I ordered the Black Ecto and should receive it in the next few days so I’ve been watching a ton of videos about it. I have to say this has been my favorite so far. I wasn’t a subscriber before but now I am. Thank you for the straightforward and informative overview and especially thank you for showing how it did on the trails. Keep up the great work.

Just wanted to say thanks for the inspiration. Took my Gravel bike out for a loop with my Capra strapped on my backpack for a mid ride break and crawl. Will definitely be doing it again!
Very cool video. Excellent review, nice crawling and I love the biking in aspect! And we’ve all accidentally brought the uncharged batteries (or forgotten the EC3 to Dean’s adapter so the charged batteries couldn’t be plugged in!). The matte black is gorgeous - it’s gonna look wicked sick as the rocks start to take their toll!

I wish we were in the same country, I love riding my MTB and crawling RC cars and often combine the 2, as you have. Riding in you can get to some awesome trails for both is so cool. Really enjoyed this thanks, I’m just starting out with my crawling vids so this is very inspirational. The element is on my wish list, look like a great crawler.

That spot you entered the cow gate was an all time favorite place for long range (and other general flying) FPV back in the day for our group in SC before they got all strict with it. Legend has it you can still occasionally find a Capirinha or Bixler flying every now and again lol. Awesome video. Blows me away how detailed these trucks are.
I’ve been wanting an ecto since they came out. I’ve searched for some vids of folks running brushless systems that have a bit of speed but can’t find any. I LOVE trailing but like all my “crawlers” to be able to kick up dirt too! Just like my 1:1 trail trucks and Jeeps :)
I’ve had a Element r/c Trail Walker rig a few years ago. A tire change and it became a inexpensive beast. Unfortunately I sold it. I was in my local hobby shop and asked is Element R/C still around. My hobby guy point out the Ecto truck. Oh wow. Then I found out some my local guys super crawlers are built on Element chassis. How did I miss your review of this cool truck. I know life and too much time running the 24th and 18th scale trucks .
Im completely new to this scene and just bought my first crawler. The Ecto is what i picked based solely on the looks😂 super pleased to see this video combines MTB and crawling, genius! I ride my bike in some 😍 places...taking my crawler with me will allow me to slow down and enjoy these places more. the larger battery tray can be used up front , only the shorter one fits with in the body at the back. I got the gate keeper builders kit then added the ecto body as a option.
i love element, my build of my daily(77 Chevy 4x4 van)in 1/10 scale was a builders kit from them with proline body, I need this ecto thought its bad ass looking.
* * I just bought my first crawler a few wks ago * * I was shopping for a used crawler for my first one. and one of the guys i was talking to about buying his had someone message him about buying theirs ( he was known as a collector so ppl would constantly reach out to him to buy theirs ) and so he linked me to that guy. he so happened to be selling a BRAND NEW enduro knightrunner 4x4 that had like 30 min of play time. he paid full price for it like a day or 2 prior and he sold it to me for $250 ! ( yes he had receipts etc so i know it wasnt stolen ) this truck is AWESOME out of the box. ( mine has the blue tacoma body on it but i am having a custom FJ cruiser body 3d printed for it soon ) i am in the process of digging a little crawler section in my backyard right now. ( but its becoming summer here in az so i need to hurry hahha ) the only issue ive had with mine is i think the factory didnt install one of the toe arms correctly cuz it kept popping out. so i took both left and right sides out and got them even and reinstalled and it hasnt popped back out again since. ( also the axle would pop out when that happened too and its a pain to get back in cuz you gotta align both at the same time lol ) anyways... cheers and ENJOY ! * BTW * that truck body on yours is sick af !
WOW!!!! That wad AWESOME RC Girl!!! For me the Ecto has been the best performer out od the box compared to all my other rigs. If you keep the stock esc and motor I would recommend getting the Reedy programmer card. Works just like the HW one. I dialed the punch down a little bit, very smooth.👍👍👍

I have a few of those Batteries & they are awesome every chance I get I pick another one up. I’ll got the 3600mah version also & recommend. Can’t go wrong with Gens.
I keep a package of Avery 1/4" green dot stickers at my charging station. I place a dot on each battery as it comes off the charger. I remove the sticker when it's drained. Simple & effective.
No way to uncharged batteries oh well will watch for the next one. Really appreciate what you did share it was super cool love it, will watch for the next one until then peace and chicken grease 😁👍👍😎
This Black version is the best looking one yet. I already have a Ecto so it makes no sense to buy another one that has the same chassis. They should’ve added some kind of upgrades that they showed on the SE model. It’s I super good performer stock but an update would’ve been nice.
Great location and love biking in to get to it. There’s loads of great bike trails here (Scotland) that would be great for crawling but unless you’re there at 5am they’re too busy to be Rc-ing on 😅

I'm thinking about buying one of these and turning it into 6×6 RC recovery vehicle, inspired by the world's heaviest off-road Wrecker, from Matt's off-road recovery.
I have the enduro, do they not use most of the same stuff in it, like frame, axles, shock mounts. Could I not just get the rear sway bar and drag link setup and convert mine to an Ecto?
Cool, would have loved to see more driving with this truck, the 2-3 minutes of drive footage was not nearly enough to get a decent idea on the performance, Also the error floating across the driving footage: Warp Stabilizer and Speed can't be used on same clip was pretty distracting.
Nice work again. Keep the the good content coming. Great to watch. I've got a question for ya. Will a 11.1volt lipo battery damage a 540 Brushed motor originally rated for 7.4 volts if a ESC is used? You're the only one I trust to answer this.Thanks
