    Jonathan Ngan, its good to post such a genuine n honest questions, discussions and conversations through this video.
    I think its not just about pastor or leaders or anyone who is doing "ministry" in the church setting..
    Its about serving,knowing n loving this One True God Who fiercely pursuing and loving us.
    I think you gotta find back the First Love you had for our Lord Jesus. Ultimately its Jesus that we are answerable not our "audience".
    I am just a very normal housewife or homemaker, i gave up my medical career to stay at home because i see the importance of God in my life and my family's life. I have 3 beautiful children and i feel so priviledged to mentor them and disciple them, this is the first n foremost "ministry" or calling God has impressed in my heart. I am building an army for God that they will live this life for God. Ultimately, when we would close our eyes n become dust, the eternal reward is what i pray that me and my family attain. Not just reproducing decent children in this world.
    I pray that u and your family will continue to seek God and live for God despite many hurts n disappointments that human being let it be pastors or leaders or the used to be your flocks in youth ministry u were shepherding. Let your example of one who live for God despite you being a pastor or not. Our lives are to be a living sacrifice that are pleasing and holy unto Him, this is our spiritual act of worship.
    The world is very chaotic now, deconstruction of faith happens everywhere, but God comes to build, Jesus is our cornerstone, we dont follow the world but follow Jesus, that is called Christians. To die is gain, to live is Christ.
    Hope u can use your platform to brinf encouragement to young people, to encourage them to endure in their faith in the Lord with the grace od Jesus and thr fwllowship of Holy Spirit.
    I m no pastor or leader in the church. But i find God's Word is the most powerful thing that tranform me,my husband and instill live in my children. They experience God even at the agw of 10. My children know God is real, the God that they heard from pastor in church, sunday school teacher and from their parents is the Same God, Real,Powerful and Almighty

    don't ever feel the need to end the conversation, because i could listen to it for another 2-3 hours. i find these conversation invaluable to the ministry God has entrusted me with.

    Kudos to all 3 for opening up. I'm almost 70 years old. I believe we need to hear from this generation to know how to be of help to them and not push what we know down their throat. Their generation are well educated with plenty of knowledge available at their finger tips. Disciples of the Kingdom can be whatever the Lord wants then to be for His purpose and glory. Truth be told, not all spiritual leaders are disciples of the Kingdom. My encouragement to all 3 is this....press on to know the One True God and Jesus whom He sent and you will know how to live.... John 17:3, John 8:12.
    Be strong and courageous.

    yesterday I stepped down from my internship I am a second-year Bible student and when I stepped down I was told it was a capacity Issue. I feel that I have a calling, I just feel this church system is not what I am called to

    I was in full time ministry 16 years, of that I was a senior pastor for about 13 years when I resigned, I was 51 years old when resigned, I worked in corporate for 22 years before I went into the ministry.

    1:37. The call of God has nothing to do with creating sing and dance routines that people can attend every Sunday and
    Wednesday for years but come away unable to demonstrate and elucidate their faith. Modern mega-churches have become a distraction to discipleship for the most part. Can you imagine meeting Paul, but he doesn’t have time to actually talk to you because he has a board meeting, and then after that he’s going on a retreat with a rich donor, after that his wife gets him for 30minutes and then he needs to prepare for tomorrows fundraiser. “ord, Lord, didn’t we….?”

    Thank you very much for the talk. Edifying, sincere and timely. One question in my mind. I know the three of you are still working out the best model for a local church outside of the prevalent corporate model. If the teaching of Jesus, the Book of Acts and the letters of the Apostles are to be our guide and wisdom, what would be a Biblical functioning local church be?
    Why is it so hard to have such a church going? Thanks.

    Of the three pastors here, David and John NGIN spoke with such restraint and wisdom that are so rare in quality these days. Unlike others who just want to inform the viewers of their past ministry to be just "busy and structured", which is rather childish.

      I believe all 3 were honest, real and true. We need people also to provoke us otherwise there would be no conversation. Let's not just be nice and restrained and not speak up. 😅

    Does church needs to be registered? Is it compulsory in malaysia?

    • @thisisjonngan
      @thisisjonngan  ปีที่แล้ว

      You have to go through some kind of official registration if you want to open a bank account.
      Some do it via the Registrar of Societies, which is directly under the purview of the government.
      Some do it via the council of churches, but you need to exist about a year before you are eligible (along with some of other criteria)
      Some start a company.

    It seems you're feeling the loss of the big numbers of your congregation. But how many of your congregation will Jesus tell "I never knew you"?
    Quit worrying about big numbers and start again with one. Make one quality disciple of Jesus and teach him how to do the same.
    Then repeat.

    Do you think Jesus ever did ministry? He was about His Father’s business! But what was His Father’s business?
    Is ministry concept man-made?

    • @thisisjonngan
      @thisisjonngan  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I think the way ministry is done in this day and age - a lot of it is most definitely man made.
