    Great video.
    This is my favorite location out of all of them. Fantastic high speed sections through the woods and between the trees, feels amazing. And some technical unforgiving corners to balance it out. Makes for some spectacular crashes lol

    I've found that the break bias is the thing that determines almost every other facet of setup, specially in 4WD cars. The Peugeot 206 for instance has a very loose rear, so I have to set the break bias to the front, especially for very fast locations, which means it affects what the settings should be for toe, camber, the differential settings as well as the ride height (I set the rear lower than the front, so it doesn't move as much) and stiffness of the car. Because the Citroen C4 has a center differential which affects how the car slides mid-corner and can induce under-steer as a result, I set the break bias towards the rear to compensate, but that affects all other settings again; also, I set the ride height higher for the rear, so the back can move a little more.

      The issue with rear rake is that it could compromise the suspension travel and could cause you to bottom out and then you'd lose stability. If it works for you, then I don't see any issue. Just my thoughts.

      @@retroybd2780 Interesting thoughts. I do adjust the rear suspension to be slightly softer to compensate, but perhaps you're right. I'm of course only talking about a 2mm or at the most 4mm difference in ride height, but that's quite significant as it is. I don't know if I have a driving style strictly speaking, but one thing I know for sure is I hate body role - especially on gravel, which of course you cannot avoid, because the cars are set up so much higher than on tarmac. So my primary focus becomes how do I minimize body roll while at the same time being able to absorb bumps and uneven surfaces. It's a delicate balance for sure, especially with the Peugeot 206 that is so limited differential-wise.

    So basically, git gud! And practice, practice, practice.This track has scared me more than any other so far. I just need to learn to go fast and manage that weight shift. Great video!

    U say "Listen to your co-driver" but what r your opinion on the notes? I think that a lot of Right 3 / Left 3 corners can be anything between 2-5 ( usually faster than 3 ) anf the rythm in the delivery of the notes seems of even if u do set the calls to be earlier...

    • @skyrex2465
      @skyrex2465  4 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      The Copilots volume is quite inconsistent and many of the calls are waay too late, even on my most early setting. Though CM already said, they are looking into that, I hope it will change next patch.
      For the notes itself I find that none of them are called too fast, some even too slow. But the window to take them at the called number is sometimes incredibly narrow, you really have to be on perfect line for some of them.

    Not very useful without differential settings. I did the absorbers and spring settings and my car is super stiff and takes no input, just gets carried by the road and get thrown off a first cliff

    New England end Poland setups are very alike using one for both to gain setup slot is a temporary and not elegant way. Let’s request an update for this from codemasters?!

    Pacenotes by Phil mills are somewhat odd here. Clearly you can here that they just glued pieces of pacenotes from other locations. Still better that the pacenotes of wrc8 though 😂😂😂

    Have you ever thought some ppl might not want to keep flicking back and forth between your videos... screams click bait... your setups are good but takes a lot to actually get a setup for a car as you fast forward all setups and talk about then show off all your driving clips... not really getting what the tittle suggests

    • @skyrex2465
      @skyrex2465  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      The videos are meant to teach the process of making setups.
      Not to share setups itself. You can find those online, no need to watch any video at all if that is your goal.
      I tried to explain, why I did the setup a certain way, so people can understand and adapt the process to their own driving style.

      @@skyrex2465 yes I get that they are not just a copy my setup video but you just focus on 1 area per video because you don't wont to repeat yourself so then you have to click on a different video to say adjust dampers then another video to hear what you have to say about diffs.... where you could have at least spent 1 min less driving and given a brief explanation on your actual setup for the stage not just certain areas of it... I subscribed and liked the videos was just giving some constructive criticism just incase they bring out dr 3.0 and you feel like making more
