communicate a political stance. Thanks again for tackling this topic.
Yes! This is definitely something that needs talked about. We've got an ongoing conversation about this on our discord server. (Link in the description)
Hey Caleb. Love your channel. Your production quality is self explanatory too. I wonder thought if people like Jesus, Paul and John would be censored by FB today. I think Jesus spoke about hell more than any 80's preacher.
Hey O’Neil, I don’t think there’s a problem talking about the existence of Hell, the wages of sin, the consequences of our actions, etc. It’s really HOW you talk about these things that’s important. I don’t really remember Jesus storming through the city center and telling non-believers that they’re gravely depraved, destined for torment, need to come groveling back to him, and that they’re at fault for the state of the world. Are those things true? Probably, but Jesus knew that HOW He communicated truth has an exponential impact on the reception of it. So here’s the rough checklist for every post or comment: Am I communicating truth? Is my content beneficial to the Kingdom? Is my audience likely to be receptive of my tone? I think if you’re able to answer yes to all three of these, you probably won’t have an issue with reports online.
@@Blackbar of all the 1000's of followers Jesus had from time to time, the gospels and acts report that the people from time to time made attempts to kill him because of his message. Eventually they did. If that is not censoring, I don't know what is. My point from raising this issue is this: I try never to look down on nor talk against a fellow believer for preaching the gospel. I may not agree with his/her methods or conviction, but the most I can or am required to do is to pray for that person then press on doing what I am called to do in the way I believe God wants me to do it.
4:41 "If your social media feed reads like a coked out hellfire preacher from the 1980's intent on changing peoples minds by dragging them through the dirt and blaming their sin for the state of the world and their eternal damnation... You don't just deserve to be censored on Facebook. You deserve a kick in the nads!" Preach Caleb!!!!
Thanks for sharing. However I kept records and did a test. Facebook did censor 10 of my Bible verses/Bible thoughts - yes they were polite and Jesus centered.... and Facebook did NOT censor in any way 10 other posts that were totally and completely false. I posted those as a test after I counted 10 Christian censors.
The reasons why facebook remove that is because first you just posted cringe, second it's the same thing over and over again and third posting religious and politics is bad. And we want fun stuff not that junk stuff so stop it and get some help bro!
I know this sounds silly, but your fantastic logic would be better received by those who need to hear it if you had a shirt and tie on versus leather and a beanie. It's not fair, but it's true. Your dress alone makes it difficult for me to share this otherwise great video because that alone will convince them not to listen to you. Again, sad, but true. Paul says to be all things to all people that I might save some. Seriously, consider it at least just for this content piece!

It can definitely drive a wedge. Great thoughts sir.

its happened a few too many times, time for a fireball.
So good! Thank you for this great reminder and just your all out honesty. I appreciate it
"...Acting like a 2 Peter 2:16 A" The message of the video isn't lost on me but that statement slayed me!!!! XD

Not sure if I prefer it or not either, but figuring out what's happening is a good first step!
Excellent! Thank you.
seems like, any christian clips shared on FB’s My Story, are being redirected to a different random non-christian clips.

So basically it is happening alot for more than one reason.
Phewww a topic that 100% needs to be talked about! And something we have to keep a eye on for sure!

How much did Facebook pay you for your video?

Well Said Brother
liked this shared on facebook
This is so good thanks so much for posting this video every Christian needs to hear this...
Thank you. That was most helpful and informative. Really appreciated your clear and open approach.
