OSU and Ryan Day won the National Championship over a team that showed great heart…Notre Dame proved they belonged in this game after all, and my hat is off to them…But my Buckeyes proved a greatness that nobody was going to stop them…It was like a heavyweight fight that had two great fighters but the heavily-favored one took an uppercut and almost got knocked out…but he managed to hang in there, found a way to fight back, won the rest of the rounds and ended up winning big in the final round…beautiful story with a beautiful ending and OSU earned their accolades with grace…😊
I would have thought it would have been Fowler the one to cry..He went Bonkers when Notre Dame scored on the first TD..Even mocked Kirk later on when Fowler said to Kirk.."you said they don't fumble and they just did " almost sounded like he was happy to me..
Ohio State Buckeyes National Champions Congratulations Notre Dame on a Championship worthy season. It warms me heart seeing ya with the sun upon your shoulders
This is real Brotherhood ! An example of what we can be! The depth of Love and Faith that these young men showed the world not just tonight but in the last few years. They could have left and went to the NFL but they knew there was still something that wasn't finished. They Believed in each other and in their coach. Coach Day knows this is just the beginning for these young men. You might not understand everything he does but his goal wasn't just to win a Championship. He helped build a bond & a brotherhood of men, that the world so desperately needs to see right now.
I will say that I was very disappointed that his son is going to ex again but I was very impressed by his emotion and love for the game and love for the school that he played for
There are some of those d***wad fans of TTUN saying "it's a shared National title." They finished 8-5, and came into Columbus against a team looking ahead with a coach who couldn't get over his ego. Ryan Day has gotten over his ego now. They better watch out next year.
Lmao 😂 they beat you.. 4 in a row.. And michigan won the championship last year.. And they went UNDEFEATED! 😂 Ohio state did none of that.. You sound dumb af 🤦♂️😂 Uh durrr
I greatly respect for Coach Freeman and the ND team/coaches. Coach Freeman is a class act, something Mr Holtz needs to gleam from Marcus. As a Buckeye for 71 years, I couldn't be happier nor prouder of my team. And Kirk, you can be as emotional as you want. You know far better than most of us what Day, the other coaches, and the team has done on a day-to-day basis. It will remain a very sweet moment in our university's history.
I love this for Ohio State, coaches, fans and for Kirk. It must be so hard to be an analyst, bottle up those emotions and to remain impartial on his broadcasts when he has history as a Buckeye. Cheers to Kirk. 🎉
Kirt has Buckeye blood. Always has. His true heart finally came out. Buckeye brotherhood never dies. To be a dad and play for OSU than for tour son to be a part of history. Theres nothing better.
I’m as guilty as anyone with my criticism’s of this team. I’ve not been happy at all with the Ryan Day era, especially after the last UM loss. But, after what we’ve all been through the past 6yrs, I’m gonna enjoy this for a LONG time. And, I’m happy for Ryan Day, this team, the program, and all the returning seniors, to pull off the one, nearly impossible, feat that could’ve redeemed a LOT of underperformance. I really hope he’s “cracked the code”, and this is the beginning of a dynasty…or, if nothing else, beating UM on a regular basis. Major congrats to all Buckeye fans everywhere. This was a long time coming. *And, a huge salute to Notre Dame, and what they did this year with their season. That team has nothing to hang their heads about, and had there been another 10min left on the clock, who knows how things would’ve turned out. So, “mad respect” as they say to that team.* 🫡.
@ ABSOLUTELY, brother. Don’t get me wrong… After 6yrs of underperformance, culminating with that lost to UM at home, I’m not ABOUT to apologize for how I indescribably disgusted I felt. And, we stood behind Day for a LONG time, up to that point. So many Buckeye fans felt the same way, that 40K Tennessee fans were able to pack the The Shoe (which I think is a first in history). Setting some tickets aside for the visiting team is one thing…30-35% of the stadium being filled with visiting fans is something else entirely. And, I have a little bit of a concern now that, this will turn into a “How do you like me now” situation….which is the worst thing that could happen. Because as incredible, and history as this win was, on paper Ryan Day still has himself in a hole. This win was the ONLY thing that could’ve given us Buckeye fans a reason to give him another year. I think he’s earned that much. *And, I’d REALLY like to think he’s a much different coach after these past 5 games, and has it figured out.* But, this happiness WILL wear off, at some point, and, come next year, all it will take is one typical Ryan Day game, for us to go right back to that “awful place”. BUT, with all that said…as a 100% devoted, deep-rooted, Buckeye fan, I’m going to enjoy this for all it’s worth, happily eat my crow (because I didn’t give this team even a REMOTE chance) appreciate the magnitude of it, and say, genuinely, that I’m proud of what Day, and this team has accomplished the last 4 games, in-spite of that last home loss that all-but, broke that program. 👍
Go buckeyes! Maybe Kirk is a true Buckeye after all. I do see all the tears through the players also. It sucked all season but we won the natty. That’s best in the nation.

@@goonbucksI feel sorry for our Michigan friends. It must be hard realizing that there was literally NOTHING they could do to prevent OSU'S destiny from becoming Natty Champs. Must be hard rooting for a team THAT irrelevant! Lol!
Go Bucks!! National Champs, baby!!!
Buckeye fan for decades and Herby is one of us. I don't care about whatever nonsense a few seem to have with him. He's one of us so it's nice to see him be able to feel tonight as a Buckeye as well.
Dude loves the team, hates the fans…I get it
GOOOO BUCKSSSS !!!! We did it guys! Proud to be Buckeyes!
