Just knowing how deep Steve-O went down the rabbit hole of life and crazy fame, and where he is today. I have MAD respect for him and praise his effort and strength and resolve to live in the light and not end up another star that went supernova and died. He put his body through hell, bit I love what he's doing for his soul. I think I have a new inspirational saying. "Don't just be strong, be Steve-O strong".
You don't have to even ask Steve-O questions, he'll interrupt you and tell an unknown story that is far more interesting than what you would have asked about
The section about his “phases/costumes” is so wholesome, his reaction to Sean’s comments about him looking comfortable now almost brings a tear to your eye.
When Steve-o was complimented for being comfortable in his own skin, his reaction was so genuine and incredibly sweet. He responded like he really meant it; I’m so glad that he’s proud of his growth because he definitely deserve to be.
Steve-o is like the apex of human resilience, in all senses of the word. Whether it be broken bones or drug addiction, he has managed to take control and ride life the way he likes. He is THE man.
Being in recovery myself & noticing peoples' changes, that moment touched me too, Ella. Steve-O is an absolute inspiration to those of us who've braved, not ADDICTION (millions become addicts/alcoholics), but the arduous road to sobriety. It's always a blessing to see the change of SPIRIT in someone who's battled w/death and found a new happiness, the zest for life, & the light of their Higher Power -- a reason to live in their own skin again.
I remember seeing video of him after doing some stand up or something, and someone yelled "You were funnier when you were on drugs!" And you can see Steve's reaction and you can tell that made him feel so sad. It made me really happy to see Sean tell him he looked comfortable in his own skin, as I'm sure it meant a ton to Steve-O.
Steve-O has never backed out of a 1, 2, 3, go in his life, meanwhile I back out of them constantly because the pool I'm about to jump in is slightly cold.
The "one, two, three, GO" rule has served me well over the years. From cliff diving to bungie jumping, it is genuinely an effective tool to face our fears. Thank you Steve-O, you crazy SOB.
I owe part of my sobriety to Steve-O. I was hopelessly addicted to opiates in 2013, to the point where I'd alienated friends and family and felt like I was pretty much waiting to die in my apartment, until one night I was shirtless sitting in my wreck of an apartment and I ended up watching Steve-o's documentary about his downward spiral with drugs, and how he stayed clean and bounced back to live a full and great life. It gave me hope man. A week later I reached out for help and started on that long horrible road to recovery and have been clean ever since. I still to this day think if I hadn't have clicked on that video and watched it I'd have died in that apartment. Thanks Steve you crazy motherfucker x
Ash, you're a fucking legend, glad to hear you got through it, you've been through enough. You've really been through a lot, you know, you've been through plenty. I don't know where you are or what you're doing right now, or if you'll ever read this, but you stay strong my man.
What a good episode. I also noticed here, for the first time oddly, that Sean is operating with no notes in front of him whatsoever. All of the questions are memorized, and he never misses a beat. Truly, truly impressive. Sean deserves every ounce of success that's coming to him.
Ethan On a related note, one of my favorite Sean-moments is when he does the interview with Kevin Hart. Kevin Hart is there looking away from Sean numerous times, blurting out whatever comes to his head, interrupting Sean multiple times in a minute, but Sean just keeps his cool and says his lines without any mistakes. He repeats them perfectly, he waits for Hart to be done groaning about the spicy wings, he even talks while Hart is yelling about the wings. Absolutely incredible, shows how professional Sean really is and how seriously he takes the role and the show.
22:15 you can see notes and a pen next to Sean's board (on the far side). He is definitely doing A LOT off the top of his head though, and I agree he deserves all the success! :)
Around 5 minutes he literally fixes his stack of notes. I appreciate the thought and Sean does deserve the credit but let's not fanboy/girl before even watching the video.
Wistianity I have no problem with Kevin looking away and not from Sean, if I was eating that spicy wings, I would've tried to calm myself my talking to my surroundings and that's what he did. Put yourself in his position then it makes things easier to understand.
6 years ago and the Knoxville phone call is still one of my favorite bits by a LANDSLIDE he excitedly answers, Johnny understands he's doing a business thing but took time to answer, quips back with a joke and wishes him good luck. by far my favorite moment of it all. wild to think that Johnny was there for SteveO to get cleaned and that he's a beacon of not letting addiction fully overtake your life for good. addicts can get clean, I truly think it just takes good support. Johnny (and some of the other fellas like Novak ofc) were that group for SteveO. WILD to see where SteveO and Brandon have ended up. fantastic people that are pillars of how a human can recuperate from a bad situation.

The comedian joey diaz has a ridiculous memory too and he was deep into drugs.
Maybe that's why they have such good memories, the drugs screw with your memory of when you were on the drugs, and makes all your other memories stand out?
Steve O is an actually beautiful soul lol. Hes so inspiring wtf
Hes the best
He’s living a full life, what a Legend wtf lol

Eating chicken wings? Or is that not chicken.... looks like boneless chicken to me.
You must have missed the several times throughout the video that they stated that they were eating vegan wings.

Lol oh aight I was confused at his method of biting the wings for a minute.

"I've never backed out of a 1-2-3 go." What a fucking badass
You just know it's true, too.
I literally forgot there were hot wings being eaten in this episode while listening to Steve-O's stories...

Ash congrats on your sobriety! Addiction is a bitch to beat, you should be proud for every day of being sober

3:42 pencil and notepad infront of him
Wistianity I have no problem with Kevin looking away and not from Sean, if I was eating that spicy wings, I would've tried to calm myself my talking to my surroundings and that's what he did. Put yourself in his position then it makes things easier to understand.
6 years ago and the Knoxville phone call is still one of my favorite bits by a LANDSLIDE
he excitedly answers, Johnny understands he's doing a business thing but took time to answer, quips back with a joke and wishes him good luck.
by far my favorite moment of it all. wild to think that Johnny was there for SteveO to get cleaned and that he's a beacon of not letting addiction fully overtake your life for good. addicts can get clean, I truly think it just takes good support. Johnny (and some of the other fellas like Novak ofc) were that group for SteveO.
WILD to see where SteveO and Brandon have ended up. fantastic people that are pillars of how a human can recuperate from a bad situation.
The fact that only one of the Jackass guys is dead, and not even as a result of a stunt, is astounding.
