I have always love listening to the sounds of the strings played by someone, who, I never knew. But the sounds always struck me like a sledge hammer and it was welcomed! I finally knew a name, Reggie Young and now whenever I hear a " Reggie Lick" I smile and thank God and Reggie for the memories that his music evoked, at the best and worst of times! Love me some Reggie Young and pray I get to meet him one day, heaven would be just that place!!
@@mikesrecords0 Yes indeed. When Reggie says the guitar is now in the Musicians Hall of Fame, they emailed me a photo of the label, the actual guitar used on Elvis' recording. Nice classical guitar. Sometimes they don't have to be costly but just sound great such as Jerry Reed's 1967 Baldwin 801. The nicest classicals as far as I'm concerned have cedar solid tops, just for that resonant sound.

I would sure love a copy of the label photo you have.

The guitar used on Elvis' In the Ghetto, played here by Reggie Young, is a Federico Garcia, 1967 model.
Beautiful tone on that instrument. I am lucky to own a 1969 Garcia.
