Why isn't anyone bringing in a conex box full of 94-95 jxi 413 Sammy's instead of the 660ci turbo 410? Or get a box full from India with the LWB 413? Or LWB 4dr short boxes and the other varieties of the fuel injected one's?

But if it's something stupid like your above comment unlike the above people who have owned 1-2 Sammy's! I have been working on Suzuki's since they were still in the crates and being put together! I have personally owned well over 125 documented titled Samurai's and have built Everything from a fuel injected tough truck with Swift GT parts and turning 8k RPM and it was in the actual Monster Jam series and I was that division champion for 6 years and never lost a race in the last 4years of racing it. I have also built countless lifted Samurai's for off road or mud boggs with tires big enough for crushing car's! Built a few with stock based engines that will run in the 15s in the 1\4 mile and drive home getting hi 40 miles to the gallon! No Jeep's are going to do That and be street legal!! I actually have it when guys put Toyota axles and cast iron bottom end engines or be diesels in\on a Samurai! Because of the weight balance of the Samurai it actually ruins the weight bias from a very close 52Front\48Rear to if you put a set of Toyota axles on them it makes the balance 68ft-32Rear literally making the rear axle traction Worthless! And don't get me wrong Toyota and Suzuki\Subaru are all made by Fuji heavy industry and the Sammy Axles are just smaller sized yoga axles from that same era but the Samurai was actually built before the Toyota fourunner and solid Axle truck! In 82-84. But I have actually built\Driven\Raced just about every kind of SUZUKI even the Swift's and the SX4 in spectator rainy and rally events and I have the videos of it ALL so no I'm not just saying this without the stuff to back it up! Nor do I drive like these damn FTL hammer heads that is trying to make a 30+ year old Stock Samurai look like crap when it's like trying to compare you're great grandfather against a teenager running the 600yard Sprint's! Please just grow a pair, air down, 4-hi 1st, give it the beans and we'll see you at the top. I get that they don't want to spend on mods and that's fine ~ Dropping 10 psi, removing the sway bar, chopping the hook off the exhaust pipe, cutting the hinges to make the doors removable, junking that dead weight pushbar, and removing the mud flaps before they get torn off... all free upgrades. These vids are practically click-bait and yet here I am, admitting I watched the whole thing and looking forward to criticizing the next one :-)

I don't know why the F they didn't buy a set of 30" BFG AT Tires? 15psi in the rear and 18 in the front and like you said remove the 2-14mm bolts in the front to loosen up the sway bar and drive it reasonablely and it will go anywhere that they have been showing us far better than just hammering it at street pressure and trying to bash the rockers and everything else underneath it! Not to mention how much better the ride is with the bigger Tires! But if they wanted to make it a fair fight then they should do a Spoa lift and use the same size tires as the Jeep size tires! Then there would be some serious surprises! But someone with a brain would have to be driving!

    • @billyputnam6892

@@yhiissuchbs you know if they really don't want to spend much more money on it these guys could show there true bighead nature on social media and do some creative swapping. Get some inexpensive used 28-30" Tires and remove the sway bar. Get a carb bowl venturie from highway53 Suzuki for $9 and it would definitely help the carb situation out. Change out the fluids in the driveline components to a lightweight Synthetic or blended oils. If they don't want to buy a spool or clicker locker weld it up in the rear. And a huge thing to help with the ride is a set of 82dodge ramcharger rear red rider shocks and lube up the spring's and the eyelets which could be over tightened and binding up which can really make it bounce house ride. And the rest of the stuff you said about the bumpers and doors and put a couple of diamond plate aluminum side rails to protect the rockers. But we know that with just a couple of things done on the cheap would pay big dividends! But then again I almost think that they are trying to pick up were consumer reports ended and they're trying to find more faults in a 30+ year old dog and keep kicking it while it's down! Cruelty to the little guy!

even less extreme mods, I run a 2" lift, ~28" GG AT3 tyres (205/75r15), and not much stops it. Issue with running bigger than ~215/75r15 on a SJ is the gearing really begins to suffer, you can get reduction gears but adds so much to the cost, as does lifting the newer coil sprung one by >2" as you really need castor corrected radial arms, extended brake lines, shock relocators & some other mods.

The first time I rode in a Samurai and saw it climb, I bought one! They are incredible. When that one wore out I bought another. My JX 13 had a manual dif lock in the front. I never knew they made them without. The ride is incredibly rough but boy can they handle off road terrain! That rocky incline would have been a piece of cake for my JX 13 in low range, locked FWD, with 2 or 3 people in it. Extra weight transformed it from a splendid climber into an exceptional climber, unrivaled. I have towed out a bogged down Toyota 4Runner, which could not make it up a steep muddy hillside road during a tropical down pour in Grenada, to accolades from my buddies at the top. They are still prizes here in Grenada. What’s more, the engine and everything else was user serviceable. I repaired almost everything myself. Samurai!. @RKmndo 4 ปีที่แล้ว

Yeah. Jeep started going bigger on rims with the TJ Rubi, which seemed stupid to me. 15s fit over the brakes just fine, the brakes worked just fine for up to 35s, and tires for 15s were around $100ea for a 30-31" mudder.
Today, even a tiny Renegade or Compass is riding on at least 16s from the factory. Tires for 16s and larger are stupid expensive, and have little sidewall.
People swap 15s onto their JKs for a reason...or several. Wranglers aren't supposed to handle like sportscars.

100% as a Samurai owner. The nerdy commentary and lack of offroad common sense such as airing down tires and knowing how to hold the proper line instead off pointing it at the obstacle and just hitting the gas. I have a 91 EFi with a simple 2” OME spring lift and 30”MT’s and would have been right along side the overstuffed dime-a-dozen wrangler. And then his annoying commentary while getting a little bounced around its like STFU and deal with it nerd! Cringeworthy.

The standard vehicle was a 4WD Ford F150/250 truck, but to get access to those really impenetrable places where the Fords feared to tread, the goto alternative was a bone-stock Suzuki Samurai. Enough with the Jeep shilling - I'm off to check Craigslist for a Samurai.

@@MichaelArtelle Actually Suzuki didn't fold. They're still around selling cars around the world, they only stopped selling in North America. They make and sell the Jimny (replaced the Samurai) all around the world including Europe and Australia. Car companies that used to sell in the US in the past then stopped have come back (Fiat, Maserati, Alfa Romero) so it is conceivable that Suzuki can start selling here again if there's enough of a demand.
