I came here specifically to say "Multipass" before too many others did (though I realize you're probably/possibly talking about references within the actual game).
@@marcindzamroga8945 We honestly just need more games that give us the option to say "screw this job, we are taking the dog to the park, then the brewery, then the pet store, then home for a healthy dinner, then fetch, then watching tv and cuddling.
4:00 I mean technically voxels don't have to be square blocks, it's just anything where volume is defined instead of surfaces, so yeah... maybe the clouds are sort of meta-ball style things?
I bought the game two weaks ago for my switch and started playing last sunday. Fell in live with it after watching it on a German Livestream. Despite being a bit spoiled about the story i just learned from this video that there is a cockpit view... And i love it. Thank you for showing it of. :)
The dialog and plot make the game. Deliveries are fun, but it's their stories and the interconnectivity of them that really make the game. Even left it open for a sequel.
I loved this game. I love the style, the look, the gameplay, the voice cast, the great characters, but... I could not finish it. Its one of those where you think "okay, this is the end section now", but then goes into a whole new one. Just ended up dragging a little.
This is one of my favorite indie games to come out of 2020. If you do livestream it, you could probably play through the whole game in 2 livestreams. It usually takes between 6 and 10 hours to beat depending on how many side quests you want to do.
As someone who has yet to move out of the rents and desperately wishes to do so, I would kill for the apartment in this video, it has literally everything I need (so long as it has cyberpunk wifi).
In this video we get to see Jons total lack of understanding of traffic laws and road safety as he cuts people off, drives outside of legal lanes and drives into other drivers ways only to tell them off when they hit him
You really need to chat with the named characters you pass by on the street, there's some fun mini story conversation to be found. They show up on the map (you never opened the main map the whole video) as face icons.
It seems to me that the company itself can be legal but things like employment law, immigration offices and anti organized crime institution can like checking it so they keep it clean as much as possible
Fifth Element driver sim with a good boy dog-car? Wonderful! If only it wasn't a one or two parter on a channel that specializes in 12th century bureaucracy simulators :D
I can almost hear Obi Wan screaming at Anakin to slow down
Wanna buy some death stix?
Please please please do a full play through of this game! Im sure I’m not alone in saying that I would love to see more of this!
Camus thinking he was a bad dog because of the taxi made me legit sob.
I want this game just for the pupper!😊
I'm wondering how many "The Fifth Element" references there are going to be.
I came here specifically to say "Multipass" before too many others did (though I realize you're probably/possibly talking about references within the actual game).
Nearly did it
Not enough
I got ya "You have 1 point left on your license."
BIG BADA BOOM
Crazy Taxi: 2077
I didn't think by crazy they meant existential dystopia taxi, lol
My heart broke when Camus asked if he was a bad dog 😭
If the dog doesnt end up being happy by the end of this game, I dont know what ill do.
Write aggressively polite angry emails to the devs?
@@marcindzamroga8945 We honestly just need more games that give us the option to say "screw this job, we are taking the dog to the park, then the brewery, then the pet store, then home for a healthy dinner, then fetch, then watching tv and cuddling.
What a good pupper ai!
I have a feeling that no one's going to be happy by the end of this game. Cyberpunk worlds usually don't have a lot of happy endings.
@@corgis163 Hope you can afford all that without the job
Just have to say, I friggen love your content these days Jon. You've hit your groove over the last 12 months and it's consistently great content.
What I learned from this video: Never get into a car driven by MATN.
You must be new here if you didn't know that already. Welcome to the channel.
MFW the nightmare dystopia hovel studio is way bigger than what I live in.
Right? That was a nice ass studio, complete with large balcony.
"ahhh so the job has 2 parts.. No 3 parts.."
*Proceeds to explain the jobs in 4 steps*
I love MATN lol!
😂
34:20 John just admitted he wants to become a Theseuss' ship of argumentations.
I mean... who doesn't?
Who doesnt want to transhumanise himself? Ive allready got at least 3 major upgrade.
A human being is already a ship of Theseus by default (both physically and psychologically), but lose sleep over augmentations if it suits you.
@@blarg2429 what if you don't need to sleep, don't grow old nor need much substances to stay alive?
That is why cyerpunk is basically the future.
@@METALFREAK03 You misunderstood me. I'm on your side of this argument (if it can be called that).
This game is a gem. I fell in love with it the same way I did with GreedFall last year
Jon 10 seconds in the video: **mentions word "courier" **
Me: **starting to have Fallout New Vegas flashbacks**
i knew im not the only one!
Jon's first augment when Cyberpunk comes around is anything to improve his perception.
I absolutely loved this game. It never gets crazy exciting, it's just a chill game to have a smoke with and refresh on the weekend.
4:00 I mean technically voxels don't have to be square blocks, it's just anything where volume is defined instead of surfaces, so yeah... maybe the clouds are sort of meta-ball style things?
Distopian future from the Fifth element was about a taxi driver.
But the distopian future we're heading into has only Uber drivers
not only is this game utterly gorgeous, the writing and voice acting is so good, I got invested really quickly.
Holy. That apartment is bigger than mine.
Maybe I should work for a shady delivery company.
I'm a pretty recent subscriber and I have to say the outtakes from previous games are hilarious.
Jon: I need to save all the money to cheer up my sad AI dog
Also Jon: Pimps out his delivery vehicle for no actual benefit
Makes sense considering that the dog is now the car
@@Vokabre That makes sense in a round about way.
Oh nice! I am glad you covered this, Jon! Thanks!
I didnt know I wanted an AI Dog Taxi in my life
Would LOVE to see more of this!
it's kinda halfway between 5th element and "space taxi" on commodore 64, if anybody reading this is even old enough to know what that is...
I had her predecessor, the comador vic20.. are we too old? ;)
The driving sections vaguely remind me of Turbo Esprit on the Speccy 48k (which is obviously the superior computer)
Boomer respect
You have one point left on your licence...
Fifth Element the game. I like it.
Never heard "shufti' used for "speed" , though it was more for "a look" @41:09
I'm instantly in love with this one! I hope to see more!

