How to set units in Blender

    Thank you so much. Your videos are life savers! I just want to print molds and there is so much information out there about all the stuff I don't need (like 95% of blender, lol)

    It’s strange, I followed the video and created a one inch cube (25.4mm on all sides), to check it I moved the front top vertex back to the corresponding vertex to see the distance, assuming it was going to be 25.4mm but it was 78mm…. I don’t get this program, everything is just so difficult and counterintuitive. I’ve learnt light wave, maya and 3ds max with no problems, but blender just baffles me

      I'm not 100% sure this is the issue, but next to the coordinates (after you press "n") there are two buttons for global and local, if you want to check the distance how you are doing it, make sure its set to global.

      Blender definitely has a learning curve. But once you get past it you will be able to make anything.
