  • apologies for the fluctuating audio, I may of messed up!
My daily 520i touring has been used for 2 years now and I have never had a chance to take it off the road and bring it back to its former glory!
This weekend I took to my first real detailing task in which I removed the interior, cleaned it all using a wet vacuum and other cleaners. I also purchased new to me front seats due to a tear in my previous driver's seat. I first thought the interior was in an ok condition before I started, but my attitude soon changed once I got started!
To say this was my first detail, I am very happy with the results, and there is only really a couple small marks and stains which I have not been able to remove.
    Items I used:
BISSELL SpotClean Pro Portable Carpet Cleaner
Dirtbusters cleaner solution shampoo 5 litres: www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B...
SAFETYON Drill Brushes 4 Pieces Attachment:

I’ve done this exact same procedure three times in my 93 black leather on Alpine White III 525iT... not only is this the best way to make the 25yo interior pop like it’s new, but it’s an important factor that concerns health!!!

    • @BadE30

I know, it is a kit produced in the 90’s for pre-facelift cars which never had the choice of the wooden sections of the interior. I can’t remove it now it’ll make a mess! I’ve started to like the kit now

I had plans to convert the whole interior to facelift but thought it was a bit too much effort for some real wood segments! The new front seats are facelift with the armrests which is great.
