I never complained about Desmond, to me he was a great character young, strong and sometimes even funny, a great protagonist. I loved playing as him in those modern days missions. Too bad that Ubisoft listened to those "fans" that dare to hate him, too bad :(
Warden L Desmond was really great while he lasted, he should never have been killed off and though it might make sense to make him a messiah, but i think ubisoft should take steps to get the modern day back up and running instead of leaning on CGI cut scenes.

I totally agree. I mean, Ezio's saga was fantastic and I will never forget all the times I had with him. But really, they could drop the point of the games entirely now. I love AC for the modern day and I just want to see what happens to these characters.

The modern day was always my favorite segment of AC, not nessesseraly because of all the Desmond and Juno crap, I was just really fascinated by the whole, modern day day espionage, corporate sabotage, and political-economic conspiracy type shit. (The Assassin-Templar War essentially) I think that the only thing that kept my going back in Highschool was me day dreaming and putting myself in the shoes of a modern day assassin and just wondering what life was like for them, how they operate, fund there operations, is it possible to have a normal life but at the same time being an assassin in secret. I suppose that's why I was much more satisfied with the game, wish I coulda played all this shit as opposed to just watching it lol
Minoos I mean, its reversible. You have all these pieces of eden which are, with our standards at least, magical. In fact, the shroud could be used to "revive" Desmond.( I have revive in quotation marks because it could just build someone with Desmond's looks, memories and personalities but he's not Desmond). There was also a file in AC unity where Juno states that Desmond will stay trapped with her, implying his consciousness is not dead. I could keep stating ways in which they could revive Desmond for days , but at the end of the day, it all depends on how long UBISOFT plans to continue taking our money.
It could’ve worked out had they actually went somewhere with it but it feels like they just abandoned it. They caved to the casuals that whines about Desmond and now we have these animus sessions with no relevance whatsoever
So theoretically, they could use the Shroud to bring back Desmond and revive the franchise! Predictions: Next game, Juno will be brought to life in a physical body thanks to the Shroud. Near the end of the game, the Assassins steal the Shroud from her and place it on Desmond's dead body. Finally, in the game after that one, we are back and playing as Desmond in the modern world, where Aiden from Watch Dogs also makes an appearance! xD
Tysm! I played Assassin's Creed Syndicate as my first Assassin's Creed, and naturally I didn't understand these cutscenes at all. Now I've caught up with all the previous titles and it's great that I can watch all the cutscenes to like this to keep up with the present day story before moving on to Origins.

+Assassin's Creed Univers Your Tribute Video is very nice, please more like that one. Something to show Ubisoft that they don't have to create another city with other Assassin Characters. London, Evie and Jacob are completely fine. Funny, arguing and a nice voice for both of them. Syndicate is like a raw diamond. It just needs more Story. Another Game in London, with Evie, Jacob ... more London Story with information on the year they are playing in, and of corse more present day story. Just make the present day story optional. So everyone can decide to play it or not.
This series needs a cohesive modern story to tie everything together. That's why the Desmond games felt like a real story that progressed with each game. The new ones are just disjointed and don't connect
I love that the four drones that were used by the assassin's were all named after those that Shaun and Rebecca lost over the years. Desmond, Lucy, Clay, and Hannah. That's such a nice touch and I'm pretty disappointed in myself that i didn't notice them the first time i watched these scenes.
In all honesty, these cutscenes sold the game to me. I always loved the modern-day sections of AC. If this is any indicator, they're making a comeback and we may get playable sections next year.
Everyone's talking about *Desmond* while I'm over here still thinking about how *Shaun* and *Rebecca* have a drone named *Clay*. I'm probably the only one who actually kinda liked him
They can revive Desmond now. I know, he was ripped apart, BUT the Shroud can regrow on cellular level. So, they can regrow the body. What about the mind? There are two options: 1. Juno in Unity claimed that Clay and Desmond are with her in the Grey. It this is true, Assassin's can "upload" his mind into body. 2. Project Phoenix confirmed that you can extract memories from the very DNA samples. So, Abstergo has Desmond DNA. They can "upload" his memories up until the moment of his death. But that's just a theory.
I watched an interview with one of the makers of the game and he said the original story for Desmond was that he lived and then they find out how to time travel and go back and visit the ancestors. Like, just freaking imagine him accidentally running into Ezio and trying to explain to him everything about the modern day. Holy crap. I don't know why they didn't keep that idea.
They could've done it as subject 16 found out about it since he's basically part of the animus, then showed him how to do it before he woke up from the coma, like when he grabbed him as the animus started collapsing. Also, would you have preferred if Desmond appeared full on physically, meaning he was actually there, or he was kind of like Minerva form and spoke to Ezio in visions like when he learned of the end of the world. What a scene that would have been when Ezio finally meets the phantom Desmond

