I have to note how I'm so glad you included My Burden is Light. A lot of people would have simply let Aacro get his comeuppance. But Jesus didn't offer his grace only to those we find forgiveable. Even the Aacro's can receive grace.

I’ve always imagined of a Christian musical but never found one who could encompass the full nature of God in different music genres. But then yours came and I don’t think there’s a word in the English literature that could explain the marvel of the musical. I’ve never felt such passion in a musical as in this 🙌🏾❤️❤️

I found this musical by accident, but I LOVE it so much I listen to it daily on Spotify I brought and read the book and now have just watched the studio performance here and I continue to be blown away at the beauty and the intelligence put into this creation, the small details of Ashra's/Zanna Nicole's necklaces through out the story. the way my jaw dropped during The One Who Was There... i was like genuinely so sad when she was losing faith and i love the full circle that it came to in that song. I came from the taylor Swift video on your brother's channel and I was so happy to realize this is a Christian production. THE OCEAN SAGA AND NOW THIS! My ears have listened to the sound of angels. This has to be one of my favorite musicals ever. The storytelling and music is just phenomenal! ❤ I found you through dancing princesses and my goodness everyone is so talented
I don't think i have ever written a long comment on a TH-cam video but here goes . I have watched this video over 10 times ( not exaggerating) and i have also listened to it from start to finish like 20 times on train rides to work and back .Took me a while to comment cause i just realised ( after watching it again) that i have been in the position of EVERY SINGLE CHARACTER. I have been Ashra, Aacro, Mathias and even Zyrah ( taken advantage of) and it is so beautiful to see it. I am even a fan of musical but this one got to me really hard. My top 3 songs here ( hard to choose , believe me ): 1) Sinners Prayer ( cause i am also in a foreign land and sometimes i feel so alone so for some reason i really related to the song), 2) The one who was there ( cause sometimes in my loneliness i always feel so alone , like "God are you even watching all these happening to me", kind of like Job. And every time he said "I am the one who was there...." in this musical, i felt it , every single time. It is a beautiful song and I made me tear up 3) Are you willing pt 2 ( where do i even start with this one? The way Mathias scream Jesus' name, the way Jesus says "I am willing be clean" and like it hits me alot because i take it as a cleansing from my sins as well, teared up also . Honourable mentions are " My burden is light" (This was the part i related to Aacro the most).and "Call me Zyrah" ( cause of the MATHIAS harmony part and the name Zyra sounds like a very pretty name, not sure the origins) . I really wanna thank you for this . Cause i feel it was meant for me to keep remembering me that God is always there, that He is willing and that His burden is light. God bles you abundantly, Anna.

Anna, I've watched/listened to this musical at least 6 times now. And I just want to say that I adore everything about it. The lyrics, the singers, the emotion, the storyline - it's all beautiful and a great illustration of the redemption and forgiveness that is found in our Savior. You bet I will watch this another 6+ more times. Thank you for making this musical!
I didn’t think I was going to love this but it’s perfect. This is SO beautifully human. When we see how absolutely broken humans are Jesus is all the more beautiful.
This is so beautiful, I cried multiple times. Ashra is such a complex and beautiful character. And Jesus words on the songs were so touching. I just had a hard time liking Matias, really, who leaves a woman - TWICE - and one of those times pregnant and shunned by her family? like, what chances in life did he think she would have? I just don’t see like he needed to forgive her at all, that was all on God. Anyway I loved to see the happy ending, Ashra deserved the love, happiness and tranquility only God can give. A beautiful work of art for these times
I don’t even have the words. I am so disappointed I waited so long to see His Story before sadly the showing I was going to see was cancelled. You can bet your bottom dollar I will be the FIRST to book tickets to see Of Ashes when it goes to stage. Oh my heavens, God has touched this symphony.
That was a Masterpiece it deals with so many complex issues like growing up hypocritical religion, and what that can do to you and your views, it deals with the abuse mindset, and most importantly it shows the true nature of God in the middle of it. This needs to be a movie
Haven’t listened to the whole thing yet, but “Beautiful death” was instantly one of my favs based off the IG account, the whole song is GORGEOUS, that guitar at the end with the high note is genuinely magical

I think "The One Who Was There" was the moment I realized everything and it clicked that this was about the woman we always read about in scripture (I watched/heard without reading the description or novel). This song broke me in the most beautiful way. The whole story was a masterpiece. I only pray God blesses me with the experience to one day be a part of something so beautiful and healing ♥🙏 Thank you for responding to God's call and bringing His light into the world, looking forward to reading the novel when I receive it!

