The room treatment. Yeesss!! like more than 30, 35 years ago I had a great room for hi-fi. Treated floor, front wall and ceiling.Back then we did not have expensive hi-fi gears, but ordinary stereo gears and systems. But friends were bringing to me their amps and speakers, because they could not believe the transformation in sound quality which one such treated room produced. The room effect is "like as" you have some decent speakers (let's say some Eleca's,or Mofi's - which I know ones) and drive them with some poor, old receiver, and then switch it with Hegel 590 or 390. The change in sound and presentation is drastical. So similar but more important and "holistic" effects have treated room on the sound of the system. So any one who spends thousands/or even 10k's of usd/eur on gear - components and and especially on cables and for room 0 is a real sound analphabet - ignorant.
And once again, thank you Morten. I'm quite flattered! 😊 May you and your channel live long and prosper! 🖖 The attention to detail Mr. Lindberg puts into his productions is simply stunning and totally confirms what I have generally seen in the 2L releases. I purchased the DXD files of "Borders" - it is simply amazing for its sonic experience alone. Any of my systems can likely just reveal a fraction of what is really there. And now I am getting interested in looking more into room treatment.
Wow, stumbled over this channel and love the topics with the new audiophile labels. Plus the emphasis on sound treatment. And now a new subscriber. Keep on the great job!
What would work best for you, is a matter of calculation looking at the target you want to reach. Thats why I adhere to the EBU standard, that defines a "corridor" that works well for the RT60 times. By knowing the "before" your absorption needs can be calculated based on the possibilities in your room. Too much is almost just as bad as too little! Knowing this, you can pick the right type of absorption. The product I ended up using for the ceiling and behind the back wall is from a company called Echofon. They list the damping coefficients on their products.
I have not featured it in full on the channel yet 🙂, but have it on the to-do list for when we dive deep into the wonders of multichannel audio! 🙂 Its a M&K S300 based system (S-300 fronts, S-300T LS/RS, S-300MP back channels and IW-150 top. 2x X12 subs. Driven by a Lyngdorf MP-60 with a NAD M-27 amp, plus a Lyngdorf SDA-2400. JVC N7 projector.
Mi no talk so good englæs. Mi no nativ 🙂. Thank you for the great but late discovery. I will issue a apology to all affected parties and their families. th-cam.com/video/lwfuUyTMpVY/w-d-xo.htmlsi=LexbiiQDgB7Xfyoi&t=55
So far the industry shows how petrified it is to have the public witness innovation far beyond the overhyped, overpriced, and supposed high end and ultra high end that would not qualify for those with a much higher level of audio discernment. This industry should be regulated by other than the apparent audio cartel
Nice show! Good blend, and it's really amicable that you refer to other channels ! Congratulations on your new living room and sound !
Thanks so much!

Can you talk about the depth and material used for treatment? 😊
Remind me what is your Dolby atmos setup you listen through?

Not Celestine Amigo but Clandestine Amigo ... (and as an extra: it's not pinnacle as in "pineapple", but as "pinprick")
