I completed Abeka 4th and 5th grade as a child.
Although my son has been homeschooled from K-3 this will be our first Abeka year (4th grade) with our son.
We're doing the whole kit with DVD option.
It will be very exciting to see if he likes it as much as I did when I was a child.
I will update this comment at the end of our school year with his thoughts and mine.
We've been using Abeka for 5 years and are so happy and excited to share it with others. Our church has a homeschool ministry that helps 14 families. This next school year my two 6th grade boys and I are looking forward to trying the videos instead of doing parent-led. This will give me comfort knowing they are learning everything Abeka has to offer, and I will have the time to teach my 2nd grader in person.
I just ordered 3rd 4th and 12th grades for my daughters, My son graduated with abeka 2 years ago. We have been using this school for 5 years now, We just love it so much! Thank God we have been able to afford it. I highly recommend it, public schools are not good anymore. God Bless all the wonderful Abeka stuff. And thanks to the founders who had the vision

As a recent former teacher in a traditional Christian school, teaching was a joy using the Abeka curriculum. They provide a strong and competitive foundation for student. We just enrolled from 3 yrs of Liberty University Academy online to Abeka Academy because of cost don't get me wrong ,we love Liberty University but due to set back in hours because of COVID 19 we were forced to search a cost friendly school . Over a thousand five hundred dollar difference. As I searched many christian online schooling in both accredited and cost , I found that Abeka is number one in both areas . I can't wait to start my child at this academy . I am thinking of recording from start to finish to help out other families who have trouble looking for the best at home education for their children .

We've been studying for 3 years with abeka and have been an amazing blessing, praise The Lord for this institution. these year, my two little kids will pause their school while we wait for new economic resources. I trust Jesus will provide what we need to continue this amazing program.

We used and loved A Beka Academy with our oldest son, but have only begun the homeschooling journey with our youngest. We tried online public, and doing our own thing, but after I showed my, now 8th grade son, the sample videos, he said this is definitely what he wants. He has stated that this is the first time he felt excited to start school. He just ran off with his big brother's old science book for 8th grade. I'm so thrilled to come back to A Beka. It is the best curriculum I have tried.
My wife and I just enrolled our daughter for our first year of Abeka Academy. We are very nervous but very excited at the same time. This video was so good and helped me feel more confident in our decision!
After much consideration and prayer I just enrolled my son. I am excited for my son to have an education that testifies to the glory of God!

This is our 5th year with Abeka Academy, all our 3 daughters started from K4. What an amazing program, our kids love it and so we are. Our 4th daughter is still 2 year old and she was watching K4 with her sister sometimes and guess what she can already count numbers, Wow we were very surprised. Other 2 older daughters who just finished 2nd Grade accredited program in May, can't wait when they can start 3rd. We proud to call Abeka school for our children and we love everything about it 100%. This video is so well done! I worked both at the real life academy, then at the ABA office, then graded from home for them, then sent my kids to the real-life academy. Loved every aspect of it and love the many ladies I know in this video.

I feel so blessed to be starting my daughter with this curriculum for 3rd grade! We are overseas on a military assignment and will be moving mid school year so we get to keep her schooling steady while we move countries and get settled back in the USA. What a blessing that will be. Thank you for the excellence you put into all of your curriculum.
I truly love Abeka Academy! The curriculum is effective & the foundation is solid. I was homeschooled using this curriculum and I have also used it every year of my son’s academic journey so far! As a person of color, I just wish that after all these years, there was SOME degree of diversity in the faculty and staff, that reflect the multitude of people they serve. Well, God is still working miracles!! 🙌🏾
Same thoughts about the lack of diversity. It's 2020, I would hope the organization will have some level of diversity in race.

I just enrolled my grandson too. This is our first year- very exited for the new journey. God is my motivation and answer.
This will be my 2nd year homeschooling my 5-year-old but 1st year with Abeka. I had a baby earlier this year and was praying for a way to continue homeschooling my son while also caring for a new baby and working full-time. My husband and I are so thankful to the Lord that there is quality video instruction available for us in this season and I’m really encouraged by the reviews and comments about Abeka. We started Abeka last year 4th grade. Just enrolled in Abeka 5th accredited. The courses were wonderful. I can really see a difference in my child's interest in learning and self confidence. The school has been most pleasant and caring. All our questions were answered promptly. Everyone has been helpful and we appreciate them. The 4th grade streaming teachers taught beautifully! hi I enrolled my son in the k4 program. I had the option to do cursive or manuscript. I chose manuscript since he doesn't really know how to write each letter. Now I'm thinking, should i have done the cursive?
Do you do independent study or accredited?
Melissa VanSteenwyk 🤔? Well I just bought the k4 kit it was $350 and in the enrollment part it didn’t ask me wether I was going to be credited or not ? I need to go find out. I thought it didn’t ask because it’s only k4