For me this last scene with Rebeca and Shaun fighting against Otso berg and others was actually the best modern day scene in whole assassin's creed. Holy fuck im so amazed by this. Also this Doc has the best voice acting in the entire game too. Jesus, this game is awesome
The main reason of assassin's creed was the modern day story. We did all those tasks, went to all those places, we followed Desmond and his crew everywhere. Just so we can save the world. And we did, but at the end, there were more questions than answers. Ubisoft messed up the final games. And ever since AC Unity I always had this idea of a first person parkour, modern day missions. Like think of it like this. We as the Initiates, Templars come to our houses (virtually), try to kill or capture us but we get away with the assassins. Like mirrors edge. Everything in first person.
Theoretically, this means the Assassins could steal the shroud and then use it to revive Desmond! Of course, for plot purposes, the Templars would probably revive Juno before Assassins steal the Shroud.
I miss desmond. He made the modern day section of these games fun and now that he's gone it's been nothing but shit. Please Ubisoft use the cloth to revive him so we can start having a good present day story again.

Why aren't we playing these sections? That's the real problem with the modern day plot, it's so clearly tacked on when before we had Desmond to control and were invested.
One thing I didn't get. Was Lucy really a traitor or was Juno manipulating us to believe that? Maybe with Lucy alive, Juno wouldn't reach her goal so she made Desmond kill her? I don't know
Ubisoft really screwed up killing Desmond. The present day storyline was so interesting. I hope they realized that and maybe they can bring Desmond father back as the main character for the present day.

+commando assassin Haytham was my favourite surprisingly just a bit more than Shay...while AC3 was a bit mediocre as a game it's dialogue was still pretty good and Haytham's points about society always interested me.

You know I hated syndicate, alot.... but that being said I've never felt so many emotions from the ending of this game. The modern day fight scene is so well done. You cant tell who is going to win. The music playing in the background, it shows the struggles the assassins being hunted, it's fantastic, I't doesn't excuse the mediocrity of the rest of the game but I want more modern day moments like that one. That scene shows that the modern day can be good if ubisoft could take their heads out of their collective asses.
I think in the next assassins Creed games, the modern bits should be more like brotherhood and three, but with Shaun as the protagonist. I think he is a great character

Look people I know it's hard but you are just gonna have to accept the fact that Desmond is D E A D. However unsatisfied you may feel about the Modern Day now, his time has come and gone. Personally if they brought Desmond back by some bullshit excuse of a plot Ubisoft will loose the last bit of credibly it has left. So let them focus on bringing in a new playable MD protagonist. This Galina chick is all kinds of interesting from what I've seen.

The reality is as much as it pains me to say, Desmond (r.i.p) is gone for good. As a long time fan I understand... we want to recapture that feeling that made AC so special since a lot of us think this franchise has lost it's 'soul' so to speak, I still think there is a slither of hope left. So yes we should keep pushing the devs to invest more in the MD plot and making a new and unique playable protagonist instead of hopelessly looking back with rose tinted glasses.
Yeah but I understand them. With AC1 to ACB preparing the ground for Desmond, how AC3 scrapped it is really frustrating. But if Desmond ever could have be back, it would have been done in AC4, but yeah, now it's too late. Syndicate's MD could have been very good with a new protagonist and gameplay, but nope. Victorian London is just another wasted time period.

And hey, have you watched the video where Nolan North revealed what their original vision for Desmond was? If I recall correctly, they apparently planned to have 6 games and each game he would be reliving a different ancestor in a completely new setting, gaining each assassins abilities which would of made him like the ultimate assassin by the end of his saga. So it sounds like the bleeding effect would of played a much more prominent role with Desmond too which also sounds way more cooler than what we got with him in this MD. Ugh I just don't wanna think about it anymore...
I miss the old assassin's creed so much! I couldn't get shit out of Unity and Syndicate. There was barely a story in the present day, The fact that all of the modern day cutscenes last 10 minutes out of the entire game is really sad. I miss Desmond, he was what kept me playing Assassin's Creed. And to find out more about the story and what he had to do to save the world. Now that they killed him off, there hasn't been much of anything anymore. Really disappointing.

