    I like the idea of longer exposure times. That alone is wort the price of updating one of my Z6s.

    Seeing the high iso shot of the bear (as well as the AF capabilities in the dragonfly shot) has changed my mind -- I have a Z6-II on order because I've been reading that the low light capabilities of this body far exceed that of the Z-7II. I shoot primarily birds and other wildlife -- not only BIF but small birds as well, and I needed high ISO capabilities to gain high shutter speed. But -- I also wanted the ability to crop in for smaller birds. I finally settled on the 6-II because of everything I read on the internet, but have now changed my mind. My question is this: a bear is not necessarily a fast moving subject (like a bird) so the shutter speed can be a lot slower. Would I still be better off with the Z-6II? Or would the Z-7II give me what I want in terms of pairing low light and high shutter speed? I need to know so I can change my order if need be.

      Hi Beverly, there’s no simple answer for this because it depends on a lot of factors; what you consider to be acceptable noise levels, how long/quickly you tend to take while editing your photos, where you plan on using the images (web-only, small prints, larger prints), etc…
      The short answer is that the Z 6II will give better high ISO quality. But if you shoot raw and take the time to properly utilize noise reduction software/algorithms, then all of the extra data found in a Z 7II file can actually help you get a final image that’s very close (some will say even better) than what the Z 6II can provide. Now this also depends on how much you’re cropping in (the more you crop in, the more NR processing will be needed or else the noise will show more prominently), and also what the use of the prints are for (lower resolution web-use will provide better quality than a very large print).
      While some photographers require the extra resolution, and are willing to spend a bit more time processing their files when shooting at very high ISO’s, others will want a file straight out of camera that doesn’t need much tweaking. I hope that helps.

    Real world reviews have shown the af tracking on the new Z’s have not improved
    As an owner of a Z7 I am disappointed Nikon have forgot about us and not give us a firmware update, they could easily have passed down at least some benefits from the 7ii’s like longer exposure etc

  • @rolandrick

    4:10, add that as firmware upgrade to Z6 and Z7. Sony has it also... 😇 And make the eye AF of 6 and 7 (the “mark ones”) focussing the pupils rather than the eye brows 😉

    I have recently purchased the nikon z6 ii, but when I use 3rd party flash like godox v1 or godox 860 ii, it doesn't support i-ttl mode, only manual and slave mode works, can you tell me what is the issue, it also doesn't support my ronin sc gimbal as the record button doesn't work on z6 ii, has nikon made a big blunder, or any update pertaining to the same

    • @parkviewphotography7529
      @parkviewphotography7529 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    How can I become a nikon ambassador?

    • @markolwick2223
      @markolwick2223 3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Being an Ambassador for any camera company isn’t about what Nikon can do for you, but what you can do for Nikon. So go produce stunning, unique images, post them on social media (tagging Nikon), write blog posts about how you created those photos using their gear, create TH-cam videos highlighting what their gear is capable of, and do that over a period of years. And then be able to produce 50 stunning images like the ones in this video in the space of two weeks with almost no notice. Then, maybe, Nikon will start to notice you and will reach out to you. Maybe.

    I’m planning to purchase my very first DSLR which is Nikon D750 along with 85mm 1.8 + 50mm 1.8 G lens. I’m wondering is it still worth to buy this camera considering 5 years old?.
    The concern I have is from D750 is - 1. Slower AF, 2. Shutter speed 1/4000 which is half the D780/Z6ii/Z5 1/8000. Are these show stopper for D750?.
    Is Nikon DSLR is going to END!!!
    Purpose of buying a camera is for taking Portraits, Still, Landscape, Bird, Product photography (learning) and of course my kids.
    It would be really great if you throw some lights on my concern to make a wise decision.... other options I have considered is Nikon D780 with one of the lens and Z6ii with the kit lens... apart from D780 and Z6ii I have been suggesting to go with D850 with the kit lens.
    Thank you and looking forward to your suggestion.

      If you have budget don't go for d750. I used it 5 years back & sold it. I bought d810.
      Few years back I replaced it with d850.
      If you are on tight budget look for d810.
      No camera will come to comparison in case of picture quality even in 2021.
