So, royal watchers anticipate Monday's funeral for Queen Elizabeth II will be a blend of grand spectacle and personal grief not seen in generations. September 8, 2022 I was sitting in my 8th period study hall. I am a senior in high school. I sat down and put my headphones to listen to music, and I overhear my friend say something about the Queen. I asked, “What did you say?”. Then he asked, “Weren’t you just in the U.K.?” I replied, “Yeah, in July.” My friend; “Well you’re lucky you went when you did?” Me: “Why, what happened?”
My friend; “The Queen just died.” Me: “What? No she didn’t!” My friend: “Look online, man, it happened about an hour ago!”
And so I did just that. I open my school issued laptop, open Google Chrome, and searched “Queen Elizabeth II”. The first thing that pops up is CNN with an article “Queen Elizabeth II, dead at 96.”
It was devastating to read of her passing, even here in the US. She was a highly respectable woman, with a spunky sense of humor, and overall, one of the world’s greatest leaders. May her legacy, and memory live on forever. Long live Queen Elizabeth II. Rest in peace, your majesty.

People these days don't know how to behave. Back during George VI funeral people stopped their cars and got out to take part in the 2 minute silence. That included bus drivers who stopped where they were and got out to stand and pay respect.

@@davidthomas-ot4cl It might surprise you that the Royal family do like to have as normal life as possible and generally don’t have servants doing everything for them. Prince William and his family recently moved into a very normal 4 bedroom house and have no servants living with them and Prince Edward and his wife refused HRH titles for their children and made it clear to them that they will have to work for a living in fact their daughter had a summer job working at a local gardening store. Princess Anne also refused any titles for her children Peter and Zara who both have had ordinary jobs. Princess Anne once said her children weren’t royal it just happens their grandmother is the Queen

For Ms Elizabeth Alexandra Mary Windsor as a person, I have such great admiration. I don’t know why. Is it karma? I liked the way she moved her hand. I liked how strong she remained in her position. So much happened in her long life, and through it all, she stood like a mountain.
But as a queen? I don’t know. If she had apologized for the genocides, looting, robbery, enslavement, and all the other atrocities committed by the British, around the globe, then I may have liked her as a queen too. But that won’t happen now.

Yes, some people seem to think that it's OK to clap when they saw The Queen's hearse go by when it was taking her to Buckingham Palace and at Diana's funeral .Also throw flowers at Diana's hearse which ended up with loads on the bonnet so the driver had his view restricted. When Charles and Camilla arrived back at Buckingham Palace the other day there was cheering and clapping and you could see the dismay on his face .I hope it is quiet today.

as God's Uni - Verse flowed in Consciousness wiping out all die - verse - ity.

Then all widened in Love's engrossing fullness when He kissed me,

Britain, especially England, is a class-based nation, meaning that the path is made easier for the upper crust while the middle class and poor struggle to move forward. They receive privilege and reward for doing next to nothing, with the British Royal Family at the head of the class system.
Yes, it was sad that the Queen passed, and even sadder that her twonk son takes over commander-in-chief of the monarchy. But, let’s face it, the British Royal Family does zilch for anybody but themselves, while media, and many of the public, romance the idea of the monarchy lifestyle of living in stately castles, moving around in luxurious vehicles, having regal banquets, waving to the public and smiling, and getting wardrobe additions by the hour... all the while being fawned over by a staff of thousands who do everything for them. The notion they serve the people is utter nonsense. They serve themselves and care not for the ‘commoners,’ as the Queen referred to her British subjects. Commoners meaning people of no real standing and value to their authority.

What we had here in the UK, is every channel almost had this tripe on. They removed all TV commercials, instead what we had was 10 minute blank increments with nothing, no noise, no ads nothing. This was their replacement for TV ads as a mark of respect for the Queen apparently, but had complete disrespect for the millions in the UK who were forced, YES forced to watch it, it was not by choice, every channel either had it on or there were these huge long periods of blank in "respect of the Queen", yeah whatever.
It was extremely intrusive, it shows the narcissism of the British Royal Family and a complete disregard for peoples personal freedom and space.
This was terrible, I am fed up with hearing about it and I am fed up with the ignorance of those who support this inflated and overrated family. I am astonished by it, I do not get it or understand it.
