- Welcome to the second part of my jaunt around Jaywick. This time at the 'Never Say Die' pub to interview some charismatic Irish Travellers.
Join me as I learn about the culture and some modern day changes in the Traveller community...and of course there's always the Traveller banter to entertain you!
Cheers

We have a lot of travelers near us, one night in the pub, there were a group at the bar, long time ago now, the two pound coin had just come out, one of the guys at the bar dropped a two pound coin, i noticed it, i picked it up and gave it back to him, he was shocked, he told hes mates, me and my wife didnt pay for a drink all night, they were so taken back by my honesty, they all baught us drinks.
I was in a pub few years back in Spain with the family.
My daughter got up and done an Irish ☘️ dance.
No lie 20/30 lined up and gave her mother a shit load of money.
Never seen anything like it I was blown away.

Glad you enjoyed it mark, appreciate the comment brother 👊🏼

@@ADayintheUK good video
‘Only god can judge’ what a stupid backwards uneducated thing to say
David Joyce - what an absolute fantastic down to earth Bloke. He’s confident, with a very approachable personality. I bet everyone respects him he’s like a magnet for good vibes . 😎
Agreed. I'd buy the man a pint and the JD he's asking for!
The man in the red united jersey is Davey Quinnmcdonagh he's father is
Thomas Quinn Mcdonagh from Dundalk 💯 fact 👍🏼
@@davidkelly7559 thanx for replying . I don’t know who that bloke is . But in my Books David seems a decent Bloke . It’s a shame the U.K doesn’t have people like Him in Par Liar ment . Then the U.K might be a better place to live . That’s my opinion.

This fella gives the travellers a good look imo he explained the tradition well and said it the way it is and like he admitted he can’t fight for shit 👍👊🙏
Yeah agreed...only a stupid man would say he could when he couldn't fight ..that way madness and superior opponents come fast on its heels..most Irish travellers will say I'm not a fighter if they aren't because it's madness to Mach themselves to those who can...this man isn't stupid❤
Smart craic. Id love to buy em all a full on session.....drinks are on me ..be smart ...right lads .funny as muck
Old fashioned values men bring home the money while the women keep the home and raise the kids. What's wrong with that fair division of labour 😅
Glad to see you posting again 🙌🏼
Travellers in any community are loyal friends for life when you make that connections / but If you disrespect them in any way then you'll have loyal enemies for life , I'd rather have them on my side anyday. Wishing them all a great new year 2024 everywhere. 👌
I can't believe how honest David Joyce was being with you here, it may well have been the booze loosening the tongue somewhat. But what a great, very honest talk that was.
I’ve dealt with some travellers from Kent many years ago, they’re probably the best and most honest set I’ve ever done business with & I’m from the other end of the country. There was plenty of opportunity for things to go tits up due to our locations….not once did it happen.
I really enjoyed this interview, be great to get him back on the channel!
I've a lot of respect for the traveller families because they are down to earth..be straight with them and it's all about respect 😎👍
Wow, great video. Lovely to see Jaywick in HD. I lived there when I was a small child. Roads look better!
Love the traveller fellow , he has a great personality, funny guy
This video was brilliant. What great personalities
Fantastic interview with real authentic characters
Cheers Matey 👌🏼
ya real characters until you meet one and you realise they're backwards scumbags who target vulnerable people.
@devanman7920 what a vile and judgemental thing to say, do you personally know all traveller's?

@@ADayintheUK loved it, they were a cool bunch of crazies, staying overnight in the haunted place would be hilarious, I agree with that woman that it’s kids , they would be running out if it wasn’t
Hes so friendly and respectful, wow he really changed my perspective. His wife is lucky to have him ❤️
Hey what a great bunch of REAL people really enjoyed the chat and the contents , ya gotta make a few more like this bro 👍👍👍😂

Interesting discussion interviewer guy relaxed asking good questions. Travellers relaxed it's a good down to earth interview I enjoyed watching.

What a great jolly bunch of blokes! 🍺😊👍
I always said you have to respect travellers at least they game for a fist fight win or lose they will shake your hand and buy you a drink instead of using tools , I’ve all the respect in the world for people like that
Great interview. Nice to see into their world for a minute.
Thanks very much, glad you enjoyed it 👊🏼
These two guys are so down to earth. I love the fact that the ladies in the video are constantly laughing and clearly having a good time. I should imagine having a drink with these fellas would be a scream.

Thanks very much bud
Grew up with travelers worked with travelers ...and I'm best friends with many a traveling man 😉 great people great craic , always up for the giggle and just live life to it's best .... Best people you'll ever come across
'ITS best' not 'IT'S best'. 'IT'S is short for 'IT IS'. This isn't rocket science. It's basic English that a reasonably intelligent and educated child should grasp with ease.

Just read "King Of The Gypsies" by and about Bartley Gorman who was a traveller and a fighter. Good book.

