It's alternative melancholic rock, so yes there are some highs and the lows hit hard but like any other band they make music and music makes people feel things I don't think it's very accurate to call them a rollercoaster of emotions more than most bands, music just makes us feel all kinds of feelings and Radiohead for alot of people gives off very strong feelings
Thom is fine with Creep. It's Johnny that we'd need to worry about. Have you seen that clip where Thom spontaneously decided the band was going to play Creep during their concert? Johnny's eyes portended murder . . .
all i need is the best!! the whole song kind of builds something up and then everything falls apart and everything is cascading in a very beautiful manner
Personally I think the more melancholic songs like; creep, everything in it's right place, pyramid song, 2 + 2 = 5, exit music, all I need, knives out, you and whose army?, etc. While in the moment sure they make the feelings I've pushed away/bottled up come forth, and I feel worse than I would have if I didn't "put myself through it", but afterwards I definitely feel like a bit of the heavy load was finally lifted off my shoulders. Not nearly enough to impact my terrible mental state but.. it helps.
@@Classic_Tomfoolery bro I'm 14 so I might not understand but I personally think it's mid. Let me know why is sound good tho would be interested to hear
I really love seeing "Decks Dark" recognized. It's easily my favorite song on A Moon Shaped Pool, and it's not talked about nearly as much as a lot of other Radiohead songs.
That was the album my old friend recommended me that got me into Radiohead. First thing they told me was the album would mentally mess me up, that's how I knew it would be promising
@@aautaari Sorry if I offended you. I didn't wanted to say that those are bad songs because there are really good. I would recommend you to listen to how to disappear completely and true love waits because they are even sadder
BRUH I'm gonna be burnt alive for this, but...could we consider them "The Beatles" of our time? Not for the legacy (maybe not yet), but the accurate way to experiment with music.
The Beatles?? I can’t see any comparison. They were ahead of their time but … I guess I really don’t know bc I born until just after Pink Floyd became huge. Speaking of, I could see a possible comparison with Pink Floyd.
"no surprises" sounds like your walking down a long dark allyway with flickering lights, you find a little shop, the shopkeeper gives you a lantern as you walk into the deep mist, the more you walk, the more you see a short figure, you approach it more and more, you find out that it's your best friend who has been waiting to see you again for months, you give them a huge hug and start shredding tears.
Cant listen to anything offa Kid A without getting more emotional than usual with radiohead. One of my good friends died a few months ago. Guy was also my roommate and lemme tell ya, this house feels alot emptier now. He was a huge radiohead fan and even got to see em a few years ago. Said that "Thom spoke alienese at me!" Shine on man, hope yr at a set that never ends in the great beyond.
😂😂😂❤🎉 this is the best one I've seen!!! I absolutely love the Squidward and rain ones , v impressed that they actually pulled from a lot of different bangerz across the yard

no surprises today

@@cycada2405 Yeah, I never really thought about it that way. Well said.
I think it's my favorite off that album too, I love the little jam towards the end of it

The no surprises one with Pedro killed me
Let down is so underrated
So true king

Not putting karma police here is a crime.
