Recently picked up a 23 rs and couldn’t be happier. Feels 10 times faster while still being very responsive and not jumpy at all. Rides very well at 70-80 miles per hour through heavy wind. Feels as light as the 400 but handles better and is wayyyy more stable. Worth the purchase!!!! Awesome bike❤️

I am currently riding a Yamaha R3 and am wondering if this/MT09SP/Duke 890R would be too much of a jump up or if I can handle it. Sounds like you think this is a doable move if you came from a Ninja 400?

You should find a prime example of the original street triple and make a comparison video with the new one!
No one talks about ease of maintenance. After owning Ducati's for the last decade and recently buying a Triumph, I have to say the way the Triumph is packaged makes life so much easier. I hope the new ones are the same.
I actually really like the idea of having a naked bike that I can slap fairings on and go racing with. One of the issues I have with my sv is the annoyance of installing/removing headlights and fairings before and after each track day. I wonder how easy this bike would be for that.
I've had a 2014 and now a 2018 street triple r. Not loving the smaller tank but cornering abs/tc and linked brakes is a nice update. We've had throttle by wire for like 6 years now where's the cruise control? Hard to make improvements on such a good bike so I shouldn't complain too much
Never been a Triumph fan being aligned to KTM, but I have to say these bikes look great. The Moto2 is glorious. It’s great to see how the Triumph guy is so enthusiastic and eloquent about his bikes. Also good to see Al’s feedback as an experienced racer and reviewer.
I have both the Duke 890R and the "older" 765 Striple. But the Duke is far more fun when it comes to street riding. I love the torque on the Duke. But the Striple's soundtrack is epic though
OMG!!! I've never rated Triumph until now, this bike is a mix of German and Italian with an 'British' twist. They do say a Good cocktail needs three ingredient and this bike has it👍🏻
Very nice. That power level will be perfect, although I can't say the old bike was sluggish steering or in need of "sharper" handling... I had a devil of a time with a tendency to fall into corners on my old 2009, and I had a similar experience with a 2019 I rode a few years ago. No such problems now with the tuono v4. More stability would be welcome for the street triple from my perspective. Ymmv.
I like the obligatory pics of 'slick at the Daytona 200. Had a nice conversation with him at Daytona Bike Week in 2021, when he was racing the 200 and the AFT Flat Track on the same weekend.
Any idea if it Cruise Control will be compatible with previous 2020+ ST765 considering it comes as an accessory and most likely only requires a firmware update?
Why oh why they don't make this with a full fairing is beyond me. I would literally be banging on my dealerships front door before they unlock in the morning.
Because despite people saying that, most people aren't actually putting their money where their mouth is. Buy it and put a fairing on it if you want. There are plenty of aftermarket options.

It's weird how they say it's not worth it to make a Daytona because the sales won't be high enough but they think offering three different roadsters makes sense
But the moto2 is a limited edition isn't it? 765 of each colour available. So in reality there will only be the r and rs once they've sold all of the moto2's.
Perhaps they could have made Dayton instead of moto 2 version and sold as limited edition or they may as well add one more I mean they don't need to do anything just change the styling for god sakes, but the moto 2 version looks proper track machine tho