Ah so you’re a local girl. Welcome lovely, cheers for the sub, glad you enjoyed the vid 🤙
7 minutes in and this is one of the most insightful interviews I've seen in years 👌🏽
Glad you enjoyed it, I loved interviewing these guys
Quality 😂 I never knew the fury’s were from Galway. I’m as English as they come but my great grandparents were Tinkers which are a traveller group from Galway too. The Wards. I want to know more about my heritage as I know hardly anything. He mentioned about being a traveler in the heart ? I totally understand what he means. Strangely when ever we going on a boating holiday or caravan weekend something inside me feels good and free so I think it’s that what he’s on about. 👏🏼👏🏼 love this this and what a terrific group funny as fudge 😉
I met a girl years ago in a Disco in Galway. We hit it off very well, so well in fact that she invited me back to her place for a "coffee". Anyhow, after following her directions to her house, we pulled up outside a halting site in Mervue. I turned to her and said "Hold on, I thought you said you were a Nurse ? " "No" she said, I told you "that I was a Ward Sister".
@@creekyknee 😂😂😂 at least when the boys got hold of you she could nurse ya wounds 😂😂
Travellers are cool , always having fun😊😊😊
Nice to see Travellers shown in real life and how sound they can be ... Up Mullingar also
met plenty of them over the years, no issues, usually a good laugh, also note the cheeky deal in the background 😂
Everybody's different. Had plenty of laughing and joking with travelling people myself. Went to Appleby horse fair many times and always enjoyed the day. Never stayed into the evening as I know the drink can sour the good natured fun.
What a lovely group of people the men are so funny 🥰💙🙏💝 xxx
Nice people very real, respect.
The fellow in the red bears an remarkable resemblance to Errol Flynn, Fine Figure of a Man!
If only all travellers were like this, I know a few Joyce's and they all alright too
My new favorite chanel :)
Thanks, really enjoying your Essex journeys. 🙏💫 Travellers stopped on a local green, about 8 vehicles / caravans, the kids played football, camping chairs were out, washing lines were attached to the trees. Next day they were gone - absolutely no trace left.
Lovely story mate. I always find that if you show interest you gain respect. Thanks for the watch and support
They took all the trees ? Jeez that's a new one.
Irish travellers are fantastic people. Top notch video.

You couldn’t have better people than Irish travellers for your neighbours and friends, some of my closest friends are travellers, all of my neighbours from the travelling community are the most decent people, and, kindest, helpful, caring people I’m Blessed to have in my life, my childhood friend is a travelling lady with the biggest heart of pure gold.

great insightful interview
Thanks for the watch, glad you enjoyed it
just found your channel mate i love it
Welcome aboard Ryan!
Wonderful community
Really enjoyed this!
Awesome, thank you!
My personal experience, grew around some scottish traveler descendants and they were brand new. But 2 years ago in turkey. Bumped into a large group of both travellers and there friends, from leeds. 4 out the 9 were brand new, the other 5 were after a fight from anyone and laid on thick how boisterous they were. Shame because the 4 were some craic and were good company. One of the high tempered ones licked my forehead 😂😂😂
What a sound set of blokes dont believe everthing u hear ... Decent people good insight
I live in Essex and have done plenty of business with travellers. Honest men keep there word. And make money alongside us
great people
Jesus i could sit with them all day great people

Brilliant.
Im half traveller on my dads side my great grandmother and grandmother could read tea leaves and tarrot cards tell fortunes and do curses but no crystal balls

This is great, you approached them on the level, you were open, honest, genuine and humorous with them, and they responded to you in exactly the same way. Behind all the shouting and bravado, they are warm hearted people for sure.

Great interview the bit about his 82 yr old father 😂....my fathers the same 78 not a traveller and wont back down .....from a different era

Not all Joyce's are Travellers. My family were farmers from Claremorris, Co. Mayo. Good video.

Love the irish accent, 😊😊

A credit to the traveling community ! Good on you Boys ! Massive Respect ! 👍🙏🥊🏴
Fella in flat cap - ‘There’s not a man safe in the pub once I’ve had a few pints’
Also travellers - ‘they ban us from pubs for nothing, it’s prejudice’
Did that fella in the yellow shirt used to live in Newcastle? Looks very familiar. Looks like a lad that used to get in the Tanners Arms, and would go to the Warehouse parties and that over Byker.

superb
Irish Pride 🍀☘️
Loved this. I love Jaywick too. Sick of people running this town down. It's a haven for lots of folk. Having Irish blood though, i disagree with him calling dukkering or fortune telling bollocks. Lots of Irish and gypsy clans have powers and the second sight. It runs through our veins, the ancient Celtic ways. It's funny how some traveller men view spiritual things. I've great respect for the warrior in them. I know that theyre devout catholics too. You have to admire the way they're quick witted and mercurial. You get on in life living off quick wits. 😂😅🔮🔮really love your channel too. Good luck with it . 💜
