I love my strongarm.... I've had it now going on almost 4 years i guess... with lots of use... feels good in hand and at the time i got mine... it was only like 70 bucks
I was looking close. Just like the one I got from Amazon for $48, I see all the signs of a knockoff. 😡 I don't understand why Gerber allows this. The video used in the Amazon ad is Gerber's vid and the knife in vid is a real one yet they are selling knockoffs. I collected several top Gerbers throughout the 1980's. I quit and began collecting other brands. I kept seeing the Strong-arm and made in USA so I order. Pretty much will never do that again. If any purchase of a Gerber it will be in my hands before I pay. This sucks. Instead of sending back I will beat it up. My 1980's Gerbers are all unused except two. My Parabellum has never had a stone on it. 38 years old and it's new...never used. Has the original sheath. So I have a bad taste in my mouth with Gerber right now....
@eddieroberts3402 I get it. My favorite Gerber is the Australian utility knife and that was made a long while ago. I had purchased their anniversary knife not to long ago and it is good looking but the fit and finish isn’t really there. It was like it was trying to be a Benchmade in quality but missed the mark.
Fake. - strap closes to the wrong side - edge too far on the blade - drop point too long - paint too shiny - on the original you don't need any heat gun - original is shar as a razor - rear striking point not centrally aligned
You got yourself a gerber knockoff you need to look a little closer at what you're buying don't take my word for it do your research you have a very very cheap knockoff
This is my first Strong arm, so I figure the only thing I can do to check is to order one directly from Gerber and do a side by side to see the difference.
I purchased a strong arm directly from Gerber and now everything is more apparent. From the packaging to the coating on the blade. Thank you 🙏🏼 and I’ll be making a new video to share the information. I’m returning the knockoff after I make the video.
Best one I’ve seen. Finally someone who shows how and what to do, GREAT JOB!!!! 👍
Many thanks 🙏🏼

I have 2 Strongarms and unfortunately the features knife is a knock off. I have been duped by Amazon as well on the same knife.
It’s shows poorly on Amazon to allow this.
I own two StrongArms and two Prodigy fixed blades also and they as knoves that live ip to their names ,⚔️✂️⚔️
I just picked up an LMF 2 infantry and will be doing a comparison soon.
@@haveaknifeday
Good choice and all around combat utility fixed blade I'm told. 👍
Sorry to tell you but that is a bootleg Strongarm. I don't even like Gerbers and I spotted it right away. Nothing is right about it
Already found out and there is a buyer beware video that I have made. That knife has been shipped back via Amazon and got my money back.

@eddieroberts3402 between that and Amazon dropping the ball.

@@haveaknifeday I like my Glocks. Tough knife for use.
Low cost.

And the finish on the blade is to shiny
You are very correct. Everything is rather shiny and the sheath has discoloration on it. The real deal is of higher quality all around.
@12:43 he points out the female sides of the snaps mine has 1 male where it snaps ONCE AGAIN BUY FROM DISTRIBUTOR
This is definitely a “beware of Amazon” sellers.
yup a fake

Really? Is it the quality of the sheath?
@@haveaknifeday the knife is fake so is the sheath if you don't believe me just do your research I spotted it right off

you can also tell by the box, did it have packaging containing all the sales pamphlets and warranty? Or did it just have bubble wrap around it?

100% fake!
Which is why I made a follow up video on how to spot it before you purchase it 👍🏼

This is the video showing how to spot the fake. The fake was returned to the seller afterwards.
