    Love these stages. Have marshalled and driven most of them too as I live in Canberra

    Australia is my favourite, absolutely kicked my ass on my first time on Dirt 2.0 but now I'm flying through corners, these videos helped a lot though, thanks man really good work.

    Great video + new sub. Australia is an awesome rally. Well it is my country's rally so I am a tad biased with my opinion.

    Could you please clearify this one for me? Couldn't understand the logic behind 2:10 where you've mentioned bumps and rebounds have to be different from each other. Actually which ones did you mean and why? Keep up the good work by the way.

      I meant: Fast and slow bump should always be different, otherwise you wouldn't need the second adjustment at all. If fast and slow bump are the same, it's just like having no fast bump setting at all.

    Excellent videos! I really like your DR2.0 guides. I hope you will do similar videos on Sweden and Wales. 👍

    Good video, although I would have thought an Australian accent would be more appropriate than whatever that was at the beginning ;)
    Agreed about it being the best location though!

      I wont share single car setups, my aim is to teach, so you can find the setup for any car on your own. After the location I plan though to start some Vehicle class Guides, certainly RWD H2 sometime too.

    Thanks for your advice, but I have one confusion : isn’t a high ride-height would generate more unpredictable weight transfers? If the goal is to reach maximum stability shouldn’t we go for a lower ride height instead?

    • @skyrex2465
      @skyrex2465  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      True, if you never leave the ground. Like on a racetrack or on tarmac. But landing a jump with low ride is not good for your chassis. IMHO in that case jump-landings have priority over a low center of gravity. But dont take my word for it, go out and try it: Everything else being equal, Australia once with high and once with low height. Though please use the stage with the huge jumps to evaluate ;)

    I wish I understood German. Having her reading out to me the turns would keep me focused instead of the englishman. She has much enthusiasm. But alas, I only understand Phil.

    Tbh i really dont like australia that much the little white sticks that are along the sides of alot of the stages in australia annoy me greatly

  • @mahela1993

    In a fiat Alpine A110, increasing the ride height makes the car way to difficult to control. The back end fishtails around in many corners causing the car to steer into the walls. (I don't know if this is consistent with car tuning theory..but this what I've experienced). So I lowered the ride height and got better control in the corners. Didn't play with the stiffness yet.. so I'm surprised to see you using high ride height . Is your car 4 wheel drive?

    • @skyrex2465
      @skyrex2465  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Try to counteract fishtailing with the anti-roll bars. I covered that in my RWD Guide.
