That 6x6 is really amazing. Impressed with it's abilities. Made all of those challenges look super easy!! Traxxas has been really impressive. The TRX Sport is a great all around truck. I love mine!!
I always want to root for anything but the TRX-4 but that damn thing seems to do alright 90% of the time. Gotta give to to Traxxas, they built a good machine.

RC Review I did. That thing is sick. Don’t get me wrong, I love Traxxas. My Slash 4x4 and X-MAXX get a ton of use/abuse, I just love rooting for the underdog. BTW, great channel man. Keep up the fantastic work. :)

The Element, at least what I've HEARD, is an outstanding all-arounder. However NEEDS weight and Chassis stiffening.
The Capra and VS4-10 Pro are almost in another League! And the Capra would be more in its element in U4RC style Racing - but is actually a competent Crawler!!

Nice video guys, your quality Is increasing every Video! The Vanquish performs nice but My next crawler will be the TRX4 because I live in Germany and there are no Vanquish dealers in our country. The TRX4 also does quite well and you can get a lot of Traxxas or tuning parts in Germany too.
Would you recommend buying the TRX4 Lift Kit to increase the droop, like you did in a older video?
Congrats to vanquish. That 6x6 though. I recently purchased a white one and it’s beast. I named it The Bully. Also happy with the TRX4 Blazer. Just picked up some samix brass for it.
The Bully, love it. It is shocking how good it is and hope this video is able to showcase it.
Good video with spot-on commentary. As for the studio, you've got to have 'RC Review' logo somewhere in view. Recommend back lighting or under shelf lighting to better showcase the rigs on the shelf behind you. Keep 'em coming!

I stand behind the VS4-10 Pro 100% !! And the hobby wing AXE 540 2300 KV combo System, it is my favorite every day rig now. Running with the KLR/M's my favorite tire .

I added a TRX4 Sport this week to my fleet based on your love of that vehicle. Now it looks like its time to save for the Vanquish. The new VS4-Ultra is my next vehicle. Only wish it had room for a 550 motor.

Awesome video as always guys! However, I think the Gen 8 Axe should be in there. I've been crawling with my friends lately and I've been out crawling every other crawler they have. I have only put Vanquish metal beadlock rims on it too!
The Gen 8 Axe can't do half these lines unfortunately, unless the body is changed. We tried!

Thanks a lot for the video. I have long wanted to build a 1:1 like the Capra as we do a lot of rock crawling in jeeps etc. I naturally figured the Capra would be the next truck I buy, it looks awesome, like it should do everything with ease and surely destroy the other trucks!

I’ve got Vanquish Currie axles on my SCX10 Rubicon, they are amazing. I probably have more $$ in it than the Vanquish costs, but started the build when the SCX 10 was new.
I plan to upgrade my enduro with the VS4-10 chassis kit.. I'm hoping that will reduce some of the bounce.. .hopefully the best of both worlds.. vanquish performance and Enduro builder's kit cost. :) Very helpful!!

But not on the first four. I really didn't expect the Trx4 to perform so good. I just wish they went with a different body. It's ugly and not what most 6x6s look like. I think I'll build my own tow truck or wrecker out of it. It's a great base to start with 😎👍😁 thanks

Francis, Four-screen videos was kewl way to compare the four vehicles. Don't see any way to add another vehicle to display five screens effectively.
Interesting that those four shootout vehicles match exactly what are currently in my personal stable of crawlers.
Love the Vanquish VS4-10 Pro for its stability on technical climbs with a relatively heavy body. Wish Vanquish would make a lighter 1-piece replacement body for the performance oriented. Can't wait to get a DIG on it.
Greatly appreciate my greatly modified Enduro Kit crawler. With custom placed battery and Vanquish bumpers, it is a strong overall contender. It also plays well in the water. Would certainly like to see a DIG unit offered for it.
The Capra Kit buggy with a few mods is a most capable sidehiller and does get up some challenging V-shaped creases better than the truck-bodied vehicles where being able to view all four tires is helpful. The DIG unit is great for ultra tight turns and downhilling steep descents.
And the TRX4 Sport Kit with mods has been a brute of a crawler that has endured a year of crawling with only one portal pinion having failed after a 20-25 foot fall on its very first outing...My fault! LOL.
Wife has an SCX10 II which will be upgraded with a Vanquish chassis in the near future. Hoping to bring it closer to the level of the Enduro and TRX4 with that change.