Herbie is so happy he doesnt have to pretend the SEC is the best anymore. The dark days of college football are finally over and balence has been restored to the force! lol
NIL..
Dark days? Lmao
@@tonyragans5866 It's better when things are done above the table and within the law.
Glad to see ryan day win he was so disrespected and happy to see kirk happy
I'm so happy! Born and raised a Buckeye! This championship is special. O-H!
this is the 9th national championship for Ohio State
Love it Kirk. Once a Buckeye always a Buckeye! Go Bucks we did it!
So proud to be a buckeye
been a tough stretch for kirk. Getting heat from the morning shows all for sticking up for ryan day. Lost his pup a few months ago… I’m glad THE ohio state got him a championship dub!!! He deserves to smile bright
From Buckeyes Rabid Fan Chapter in Vancouver, CANADA......GO BUCKS....WE ARE SO PROUD!
Thank You Herbie
Your emotions tears from the joy of the Buckeyes overcome the toughest test
Kirk your integrity goes unchallenged. Love you man. Sometimes I shut the sound off on the games because of your objectivity lol.
I'm so proud of this OSU team
We love you Kirk! Come back to Cbus!
Proud to be a Buckeye born and bred for 72 years and I totally get Kirk's reaction as many in Buckeye Nation were doing the same! Kirk has a tough job to be objective while being an impartial alumnus who played! No shame Mr. Herbstreit, many of us had tears and did again watching this!
Kirk is Football!! Love this guy. Always have
OSU and Ryan Day won the National Championship over a team that showed great heart…Notre Dame proved they belonged in this game after all, and my hat is off to them…But my Buckeyes proved a greatness that nobody was going to stop them…It was like a heavyweight fight that had two great fighters but the heavily-favored one took an uppercut and almost got knocked out…but he managed to hang in there, found a way to fight back, won the rest of the rounds and ended up winning big in the final round…beautiful story with a beautiful ending and OSU earned their accolades with grace…😊
I would have thought it would have been Fowler the one to cry..He went Bonkers when Notre Dame scored on the first TD..Even mocked Kirk later on when Fowler said to Kirk.."you said they don't fumble and they just did " almost sounded like he was happy to me..
🤣🤣🤣
Ohio State Buckeyes National Champions
Congratulations Notre Dame on a Championship worthy season.
My man kirk let it out. We was emotional w you
It’s nine national championships
What a great year Ohio State
I will say that I was very disappointed that his son is going to ex again but I was very impressed by his emotion and love for the game and love for the school that he played for
Congrats from a Notre Dame fan I hope we can get ours next year 🎉
Ichigan watching from the 🛋
There are some of those d***wad fans of TTUN saying "it's a shared National title." They finished 8-5, and came into Columbus against a team looking ahead with a coach who couldn't get over his ego.
Y’all some bums we gone smack y’all again next year 💯 enjoy yo moment and get of Michigan nuts u gobbler
KH is a class act, hes done his best to be non biased, I loved his little slip late in the game with “ Us”…
Kirk, you're one of us. We love you!
No you don't.. When things go wrong you guys turn your backs on each other. The proof is literally everywhere.
@ you sad bro? There’s next year for whatever your team is. Actually, nah…
@@BriBryBriBrycope harder cheater
@BriBryBriBry Your fraud natty is already outdated by OSU’s 3rd legit one this millennium
Kirk’s going to love and support his alma mater always.
Will never forget this team.
Neither will Michigan 😂

@BriBryBriBry enjoy your footnote. Maybe you guys can honor your 5 loss team during a halftime 10yrs from now lol
@@BriBryBriBryMichigan finally got good again. Where were they the last 25 years?
We all owe Ryan Day our gratitude for proving us wrong after the big loss in November.
I wonder if all those clowns that sent death threats found a new team
So happy for Coach Day and our Buckeyes.
Family been buckeye fans forever, lost brother at beginning of season, I sure he was watching from above and loving it
They counted us out but we prevail
I love this for Ohio State, coaches, fans and for Kirk. It must be so hard to be an analyst, bottle up those emotions and to remain impartial on his broadcasts when he has history as a Buckeye.
Cheers to Kirk. 🎉
Once a buckeye, always a buckeye!! 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
“Faith not God and in one another” is precious and takes focus off self and on the whole
Scarlet and gray you are the best you deserve it
Kirt has Buckeye blood. Always has. His true heart finally came out. Buckeye brotherhood never dies. To be a dad and play for OSU than for tour son to be a part of history. Theres nothing better.
Kudos to Coach Day for keeping his team together to climb to the top. It’s even more meaningful!
Congrats to our boys. Congrats to Buckeye Nation! Go Bucks!!
So, “mad respect” as they say to that team.* 🫡.
lets be real...the criticism wa justified, and it also fueled him...never forget one without the other. In any other program, this is an L all around
Don’t cry Herbie! Chase is a Michigan Man now! Go Blue! 💙
a brief thug tear
WE LOVE OUR BUCKEYES ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Makes me proud to be born a Buckeye!!
Go buckeyes! Maybe Kirk is a true Buckeye after all. I do see all the tears through the players also. It sucked all season but we won the natty. That’s best in the nation.
Thank God for the Buckeye's! Was in a bad bad place yesterday, thankfully the Ohio State football has given me inspiration and the hope that things will be ok. Even in these dark times..praise the lord for giving us football!
I feel you Kirk! Its goid to see this type of emotion. Congratulations Ohio St! I guve respect when respect is due. Oh by the way, im a die hard Michigan fan. Since 1997
