Lived at RAF Wethersfield from 1984-1990 and would visit the pond to feed the ducks with my daughter when I'd come to the newsagents once a week to pick up my magazines. Wonderful memories. Thank you so much for taking me back there! Can't believe it's been 31 years.
Haha that’s amazing! Thanks for the watch Lauren. Pop over to finchingfield when you make it to the U.K and grab a pizza at the Lion, you’ll be welcomed with love and a tasty English beer 🤟🏼
On a sunny Sunday that village is packed with motorbikes , its a great place to visit. The Tour de france came through in 2014 and the atmosphere in the natural bowl of the green was awesome
Love your vlogs. I’ve been watching all the local ones - I live up the road in Gosfield, but was born in Chelmsford. Have shared your videos with my family who have enjoyed them all! Can’t wait to see where you head next!
Me too. I'm currently binge watching all your episodes. Especially as they are so relevant to me as I either lived there, went to school there, cycled round etc...
Fab !! We need a part 2, with the church on the hill, sections of which were built in the 1100's. And go inside as well, some below the floor burials dated in the 1500's. And the post office around the corner from the pond. Cheers n chips !!
I can attest to the popularity with cyclists as I once cycled with the Bishop's Stortford cycling club using the cafe in Finchingfield as our mid point. There was a large group of motorcyclists and in the warmer months coachloads of tourists visit. It is a beautiful spot.

Ahh you’re welcome Valarie! Time flies…Sounds like it’s time for another visit 😀 👌🏼
My cousin lives almost next door to Jamie Oliver. It’s a beautiful village with warm, friendly people & picturesque views. Gorgeous.
Haven't been there since the 90's, gotta go back soon see how much it's changed.

Lived at RAF Weathersfield 50 years ago. Doesn't look like it has changed at all. Planning a visit back next year from the U S.
That’s Incredible Terry. I know this area had key airfields stemming from ww2. Wishing you a fantastic trip back here next year 👌🏼
Nice one!
Cheers Lorraine 👊🏼
I lived in shalford just up the road
