    Got a set at my local Trek dealer after watching this video. So far I'm loving them. Thanks!

    Im going to have to pick up a pair of these. They look alot like the Origin 8 Vex which are crazy grippy but since they are Bontrager the quality is likely better. With that concave and two extra pins Im not surprised that they out grip the Chesters.

    I have these on my trek fuel ex 5. Love them, bontrager makes good stuff

    I've done 3 rides with these now and I love them. I'm still getting used to flats, rode years and years with clipless so I don't have anything else to compare them too. What I like is: grippyness, lightweight, comformt - they feel sort of cushiony on the feet. I'm tired of having sore feet after a long days ride, these go a long ways to removing pain. As you get older, eliminating sources of pain becomes important. :-)

    Can't believe the guy can keep shooting at the same angle for so long without being bored.

    I just got rid of my OneUp pedals and replaced them with these. Couldn't be happier with them. Stick like glue on my 510 Freerides.

      You still using the Bontrager's? Ive been using the One Up composites but i find the raised centre shit and they are a bit too wide for my shoe size (US9)

      You feel the bontragers are better than the oneup composites?

    NC-17 Sudpin IV S-Pro.
    This Sudpin IV is a revision of the legendary Sudpin III, which already performs its service in perfection for thousands of bikes and will continue to do so. After the first Red Bull Rampage event, a lot has changed. Higher, faster, more, harder. We responded to this with the Sudpin IV and made the impossible possible. Security first! This applies to our Pro Team Rider as well as to all our NC-17 products. With the FAIL SAFE system we developed, NC-17 sets new standards again. Whoever doesn't need it continues to go on with the Sudpin III more than good.
    Technical data:
    Weight: 360 grams (pair)
    Material: 7075-T6 aluminium.
    NEW with FAIL SAFE System.
    CNC manufactured.
    Cr-Mo axis.
    Including. Spare pins.
    Laser engraved.
    Identification number.
    Kick area (LxBxH): 90x100x15mm.
    Colour: silver polished.

      Bennito Dante 36 ah yeah nice, I can’t say I’ve heard of them before now. I’ll have a suss of them. Any chance you’d like to send me a set to demo?

    I went from the chesters to these, same price but way better pedal in my opinion; the chesters have the raised middle part, same as the one up you talk about, which was making me lose grip in rocky sections.
    Bontrager makes good stuff, i think it's an underrated brand.

    Save yourself $25 & get the OneUp Composites. Bombproof and grippy as. Sorry I commented before I heard your thoughts on the OneUps. I have not noticed a convex feeling from the axle under foot...in fact looking at the pedals right now & they are flat as. Durability is 10/10. Look similar to the Bontys just slimmer in profile.

    Ive got both Atlas and Horizon pedals and just checked and the Atlas pins fit in the Horizon pedal body. You can buy the Atlas pins from MTB direct, sounds like you need to try make the ultimate pedal and combine the two.

    • @mtbtelly5522
      @mtbtelly5522  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Andrew K ah sweet! Yeah I wasn’t sure where to get them and haven’t really had a look into it. You’re dead right I reckon the horizon with atlas pins will be the ultimate pedal setup. Cheers man!

    • @andrewk3473
      @andrewk3473 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@mtbtelly5522 only potential issue is that the Atlas pins are about 1mm shorter, may just be mine as my Atlas pedals are over a year old and the Horizons are bramd new.

    • @mtbtelly5522
      @mtbtelly5522  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Andrew K ah yeah, shouldn’t be an issue because of the extra bite you get from the sharper pin

    These are very nice... FYI, Mzyrh has a pair that looks identical (looks like a clone, perhaps they are the ones that manufacture for Bontrager or they copied the design ??) ... they come in 6 colors sell for $ 22 USD as of now on Amazon) ... a friend has a pair on an old Trek and they seem to work very well

  • @brokenlegz
    @brokenlegz 5 ปีที่แล้ว

    Ha, I really wanted some crankbrothers pedals when I got my bike but they didn’t have them in stock and I didn’t want to wait. So I just got these thinking they’ll be meh, But I can’t complain. So grippy took a while to get used to.
    I’ve had mine nearly a year but you would do more riding in a few weeks than I get to do. But mine are still good.
    It’s just funny because I usually watch reviews and research everything to try and get something decent, but I bought these on a whim and now I see this review, I accidentally bought the best pedals lol. 👌🏻

      @mtbtelly5522  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      brokenlegz haha you got the lucky dip dude. As long as they last they’re an excellent pedal. I’m glad you didn’t get the crankbrothers, I’ve seen a few of them with broken axles over the past year or so