I did A Beka videos from 3rd grade on, and I absolutely loved school. My mom had to force me to stop doing school every day because I didn’t want to stop. 😂 I got to meet some of my video teachers this year, and it was amazing! All the teachers are great, but Mr. Smith by far is the best.

I’ve been with Abeka since my daughter started her 9th grade and she graduated December 2019!! My son had been with Abeka since the 6th grade and I love it!!
We just finished with my daughter her very first accredited year in ABA and we feel more than blessed! This path has been amazing and she learn to become auto-disciplined and independent, this is a plus we as parents get from this experience. We are sure our daughter will be in ABA until high school. Just enrolled my grandchildren. This is our first year homeschooling. I have always heard good things about Abeka and it is comes highly recommended by friends. I am not a Christian myself but I think it will be good for my grandchildren to learn about Christian beliefs and that way they can choose their own religious worldviews.
This is our 1st year as a homeschool family...just enrolled our 4th grader and 10th grader...excited and very nervous!!...

Just placed our order today. This will be our fist year homeschooling with Abeka. We have a rising 2nd (girl), 4th (boy), and 6th (boy) grader coming up in the Fall. I heard so much great information about the Abeka curriculum through a friend at church. So we wanted to to try it out for our children. Our children don't enjoy learning from us. We wanted a curriculum that would take the pressure and stress off us. Hopefully we don't have to look no further. We can't wait to receive our shipment.

Just enrolled. We've used Abeka in our private schools from K-5. This year, I will homeschool and I am so happy that the accredited option is available to help me stay organized and timely with his work for 6th grade. This has relieved much stress.

This will be our third year homeschooling with Abeka my kids will be in 2nd grade this year and we’ve always loved our school. I love that they send you their books and lesson plan. And get to have a teacher teaching them. I’ve loved watching the way my kids learn. My son has Tourette’s syndrome and this works so well for our family.

So excited we are! I taught K5 with Abeka curriculum for several years at my church's private school. I had my son in 2016 and have been teaching him the same methods at home. This year will be our 1st enrollment in the Abeka Academy. He already likes his teacher from the video clips. This will be a great year!

We are enrolling in your high school academy for ninth grade. We have homeschooled since kindergarten. She has always had a teacher for help. I’m praying whenever she needs assistance especially with math she can get it. We are very excited to start our four years!😊

First year using Abeka, came from Luoa but cost was getting a little too much and frustrating for my son as well as me. Abeka looks promising and I pray his 2nd grade school years goes a lot better

We are so excited to start. I chose the online streaming, are video lessons not streamable until the start date we choose?
We've been with the Abeka Accredited program for the past 3 years and love it. The only thing lacking is customer service. It can take them usually at least a week to respond by email and good luck if you call in needing help. I've been on hold EVERY time for AT LEAST 40 minutes, not exaggerating, before frustratingly hanging up.
Uh oh! I hope this is not the normal! I was banking on their statement that they are always ready to help in case my student has a problem with any of their coursework.
@@julieanderson443 Actually, that's not normal. Our experience (especially with challenging administrative questions) is MUCH WORSE.
The curriculum is teriffic.

I am so excited about enrolling my 6 year old son for his second year in Abeka Academy! He completed K4 with Mrs. Turner 🤗 and he grasped every new concept easily! She was phenomenal! I can’t wait to enroll my 3 year old next year!

I hope they would provide mentoring for accredited students and update their videos, so the classes are more engaging and dynamic. My son often would comment that the styles of teachers are very traditional, lacking on creativity to promote more interest in students that are just watching videos.

I saw that the Bible course work requires a King James Version would the New King James Version work as well because my family has always used it due to our learning issues. My husband has ADHD and dyslexic. I have ADD and my daughter is also ADHD/ADD combo with anxiety and don't quiet understand the old English talking from the original King James?
I used abeka since 4th grade. If you are doing the videos it really depends on what grade they are going in. 4th and up they should have it at least in my experience.