Jesus' constant, "Come to Me" brings me tears every time. My daughter is reading the book (we got it for her for Christmas) and I'm sure we'll pass it around the family when she finishes it! The connection to His Story is brilliant!

Look at the rain fall showed up on my spotify release radar and I ended up adding every single song for Of Ashes and listening to it again it here. This is an insane project and the music is so beautiful. The one who was there had me tearing up.

Oh man this is stunning! I haven’t experienced a story this good in sooo long. The climax starting when they run into each other on the street is absolutely gut wrenching. And the conclusion is marvelous. So so good.
This is absolutely amazing! The music speaks to my soul and i was on the verge of tears many times until Mathias was cured, and then i lost it! So, so beautiful rendition.
There is something so beautiful about the way the songs Jesus sang were written..almost exactly how I picture Jesus to be and God bless the whole cast and writers.. this was truly and is a masterpiece that can be used to inspire hope,faith, forgiveness and love in many ❤
My goodness….. this is incredible and it had me crying. Ashra’s story reminded me of my own testimony that God saved me from before I met my husband. There was so much of how the character felt that tugged at my heart because it felt that way before, even at the end when when Ashra tells her husband how unworthy she felt. While the moons awake is so romantic...
I don't think i have ever written a long comment on a TH-cam video but here goes . I have watched this video over 10 times ( not exaggerating) and i have also listened to it from start to finish like 20 times on train rides to work and back .Took me a while to comment cause i just realised ( after watching it again) that i have been in the position of EVERY SINGLE CHARACTER. I have been Ashra, Aacro, Mathias and even Zyrah ( taken advantage of) and it is so beautiful to see it. I am even a fan of musical but this one got to me really hard.
My top 3 songs here ( hard to choose , believe me ):
1) Sinners Prayer ( cause i am also in a foreign land and sometimes i feel so alone so for some reason i really related to the song),
2) The one who was there ( cause sometimes in my loneliness i always feel so alone , like "God are you even watching all these happening to me", kind of like Job. And every time he said "I am the one who was there...." in this musical, i felt it , every single time. It is a beautiful song and I made me tear up
3) Are you willing pt 2 ( where do i even start with this one? The way Mathias scream Jesus' name, the way Jesus says "I am willing be clean" and like it hits me alot because i take it as a cleansing from my sins as well, teared up also .
Honourable mentions are " My burden is light" (This was the part i related to Aacro the most).and "Call me Zyrah" ( cause of the MATHIAS harmony part and the name Zyra sounds like a very pretty name, not sure the origins) .
I really wanna thank you for this . Cause i feel it was meant for me to keep remembering me that God is always there, that He is willing and that His burden is light. God bles you abundantly, Anna.

Anna, I've watched/listened to this musical at least 6 times now. And I just want to say that I adore everything about it. The lyrics, the singers, the emotion, the storyline - it's all beautiful and a great illustration of the redemption and forgiveness that is found in our Savior. This is so beautiful, I cried multiple times. Ashra is such a complex and beautiful character. And Jesus words on the songs were so touching. I just had a hard time liking Matias, really, who leaves a woman - TWICE - and one of those times pregnant and shunned by her family? like, what chances in life did he think she would have? I just don’t see like he needed to forgive her at all, that was all on God. Anyway I loved to see the happy ending, Ashra deserved the love, happiness and tranquility only God can give. A beautiful work of art for these times
I agree. Matthias kinda sucks for that. But the book goes more in depth about the complexity for the situation.
When people have the trauma seeing their mother die, they don’t act normal. It’s an accurate depiction of trauma behavior.

That was a Masterpiece it deals with so many complex issues like growing up hypocritical religion, and what that can do to you and your views, it deals with the abuse mindset, and most importantly it shows the true nature of God in the middle of it. This needs to be a movie

I think "The One Who Was There" was the moment I realized everything and it clicked that this was about the woman we always read about in scripture (I watched/heard without reading the description or novel). This song broke me in the most beautiful way. The whole story was a masterpiece. I only pray God blesses me with the experience to one day be a part of something so beautiful and healing ♥🙏 Thank you for responding to God's call and bringing His light into the world, looking forward to reading the novel when I receive it!

My goodness….. this is incredible and it had me crying. Ashra’s story reminded me of my own testimony that God saved me from before I met my husband. There was so much of how the character felt that tugged at my heart because it felt that way before, even at the end when when Ashra tells her husband how unworthy she felt.
