    I used the Andrew James Halogen Oven for at least eight years if not longer, now I have a small Airfryer cuz most of the time alone! One thing I must say!! The Halogen Oven can have the 💡 changed!! I doubt that this can be done at the newish style’s!! And the working method is definitely the same, so yesss, I will still use my Andrew 😊

      Great, I still use both my Air Fryer and my Halogen.

    Thank you for a response. I did know I just wanted it clarifying for new users which may have been confused. Good first video though....cheers😊

    I cook 6 largish chicken thighs in 25 to 30 mins on high in my halogen, underside up turning to cook the top untill brown. V juicy, i use a friends airfryer on holiday in her static home and it's also good but I like to see what's cooking in the halogen. My halogen oven is an Andrew James which has a hinged lid with a lock when it opened so that it doesn't fall down.

      Thanks for the comment, I still use my Halogen oven a lot even though I have reviewed a lot of air fryers, I also like the fact that you can see inside and it is larger than most air fryers, it also cooks as good, they used to be very popular but now it seems most people prefer air fryers.

    they are both air fryers, only the heating source is different, an element or a halogen bulb

    Hi, looks interesting, but I feel you should have had a thermometer, when cooked it would have read about 84 degrees and that’s cooked…..Brian air fryer expert……..😊😊

    Don’t be confused with the different names , a halogen oven is in fact an air fryer it does exactly the same job , I’ve got both but I much prefer the halogen oven because you can see what’s going on with your cooking and the results are identical to the air fryer, in fact the halogen oven should be called halogen air fryer.

      I agree, I really enjoy cooking in my halogen oven, but they seem to have gone out of fashion now and seem difficult to buy, It looks like air fryers have taken over.

      Does it cook roasties? I need another air fryer for my big Christmas dinner (I usually cook for 16) and last year I had three of them which wasn’t enough. My gas range is shite so I use air fryers instead!

      @@SKMusic1985 ..Yes it’s an oven /air fryer, you can roast potatoes or frozen chips, I’ve roasted a small chicken in it , But cooking for that many would have to be done in stages .

    So what I have discovered using an Air Fryer after using an Halogen Air Fryer... An Halogen Air Fryer cooks food in half the time of an Air Fryer... a Halogen Air Fryer is super fast. So I think a Halogen is better and I will be getting a second one... as I got a spare space for a second one lol

    • @its-review-time

      Thanks for the comment 👍, In my experience they cook very similar times, It depends on which air fryer and which halogen you are using,
      The halogen uses less power so it is cheaper to run, but if you are cooking on multiple levels the halogen cooks much quicker on the top level so you have to rotate the food more often, the air fryer cooks more evenly

      I’ve got both air fryer and halogen cooker ( which is in fact an air fryer) but I much prefer the halogen cooker because you can see exactly how the cooking is going without having to keep opening the drawer. To be honest I never use the air fryer now because the halogen cooker is much easier to air fry with . But I see that Tower air fryer has a window but most of them don’t.

      I’ve just added an Air Fryer to my kitchen gadgets. Had 3 Halogen ovens in 6 years, 3rd one is nearly 3 yrs old. Main reason for choosing the AF is the dangers of Halogens which I hadn’t realised before.

    Am thinking 180 heat for Halogen, But Air Fryer needs 200 heat... from what I discovered for myself lol

    what was the make of the halogen oven & size

    • @its-review-time
      @its-review-time  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      It's 15l and the make is cookworks, which is an Argos brand, I don't think you can buy this one anymore because its an older model, but argos have another cookworks, which they are calling an halogen air fryer.

    • @its-review-time
      @its-review-time  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi the halogen oven I used isn't too bad and probably a bit quieter than than the air fryer, I have had this air fryer for about 2 years I think and its been perfect, my last one was also a cookworks halogen and that lasted about 4 years, I estimate I used it about 120 times, in the four year period.

    Halogen chicken look more juicy than air fryer.

    • @its-review-time
      @its-review-time  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes possibly, but it did need a bit more cooking in the halogen so it may have dried out a bit once it was fully cooked

    I think you mean 180 degrees not 180 watts.
