How to drive the Nurburgring in a Charger Hellcat!

- Last time to have my friend ride with me in my Hellcat on the 'Ring so Class WAS in Session! Only had a 2 hour window today so while the Nordschleife course wasn't too crowded, the ones who WERE on the course were good & knew what they were doing..... EXCEPT the dumbass in the red Mazda. Only my 3rd time driving the Green Hell, & despite another "dirty" lap, I'm happy with a 9:34. Extremely fun to take the car almost to its limit!
UPDATE: For whatever reason this video has taken off & there seems to be a lot of love for Driver Jon (aka Jonathan Williams).... you can follow him on Instagram @ / jonathan_the_driver

Thanx again to everyone who has enjoyed watching these videos!
Fastest 11 minutes ever, I zoned in hardcore
I'd swear that was a 4 minute lap @
This comment needs to be the top comment. I locked in too and had no idea 11 minutes had gone by.
Same bro
It damn sure FELT like it was 8 min or less, lol! This track is so long & so demanding, especially if you're someone like me with only 2 laps (driving) under your belt prior to this one, that you lose all track of time simply trying to focus on the next turn. I was doing all I could just to keep up with Driver Jon's instructions, situational awareness regarding the cars around me & trying not to F#%$ UP, lol! Sorry, the "9 & 3" went by the wayside about 5 km into the lap, lol! Thanx for watching!
Bavarian MOPAR Works Hey man. I bet it was a blast. I hope to have my dream car in the next year so I can be doing the same.
Love how assertive his directions are but not overly expressive to not make the driver nervous.
Most of us who do this with him are friends in our car club, so he already knows what each of us can handle thus he gives out as much info as he thinks we can safely use. VERY lucky to have a friend like him, lol! Thanx for watching!
yup, great teacher

He seemed pretty familiar to me. Then I found another video of his. Check this out, he is a legend. th-cam.com/video/2LCqVYQOGlw/w-d-xo.html
The driver is also no amateur, he knows how to be coached :D
If you guys dont know, it takes a whole different level of skill to feel the car in the passenger seat, know the car, know the track and know what to do just by feeling the car.
That instructor is a pro.
All of that is true, plus one more thing: he has done this with numerous "knuckleheads" in our car club. You need to know & understand each individual driver's skill set, abilities, strengths & weaknesses as well as how much information they can handle and adjust your instructions accordingly. Something Driver Jon does a very good job of doing. Thanx for watching!

@Ike N Hell even the e46 that passed him up is 10-15 years old.
@Ike NI know the history well. Come on man, you know that 25 years old is a good average for the e36. Not to mention, the 96+ were tuned to understeer before they would oversteer, 95- minus cars had slightly better handling from the factory. So even if it was a later car, the point still stands.
Your cherry picking at this point, I'm not going to say the specific year because I know as an e36 m3 owner you cannot tell what year that is, unless you could get a good look at it.

@Epic Gamer Politics It’s fast in a straight line. It weights 1,000 lbs more than an m3 and that’s a lot extra weight to carry when going around turns
Hahahahahaha! This comment made my day thank you!!
Its a Drag car lmao, it was made to go fast in a straight line. Who cares about a circuit.
well duh? its a drag car lol its not made for handling and mobility. it’s meant to beat you in a straight line, which it would.
Any human on foot weighting under 300 lbs is probably faster than a hellcat arround a track
Excellent video. The instructor was absolutely amazing and as comfortable as can be.
3:57 damn you german cars 😂
@Arthur Morgan fall apart quicker than an American car? Highly unlikely lol
@Arthur Morgan Modern Porsches are quite reliable. As are BMW's now.
Well Porsches are race cars in general.
American cars last longer than European junk it’s just common sense.
@@jacobsmith1105 You need more common sense if you think a Dodge is going to outlast a German car.
That was some damn good instructions. Even I who have never gone on a track would trust him and do what he says and feel relaxed :)
Damn that supercharger sounds amazing! Also, may I add my hands are so sweaty just watching. Great job to the driver for staying in the zone!
Love how he said “stay to the right there’s a Porsche behind you”😎
clarence bell “Sigh this guys an idiot, stay left left”
He's been around the block to know who makes real cars💀💀💀
@@dymeezeey What that mean? I love Porsche I just want to know if that was a shot to dodge lmao
@@Prince_.A I don't get it either, like is that a joke to mock or praise the Porsche?
