And… yes logic says Anna is a wand…but logic also says since tomatoes are a fruit, ketchup is a smoothie…so…
They are so awesome, we have been thinking about how to do it ourselves. I’m going to intercept this comment before Anna gets to it because the idea of a ketchup smoothie will make her Reese’s face.
I used a shadow box. And hung the wand at the bottom.

Our first time going was my sons make a wish trip, even on that he didn't get picked in the wand ceremony, (looking back I should have set it up, i just assumed being make a wish and knowing it was it wish it would happen) we struggled so hard with the magic at first, it was so crowded we couldn't find the spots and it was crushing to be at his make a wish and things being so bad.
I went into ollivanders and explained the situation, once they realized it was his make a wish they were beyond amazing, they had someone with us in every area helping him, even when we went to hogsmeade it just felt like they were looking for him to help. It was so special and the way he was treated on my wish trip really made me a fan of universal for life.
Oh my gosh, thank you for sharing your story with us. We hope you and your family are doing okay. It’s great to hear that Universal could help you make such wonderful memories! The team members really do go above and beyond at the parks to make Universal the special place that it is.
I’m so glad you mentioned that they will fix them. I was worried about getting them for the kiddos as they are little (and clumsy). This makes it an easy decision!

They are awesome souvenirs to bring home! We honestly have a whole shelf of them at this point… it’s an addiction lol. It’s was so genuine too! There were magic spots we visited that we didn’t record and it was the same reaction! 😍
There is an entire career opportunity in making interactive devices to use your wands at home. The old mouse trap game sold millions.

I tend to like the Death Eater wands, black and sliver is a good combination. However, I ended up getting one of the Universal generic wands.
Some of the Olivander wands are sooo gorgeous! Anna got one for our wedding day!

The absolute only thing I'll thank covid for is that when i was able to go there was low crowds and they were only letting in one group at a time to Olivander's. My group was me all garbed up in wizardly fashion and my wife who videoed me turning into a sugared up child getting chosen.
Now I just hope I'll be able to go back someday, cuz covid also gave me some awesome long term stuff. Love to meet you guys someday.

My son was chosen back in 2011. He was 8 at that time and people used to call him Harry, because he actually looked like Harry Potter. 😉 He was so sure he was going to be chosen, I was afraid of the disappointment, had he not been picked.

We stay at just about any and all of the on-site resorts! We love Royal Pacific! We also really enjoy their breakfast buffet which is on the first level!

The time I got chosen, we were first in line at the door in the next group. I don't know if the team member at the door hinted to the Ollivanders worker to pick us or something? My sister and I were chosen together. The wands he gave us weren't working, so we had to swap, and then they worked. I was so giddy.

Ive always wanted to know since you guys mentioned being from Tennessee, do you guys travel from out of state to the parks or are Florida residents? (Just wondering cause I'm a Florida native and just got my first annual passs this year!)
We travel from TN! We’re hoping to change that here soon, but right now we visit about once a month.
@@ThePughTwo whatever you guys do don't move directly to orlando! There's so many beautiful towns and places up in central florida that aren't too far from the parks but just far away enough to do day trips! (I HIGHLY reccomend checking out Eustis and Mount Dora, Northwest of Orlando, I used to drive through them to the parks when I was in college and near Gainesville and it was always gorgeous, and besides Ocala National Forest there's so many unique rivers and lakes in this part of Florida to camp at/explore :D

The week after Christmas and of New Years is the busiest week of the year for Universal! You can still have a good time, but it is busy for sure!
@@ThePughTwo We are staying at hardrock so we will have express, even on the busiest week do you think we will be waiting more than 30 minutes with express?

The last time we were at Universal going through security we were told by one of the security guards not to put the interactive wands through the conveyor belt because the machine can actually damage the sensor!

I heard you can bring your own wand from home, but it has to have a rounded tip. What does that mean (like no point, or a rounded point)?
We’ve never heard about that, but it sounds right! Lol probably for safety reasons I guess!
Any tips on trying to fit the wands in the lockers?
We have never had issues with the wands! We put them diagonally in their own locker and they fit just fine!
@@ThePughTwo I see some ppl online say some wands don't fit in the lockers. Were you able to fit yours in the smaller lockers?

Can you only get the map by purchasing a wand? We have ours from Universal Hollywood that we planned on taking but now that I've seen the map.....🤔
This is a good question. We have never seen them for sale individually, so maybe?? We honestly aren’t sure!

Some of them have a select amount of wands! They do not have every wand however!

I know my daughter will probably want a wand and the whole matching outfit if they sold it lol! Do you think someone who has never seen the Harry Potter movies or read the books (of course I'm not talking about me...lol) would still enjoy the Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Universal? Okay....I am talking about me lol. I know I know...I'm ashamed lol. I do plan on watching them all before I visit but because I'm so far behind, I can't say I'm a die hard fan just yet...may take awhile for it to all soak in.
We think you can definitely enjoy it without knowing anything, however you will enjoy it 1000 times more if you at least watch the movies! My brother went the first time and knew nothing and then watched the movies and had to go back instantly!