Everyone complaining about how "the modern day hasn't gone anywhere since AC3" fail to realize plot progression isn't something you rush! Yeah we had Desmond going through a lot in just 5 games, but that was because they needed to sync with the whole 12/21/12 fiasco. Now that they have time to build up what they wanna do, yeah it's not gonna go by so fast. Just look at every tv and movie series...they take whole seasons and sequels of character/plot development to have a huge payoff rather than rush things!! Also, Juno isn't gonna go into the gray and be strong enough to take over the world. Hell, she tried to take over a body in AC4 and failed, so like the thousands of years she took to get to this point, she's gonna plan out her next move. Be patient and I assure you Ubi will deliver. They even stated they know how all of this ends...just gotta decide how long they want to take to get there!!

I totally agree. I mean, Ezio's saga was fantastic and I will never forget all the times I had with him. But really, they could drop the point of the games entirely now. I love AC for the modern day and I just want to see what happens to these characters.

The modern day was always my favorite segment of AC, not nessesseraly because of all the Desmond and Juno crap, I was just really fascinated by the whole, modern day day espionage, corporate sabotage, and political-economic conspiracy type shit. (The Assassin-Templar War essentially) I think that the only thing that kept my going back in Highschool was me day dreaming and putting myself in the shoes of a modern day assassin and just wondering what life was like for them, how they operate, fund there operations, is it possible to have a normal life but at the same time being an assassin in secret. I suppose that's why I was much more satisfied with the game, wish I coulda played all this shit as opposed to just watching it lol

In fact, the shroud could be used to "revive" Desmond.( I have revive in quotation marks because it could just build someone with Desmond's looks, memories and personalities but he's not Desmond).
There was also a file in AC unity where Juno states that Desmond will stay trapped with her, implying his consciousness is not dead.
I could keep stating ways in which they could revive Desmond for days , but at the end of the day, it all depends on how long UBISOFT plans to continue taking our money.

Predictions:
Next game, Juno will be brought to life in a physical body thanks to the Shroud. Near the end of the game, the Assassins steal the Shroud from her and place it on Desmond's dead body.
Finally, in the game after that one, we are back and playing as Desmond in the modern world, where Aiden from Watch Dogs also makes an appearance! xD

I played Assassin's Creed Syndicate as my first Assassin's Creed, and naturally I didn't understand these cutscenes at all. Now I've caught up with all the previous titles and it's great that I can watch all the cutscenes to like this to keep up with the present day story before moving on to Origins.
What kind of Syndicate videos would you like to see on the channel?

Syndicate is like a raw diamond. It just needs more Story. Another Game in London, with Evie, Jacob ... more London Story with information on the year they are playing in, and of corse more present day story.
Just make the present day story optional. So everyone can decide to play it or not.

This series needs a cohesive modern story to tie everything together. That's why the Desmond games felt like a real story that progressed with each game. The new ones are just disjointed and don't connect
I love that the four drones that were used by the assassin's were all named after those that Shaun and Rebecca lost over the years. Desmond, Lucy, Clay, and Hannah. That's such a nice touch and I'm pretty disappointed in myself that i didn't notice them the first time i watched these scenes.
In all honesty, these cutscenes sold the game to me. I always loved the modern-day sections of AC. If this is any indicator, they're making a comeback and we may get playable sections next year.

Everyone's talking about *Desmond* while I'm over here still thinking about how *Shaun* and *Rebecca* have a drone named *Clay*. I'm probably the only one who actually kinda liked him
They can revive Desmond now. I know, he was ripped apart, BUT the Shroud can regrow on cellular level. So, they can regrow the body. What about the mind? There are two options:
1. Juno in Unity claimed that Clay and Desmond are with her in the Grey. It this is true, Assassin's can "upload" his mind into body.
2. Project Phoenix confirmed that you can extract memories from the very DNA samples. So, Abstergo has Desmond DNA. They can "upload" his memories up until the moment of his death.
But that's just a theory.

I watched an interview with one of the makers of the game and he said the original story for Desmond was that he lived and then they find out how to time travel and go back and visit the ancestors. Like, just freaking imagine him accidentally running into Ezio and trying to explain to him everything about the modern day. Holy crap. I don't know why they didn't keep that idea.
I heard about it, and it would be awesome. But Ubisoft changed his plans after ending of Revelations

They could've done it as subject 16 found out about it since he's basically part of the animus, then showed him how to do it before he woke up from the coma, like when he grabbed him as the animus started collapsing.
Also, would you have preferred if Desmond appeared full on physically, meaning he was actually there, or he was kind of like Minerva form and spoke to Ezio in visions like when he learned of the end of the world. What a scene that would have been when Ezio finally meets the phantom Desmond

For me this last scene with Rebeca and Shaun fighting against Otso berg and others was actually the best modern day scene in whole assassin's creed. Holy fuck im so amazed by this.