A thing this game needs:
Free mode.
Where you can travel around the city doing jobs without much dialogue or plot.
The dialog and plot make the game.
Deliveries are fun, but it's their stories and the interconnectivity of them that really make the game.
Even left it open for a sequel.
@@popcultureisdead818 I second that. And the voice acting is really excellent, really sells the game to me.

this game does a good job of storytelling and presenting the world without shoving a raw slab of exposition down your throat.
Beat this the day it came out. gotta redo for other options and 1st person now!
This game has been on my steam wishlist for a while. Great game!
This is great ! Please make this into a series
Enjoyed this. Play more please!
Please do more of this game!!! ❤️
This is such a cool game, I’d love to see more of this.
He did say possible livestream vote in the future, so hopefully he will.
Was Jon unable to see the minimap or something? A lot of his confusion seemed to be pretty easily cleared up by glancing at the minimap.
You must be new here
He suffers from CSS(Can't See Shit). It's from the same family of illness as CRS(Can't Remember Shit)

That was pretty good, Jon. Some more , please ???

I look forward to Cloudpunk becoming a Livestream.
All it takes for a game to get my interest is to include cyberpunk themes and I’m sold
This game's music reminds me of tron.
I didn't expect I would enjoy it so much. Nice looking game :)
Jon: cuts in front of a car going the other direction

Jon: pikachu face
Jon: "I was driving there you dick!"
@34:30. I would suggest you start with some to increase perception Jon. 😜
This just goes to prove.. Jon is a terrifying driver. :P

Is there any free roam sections or is it strictly story line do this/do that sort of deal?
This is great! More please!
I want to watch John play this whole game
I for one welcome my cab/courier delivery dispatcher overlords

only jon would deliver a bomb to a metro because it quicker then going to the other location

Pretty cool game. Would enjoy seeing more.
This looks absolutely gorgeous! I know it's a stylistic choice, but I'd still wish they could make the character models a little bit more realistic.
What a charming game.
The game immediately reminded me of "NYC Race" based on The Fifth Element

I've seen automatic highway tolls before. Do they not exist outside of Canada and the US?

I love this game! Good story and enjoyable just to drive around and explore a bit.
There is a first person option on foot too, I personally play the game in full first person it's pretty darn beautiful that way!
I first played this game without the cockpit and 3rd person view and I gotta to say I kinda wanna play it again
I got the signature Edition of this. Its beautiful.
FINALLY I KNEW YOU WERE GUNNA COVER THIS
The voice acting and writing all feels so 90s
This game is reminding me of American McGee's Scrapland. Might have to replay that someday soon.
