Man, for such an old game, SF2 is nonetheless still pretty deep and way ahead of it's time. Me and my friends still play it occasionally and we all find it still more complex then most fighting games that come out today. No super moves, no mid-air blocks, no long list of moves or overly complex combos. Just tactics and skill.
Honestly wish fighting games were still like this nowadays. It’s better for pros (all about reading your opponent, way more engaging) and casuals (easy to understand, but hard to master). I definitely don’t like long move or combo lists, especially when you’re only gonna use a few of them. SF2 will always be THE fighting game!
Street Fighter didn't exactly have the most complex AI... it is pretty easy to get them to fall into patterns. However, it's still impressive to spend enough time with the game to figure all those patterns out. Kudos :)
Yes, yes it was. You could even Heavy kick Zangief to death he just kept walking /Jumping into them, same with Chun li, except med kick, as she was faster. Also you could also do a similar thing to Guile as Ryu & ken. just get him into a pattern of missing flash kicks and you have him.
That's because he keeps betting on the winning fighter! The guy next to him is always betting on the losing fighter, which is why he weeps after the fight.
well ken is more likely to hit u with shoryuken. Ryu throws a lot of fireballs and counters your jumping attacks. by either a shoryuken or a roundhouse kick. then if u figure him out, he will attack u like ken does
there are chances my friend. the AI is programmed that way so if dhalsim does an attack, the com to evade it, tries to perform another move (which is jumping on this occasion)
@Daggerfall40 I can't really agree with that, I mean yes, it was ahead of its time and a great game in 1991. But, it's pretty badly unbalanced. I agree with you that some of the more modern games went too far in the other direction and overcomplicated things though. But the ones that get it right, are much more enjoyable than SF2. It deserves credit for being a pioneer for sure but it's pretty broken.

I love how you conned Ryu and Ken to throw an uppercut
i especially liked the difficulty of the cpu and your versatile style of play.

It must have taken quite some time to figure out how enemies could be defeated using different fighters.

I Always wondered if were possible to perfect with dhal.
Here in Brazil, at least in the North, we call this tactics "apelação"...
The shadow looked like blood :)
You beat 'em like Megaman bosses!
Anyway, it was a good fight, you show good tactics with Dhalsim's difficult control.
lolol E. Honda is always jumping!
My little nephew saw the first minute or so theis video and is now all around the house shouting "Arrr you gayy!!!"
That particular one, is Shoruken. Hadoken is the ranged one.
Thhat one guy in the background in Vegas looks really excited.
ryu usually doesn't do shoryuken out of sequence even on normal difficultly. I seriously doubt this is the hardest level
uuuaaaaaa uaaaaaaa uaaaaaaa...(echo) ...best

Honda the frog!
nice upload
Yeah tell me about it
Great manipulation of game's input reading. Luckily those games didn't have AIs capable of learning like today.
on kens stage, is that really Q?
Dhalsim judoka. He throwing his opponents with the technique "Ippon seoi nage".
Ryu from Japan is the most difficult Street Fighter of all time you faced.
That's because he keeps betting on the winning fighter! The guy next to him is always betting on the losing fighter, which is why he weeps after the fight.
Shoryuken! + Slam, Shryuken! + Slam, Shoryuken! + Slam ..... Ha Ha Ha Ha lol chuckles

Honda: If i keep repeating this same shit it will work at least once
shoryuken...oh fuck he threw me
hardest ryu tries to punish limbs with shoryus, same with ken.
