400 Small Block Chevy S10 _ Rear Mount Radiator Setup _ No Prep Duck! 🦆🤣

- Hello S10 and No Prep fans! I'm putting in my best effort to ensure that this S10 doesn't end up as a first-round duck and has the potential to go rounds this year. I've had the desire for years to implement a rear mount radiator due to its weight distribution advantages, providing added grip to the rear tires. Not only does this enhance traction, but it also tidies up the engine bay, opening up possibilities for additional activities, such as boost!

I done this exact same thing 15 years ago with a 283 in a Toyota pickup! Worked fine until everything became heat soaked and getting stuck in traffic! Hopefully your aluminum radiator setup will work a little better, wish I had a pic to share.
I found the key is good fans and shroud.
I can dig it
Hell yeah
Love your channel brother and great work on that s10. It is flying for little money.
@@TPVPRO I appreciate it, I have watched you for years
Awesome! Now why don't you build a nice 434 ci and put down in there to complete it already💥💪💪💪😱💯
Oh, and I hope to take you out 1st round in the no-prep classes (If I get my gigantic impala SS with the F2 blower running).
That's going to be one mean setup can't wait. 💪
Awesome can’t wait to see the finished product
Love your good planning and careful attention. Kuddos on the expansion tank. We can you a good engineering mind like you here where I work.
Thanks Karl! looking forward to seeing you out at the track this year and I am loving your videos brother. 💪

Looking forward to seeing this thing run!!
I think this is great! I've been thinking about doing this on my S10 a lot lately. I'm putting a BBC in mine, so I need the added room badly. Thanks for sharing!
I love BBC S10's they get down, 🚀 That's going to be a awesome build.
Damnnn Tyler ,I knew you were the 4150 tune king but I didnt know you were an engineer !!!! So badass man !!!! Gonna be SICK !!!
I would not go that far. 😁 I'm just a regular DIY guy trying my best. But I will take a kind comment when I get them. Much appreciated brother 💪
Do you have any problems overheating when the truck has been idling for a while? I’m curious about the exhaust being so close to the rad, thanks looks good though
I had the twin fans on my 502 in front overheated @low speed removed the plate just fans still overheated put back the shroud and a clutch fan problem solved , sorry but I did all that for weight and fucked within for a week 😊
Yea you have to have a shroud for sure I went through all then with the front radiator with mine finally figured out the secret sauce No room for a clutch fan. That is way I made sure I went bigger in the rear with my radiator.
Looks good, who cares what the haters say. It's your project and you do it your way, in the words of Derek from vise grip garage is it a dumb idea if it works?
nice H20 turbo my man. Lol. i need to do your setup in my 79 el co in the smugglers box
LOL ! I am centrifugal everything this year. 🤣
@@TPVPRO Your making my head spin my centrifugal guru. What horsepower level do you plan on with the boosted 400? its gonna be epic
What about the heat from the exhaust. Will that affect the cooling of the Radiator
It will be fine
I don't think so it's so far back. Most of the heat is near the collectors. But.. We will find out. 🤞
Where did you get that water pump? That is nice