The main reason of assassin's creed was the modern day story. We did all those tasks, went to all those places, we followed Desmond and his crew everywhere. Just so we can save the world. And we did, but at the end, there were more questions than answers. Ubisoft messed up the final games. And ever since AC Unity I always had this idea of a first person parkour, modern day missions. Like think of it like this. We as the Initiates, Templars come to our houses (virtually), try to kill or capture us but we get away with the assassins. Like mirrors edge. Everything in first person.
Plus if you think of it, it's not far from a fully modern day assassins creed game.

Even though it was a stupid idea and mistake to kill off desmond, I was happy when shaun spoke of desmond, I also love how the drones were named after fallen assassin's.
i do hope that the next instalment will continue the story and not be a soft reboot... the present day part are more interesting to see it unfold...

You know I hated syndicate, alot.... but that being said I've never felt so many emotions from the ending of this game. The modern day fight scene is so well done. You cant tell who is going to win. The music playing in the background, it shows the struggles the assassins being hunted, it's fantastic, I't doesn't excuse the mediocrity of the rest of the game but I want more modern day moments like that one. That scene shows that the modern day can be good if ubisoft could take their heads out of their collective asses.

Éric Degré I know but some people in the comments want him back, like actually want him to return back to life and that would be bullshit writing if Ubi does that. The reality is as much as it pains me to say, Desmond (r.i.p) is gone for good. As a long time fan I understand... we want to recapture that feeling that made AC so special since a lot of us think this franchise has lost it's 'soul' so to speak, I still think there is a slither of hope left. So yes we should keep pushing the devs to invest more in the MD plot and making a new and unique playable protagonist instead of hopelessly looking back with rose tinted glasses.
Yeah but I understand them. With AC1 to ACB preparing the ground for Desmond, how AC3 scrapped it is really frustrating. But if Desmond ever could have be back, it would have been done in AC4, but yeah, now it's too late. Syndicate's MD could have been very good with a new protagonist and gameplay, but nope. And hey, have you watched the video where Nolan North revealed what their original vision for Desmond was? If I recall correctly, they apparently planned to have 6 games and each game he would be reliving a different ancestor in a completely new setting, gaining each assassins abilities which would of made him like the ultimate assassin by the end of his saga. So it sounds like the bleeding effect would of played a much more prominent role with Desmond too which also sounds way more cooler than what we got with him in this MD. Ugh I just don't wanna think about it anymore...

I miss the old assassin's creed so much! I couldn't get shit out of Unity and Syndicate. There was barely a story in the present day, The fact that all of the modern day cutscenes last 10 minutes out of the entire game is really sad. I miss Desmond, he was what kept me playing Assassin's Creed. And to find out more about the story and what he had to do to save the world. Now that they killed him off, there hasn't been much of anything anymore. Really disappointing.

Everyone complaining about how "the modern day hasn't gone anywhere since AC3" fail to realize plot progression isn't something you rush! Yeah we had Desmond going through a lot in just 5 games, but that was because they needed to sync with the whole 12/21/12 fiasco. Now that they have time to build up what they wanna do, yeah it's not gonna go by so fast. Just look at every tv and movie series...they take whole seasons and sequels of character/plot development to have a huge payoff rather than rush things!! Also, Juno isn't gonna go into the gray and be strong enough to take over the world. Hell, she tried to take over a body in AC4 and failed, so like the thousands of years she took to get to this point, she's gonna plan out her next move. Be patient and I assure you Ubi will deliver. They even stated they know how all of this ends...just gotta decide how long they want to take to get there!!

Arekilo Bolimeri Name one stealth game franchise you know that's just like Assassin's Creed and I will take back everything I said. I honestly believe that the novelty of going back in time and reliving history has run out. I believe the franchise can thrive off of the modern day story. It has so much untapped potential.

+Warden L It's funny you say that, because at the end of syndicate, in the modern world, they show them using some sort of clone technology, and seeing that they've been using Desmond's DNA in the Animas... that could be a possibility.... but for the past 3 years it seems like Ubisoft has been winging people off the modern-day storyline... I would be pretty surprised if that's what they did... Without a modern-day storyline, this game just feels like a one sided coin. :/

Fuck this. Ubisoft is fucking lazy! They keep making a shitty 10 mins Present Day story since Black Flag, and they always give us a message that the story will continue, like in Syndicate. BUT WHEN? They are wasting their games for this instead of making a complete story like the old times. For me, when Desmond died the series died too. No more PD story, no main PD character and they will keep doing that until Assassin's Creed 100. I mean DAMN I'm a fan since 2007 and I want a good AC already!!!
I was thinking since the multiple playable characters were introduced and worked well, we could possibly play as Shaun and Rebecca in the next AC. That would be very cool.
