The planets were definitely in line when these people found each other, and shared their bliss with us for our enjoyment of their talent. They are very simply "EAR CANDY", and wouldn't you know they would also be eye candy. I still don't think Kirstie gets enough credit for her contribution. Her voice is truly angelic, and her ability to be such a chameleon, changing from one look to another, makes her priceless. She is an angel. I have been following them since the Sing Off, and I feel like an old friend. I'm so proud of what they do, and happy that they touch you the same way.

I feel like there was some sort of divine intervention to drop three of them into the same town, all the same age, to get it all started, and then Kevin's first celloboxing video went viral at the exact moment they were looking for a beatboxer to join them for The Sing Off. Avi and Matt both arrived in the exact moment they each were needed, too, (and Matt just happened to go to an acapella master class with PTX as the teachers years before he ever auditioned for his role in the band? Scott chose this one, because he felt like PTX had done all the Christmas songs, and since it has snow in the lyrics, he figured it would fit nicely. Want your mind blown even more??? Kevin was pre-med before the core of Pentatonix discovered him. Kevin is a genius!!! He speaks something like 700 different languages (ha!), but REALLY...he can do anything he wants. I love him to pieces!!! This is one of my favorite pieces of theirs, for sure.

I’m so happy you were finally able to enjoy this video!!! Kevin is so incredibly talented. It’s mind blowing. I watched this the day it came out, just hours before going to see them perform live and I had heard the audio but this video is necessary.
First of all, best of luck with your IVF procedures! Hoping you have success with that. I think I mentioned this earlier, but Geoff Castellucci has a video on his solo channel about the process he and his wife Kathy went through for their son William - it might be encouraging to watch if you haven't. The only thing I wish about this song is that Kirstie had a little more solo time (she's my favorite, so of course I want to hear more of her!). In this song, she stays mostly in the background, but she's singing almost constantly - it kind of reminds me of early Pentatonix songs, where she tended to stay in harmony rather than in the lead or solo. But speaking of Kirstie's (short) solo - watch Kevin at the end of it, you can see him reach out with his foot to his gear on the floor (that everyone is stepping over the cords for, LOL!) and switch his electric cello over to an electric guitar sound for his cello solo.
I also thought there was too little Kirstie solo time but I love that they get to switch up their solo’s in all their songs/covers. All of them are just so talented! 👏🏻

I have reacted to the Yule log video. Just a few days after I recorded that reaction, they uploaded the music video for it! But I have seen it and listened to that song all through Christmas. It was amazing! 👏🏻
If you watch closely right after Scott first comes in so loud both Kirstie and Mitch remove their earpieces in their right ears because he was too loud.
I don't think Mitch and Kirstie removed their earpieces, but they both certainly did something with them. Those In-Ear Monitors (IEMs) can have a variety of channels to hear different feeds, so they may have been switching to hear each other since they both go into paired harmony while Scott has the (admittedly rather loud!) lead. On live performances you'll see Kirstie fiddling with her IEM in almost every song, but it's fairly rare to see Mitch mess with his.

The electric cello is made by Yamaha. It allows him to do many things that Beyonce, his acoustic cello, can't do with effects. Plus the acoustic has been with him for years. I'm sure it would break his heart if she was damaged.
I hope your IVF journey is successful. My daughter had 5 embryo's. One failed the second one took. Please Please check your Folic Acid levels. I don;t want to say what happened to my Grandson that we lost. But I can't stress enough that you have your folic acid levels checked especially with IVF. I am praying for you. And what a great reaction, I felt the same way you did when you heard them. And Kevin omg so talented as the rest are also.

The cello is a sort of skeletonized electric cello. Probably made from mostly carbon fiber composite.