Ahh, it didn't make the cut as the Axe or the Scout II can only complete half of the challenges. Just too top heavy and it's not easy to change the body with those velcro mounts and heavy fenders.
We might give it a go though. SCX10 II too.
I was impressed with my OG Gen8 and am REALLY impressed with my Axe edition. I will say though, I get it... The Gen8s take a handful of small upgrades and mods to get them where they should be out of the box - and competing with something like an RTR SCX10 II. IMO, anyway.
@@PaulRawlins2 Might have something to do with sponsorship because everyone else on TH-cam cant say enough about them especially the axe gen 8 all brushless, all metal gears, best controller by a mile etc
@@ConditionZero76 I love my OG Gen8 and my Axe Edition, don't get me wrong. I'm a fan, for sure. BUT... the front end is garbage, on both models (still the same on the Axe edition). Drag link to steering link setup (poor strength and geometry), pan hard bar setup, on both ends (again, poor strength and geometry - the axle-side mount is the first thing to strip/come loose. It needs to be connected to the C Hub or reinforced greatly. The chassis-side mount is too high to for the drag link to match it's angle. The poor servo positioning plays a role in this as well. All of this leads to a weak front end with bump steer and an off-center front axle at normal ride height.) Now, outside of those few things, I don't think anyone can hold a candle to the Gen8 in the RTR Crawler market at the moment. I don't look at the front end issues on the Gen8 as a deal breaker, just a pain in the ass that I know I'm going to have to fix. Hopefully Redcat keeps up the good work and continues to make improvements.
@@PaulRawlins2 I hear you & I agree with you especially on the Axe gen 8 at $5 hun dollars, but most if not all of these crawlers have there downfall one way or the other. , plus with a small piece of metal 2 holes drilled in it bent in the correct configuration takes care of a good 85 % of that problem your speaking on. it stinks tho we should even have to deal with that for $500 plus dollars, but then again the TRX-4 $$$ (Great Rig) but has its dowside with a $145 dollar alone Top Heavy body, they all have something here or there unless you buy a vanquish for $1,500.00 plus & call it a day LOL...... I just think its weird that they never compare the axe to anything like if it's junk!!

I have an Enduro right now...I think the TRX4 sport will be my next build. I'd like a VS410, it's just a little out of my price range.
I think the Capra should be removed and the scx10ii 2000 jeep cherokee kit put in its place, more comparable, also why not run some 2.2 crawlers like the bomber,gmade,and others?Really appreciate your effort for the hobby !
We could add the SCX10 II, modded. The Capra though is very relevant these days and the best representative of the brand.
Can we get a review or build of the Gmade GS02 BOM or Komodo Double Cab? This seemed to be the sleeper of 2019, but haven't seen a review by you. Love the new studio.

Awesome! Followed the whole series. Enjoyed your final thoughts and reviews. In the middle of an Element RC build at the moment. Trx6 is my next truck. Love my Trx4 sport, my setup is very close to yours on it. Will probably pickup a Vanquish(assuming something better does not come along before I save up for it😂). Honestly they are all fun, they all have their own personality and it’s just a great hobby!

If you take the pen springs out of the capra and use a heavier spring in the rear it will do a lot better.
I’m disappointed that the Gen8 was not a contestant in this shoot out! I’d say if there was no place for a 5th rig, then the Gen8 has more right to be in this shootout over the Capra? The Capra is not even the same class of vehicle then the rest. This shootout was more like a “One of these things is not like the other” bit on ‘Sesame Street’. LOL!!!!! Sorry but that’s what I think. Keep up the great videos! Always fun to watch. 👍👌
Understood about the Capra. You'll see in the performance video that it fit right in. It didn't stand out, didn't even win. And that's an important message for our audience.
The Gen8 only completed half of these challenges so it would have been a distant 5th place. And it's not easy to change that velcro'd body into a higher performance one.
Really? Wow! I own a TRX4 (G500) & Gen8 and I have never not been able to go anywhere with the Gen8 that the TRX could go. In fact I’m now selling my TRX cause I have since bought an ‘Axe edition’ that has proven to be better at crawling than my TRX in low gear & not much slower than the TRX in high gear.
I also went for a crawl with a friend who just got a ‘Sendero Enduro’ and my axe out performed it on multiple places along the trail! So I’m very surprised to hear it was so out performed that it didn’t make it in your shootout?, but okay! Thank you for the response. 😁

The Vanquish and the Traxxas perform the best since they are so planted and rigid. However, downhill is deeply affected by motor selection so we didn't show that as much. Brushless, sensored motors like the Hobbywing Axe or Holmes Puller Pro descend so well since they have controlled drag brag at idle or at low throttle.
The TRX-6 descends the best since it will not flip over forward due to length.
We’re the tests performed by multiple drivers... seemed like driving technique / skill changed throughout. Honestly didn’t expect such poor performance out of Element.
No disrespect to VS4-10 pro kit but takes the fun out of the hobby if no upgrades are needed right out of the box....

One driver only. Some of the driving may be different because some cars had to do many attempts and we have to go faster after many unsuccessful attempts.

I love the simultan 4 picture versus video!!Winner vanquish! But how would crawl the Ultra these obstacles? I ordered a capra next to test what can this crawl on my extreme sidehill obstacles.
Really thought the TRX4 would win. They are all pretty amazing imo. Studio looks great. It’s nice the rc category of crawling has so many options when it comes to kits and parts that it doesn’t get old. I only have an SCX24 and I’m hooked. However I think eventually this channel will venture into other ground vehicles, not that crawling isn’t interesting. I think it’s just a matter of time before rally, f1, touring, short course, etc are covered. Would be awesome to see the same objectivity, quality, attention to detail, etc applied to other types of vehicles. But even if it doesn’t happen I’ll be here watching :). Gonna order some SCX24 upgrades tonight using your links.

We considered adding it but it could only complete half the challenges. A far 5th place unless the body and body mounting is changed.

Good video, the only thing I would do next time is to use the same tires on all the challengers since tires play such a huge factor for climbing or racing. Nice vid regardless!👍🏽 BTW, your new shop looks much better than your previous staging area.
The good news is all the testing was done identical tires. Pro line hyrax was used. We just had different tires on the studio talk.

I gotta ask why the Enduro wasn't bragged on as much. To me it looked like it more than kept up... I mean especially against machines double its price. Stick the flex for a little upgrade and call it how it is.
