Excellent video, Mike. Thanks for sharing your custom landscape settings. They are now also my. custom landscape settings. I had never used user control settings, but with my new Z6, I set one custom setting mode for astrophotography. And I now have one set up for landscape. Keep the great content coming.

For me, U1 = general handheld shooting with aperture priority, U2 = wildlife (shutter priority, auto ISO), U3 = landscape (full manual). I do love this feature of the Nikon Z7 so you can always get back to a known point with your settings. I prefer this paradigm over the settings banks on the D850 that just remember the last setting you used in that particular bank.

Very helpful and lovely shots! One big question: can your two-second shutter delay be used in combination with 3-shot exposure bracketing? It seems not because the shutter must be held to do bracketing? Tell me it ain't so! Second less important Q: when you've saved settings in U1, will those settings mostly stay as you move over to aperture-preferred on top dial? Many thanks in advance, for responding.

Yes, it will stay. But it is no a problem at all. Just change what you wish to when back in Ap priority. Solved

Will this translate to Z6ii? I’m buying that for landscapes as I want the low light performance for Astro photography. Also even used Z7ii is just out of my price range where used 6ii I can do

Under Z6 I not found the way to set the 2 seconds delay under user saved presets. For some reason when I try to save this functionality is reseted to S when I want to use again.