I just asked the same question earlier. Was told that the geometry of that wouldn’t work, but I’m not sure I believe them. I would really like that level of clip-on handlebars on my 2020 RS
I don’t understand it either. The fuel capacity is one of the few things I miss about my old Z900 on my MT-09. And I also like it when a bike has some width.
Well damn. The Moto2 will be in my garage next year and the Mrs. will make sure I'm out there with it. That's the exact #3 I've been waiting for. Great piece 44
I'm proper excited about these bikes, I had a 765R low ride height back in 2018 and it was a cracking bike, but it was a mistake me getting the low version, and the colour options were a bit boring as well. I can't wait to see these in the flesh up at Motorcycle Live, I hope they have the yellow RS version too... am mostly glad that they have gone with gloss paint over matt... the orange Speed Triple, so should have been gloss!
Street racing on single lane winding back roads Importance in this order: Handling Weight Torque Handling and weight are very much intertwined. My 1976 Triumph T140V Bonneville 750 (744 cc's) won against every street motorcycle on the roads of Long Island NY, U.S.A. for over 10 consecutive years. I got married and stoped cacing. Then I came out of retirement in 1992 and she still won against every street motorcycle although now she was long in the tooth, she had lost about 5 mph from her top end speed. But that hardly mattered at all because on twisting off cambered single lane country back roads top speed was not a consideration. What mattered was the ability to track the exact line of my choice- "always". My Bonneville held the line I wanted. Light weight allowed me to ride at 9/10th's when racing and still live to tell about it. We never crashed! Sometimes the road is different from the last time I raced upon it and light weight and excellent handling allowed me to recover from a little bit of over cooking things in the corners when road conditions were changed from day to day and still lead anything racing against her. No motorcycle ever kept a wheel ahead of my Bonneville. If every a rider motorcycle would put a wheel ahead of her she would instantly go into race mode and take the lead. Once in the lead she remained in the lead. This applied to short road races to grueling long races from one town to another. It was a good feeling when my selection of a new 1976 Triumph Bonneville for street racing based upon her specifications turned out to be spot on. She made me a winner for over 10 consecutive years and that had a great effect on my life. Made in "Meriden" England is stenciled in Gold on the front left frame downtube. Since my name is Peter Nelson I took it upon myself to defend England in the way that I was able to. My father was a sailor and I had sat upon his Triumph Motorcycle in a garage in 1955 when I was 5 years old, so that also had an effect on me. If you knew just how many young men riding the latest Japanese street racing motorcycles that literally scoffed at me when we crossed paths while hanging around somewhere, only to tell me after having come in behind me on my beloved Triumph Bonneville in the race that always ensued you would be amused some even went so far as to tell me that they always wanted a Triumph. That was my quest to honor England and to keep the Triumph name alive by just doing what came natural to me and that was racing as an ameture. I would never tarnish my heart wanting to get paid to risk my life when I taught so many young American Men that "Britannia Rules The Waves" and "The Streets"! Just so you know. When I was a toddler about 3-1/2 years of age I rode my 3 wheeled tricycle from our home on a single lane back road all the way into town a distance of about 2 miles and once there the man who owned the local "Mobile" gas station located on the corner ran out and scooped me and my tricycle up by grabbing the handlebars in the center. He thought that I was going to ride my tricycle onto the main street and be killed. I told him "I know what I'm doing as I have just ridden my tricycle all the way here from my home, miles away from where he was now standing. I told him I did that by keeping to the roads (pavement) very edge where the sand and gravel is - away from the cars and I was not "now" about to ride into main street traffic. That was around 1954, then on January 10th, 1977 some 23 years later I purchased my own brand new 1976 Triumph 750 Bonneville from him. His name was "Pete Cursio" and he lived on Dare Road Selden, the very road I had ridden my tricycle on so many years ago. He remembered that occasion too. - Peter Nelson age 73

@@benreiter7218 they say it does, but it fits. It's tight, but you still have full lock to lock functions.
Sweet 👌 But there is one model missing in the 2023 line up. Street Triple 765rr with the single headlight the same like bigger brother has 😉
Triumph missing a trick to sell a fairing bolt on option? I mean really how much more would it cost 😔
Promising, prices are going up though
They need to sort those god damn bug eyed headlights on them, otherwise they are a really nice looking bike
Loosing fuel capacity seems somewhat pointless. Its nice to have a bike with at least 240 ish Km before the low fuel light on. But eh.
I don’t understand it either.
The fuel capacity is one of the few things I miss about my old Z900 on my MT-09.
And I also like it when a bike has some width.
I would totally agree to the 'rawness' that the 675 model has. And compared to my cousins 2021 RS I still love my old 675 🤟
Ok were is. Sandy jones
I was so close to chopping my gixxer in for one of the early 675s but the part Ex offer was crap.
@@markharrison2484 I'd probably go for the Speed Triple over the Street Triple now, if they did it in these colours
@@HippoDrones triumph colours have been boring for years. Bring back neon pink and orange!!!!
Your old speed triple went ok.
@@markharrison2484 my old Speed Triple was awesome... back before electronics ruled the roost 😁
Street racing on single lane winding back roads Importance in this order:
Handling
Weight
Torque
Handling and weight are very much intertwined.

Waiting for BUDGET BIKE BATTLE BAVARIA episodes. Come on lads. We are gaggin' for it. ( That didn't come out right ).
Miss the old white and red R model. Best looking Striple imo
Fantastic looking bikes, especially in that yellow. I'm still clinging on to my 2010 R - if you want to do an old vs new comparison you're welcome to it!
If the bikes are ready to race, are the bike's electronics set up to simply remove a plug to disconnect the lights without throwing codes?
😂 I doubt it, it’s a triumph they don’t like making things easy.
@@karlj1717 I was wondering if the "Track Mode" would switch off the lights? That wouldn't happen! Wonder if a manufacturer would ever a track ready street bike with (Basically) an OEM set of race fairings, no lights.
@@gonzosk8966 it would be nice if they did but I think all of modern day legislation would stop them, it is a shame that you just can’t get one that is truly ready for a race track without having to strip bits off.
Just sold my '14 675r. Hope a daytona is in the future.
Great video. Though I really wish they would remodel the lights. The bug eye look is so 1980's. :)
in the dark or low light, those headlights almost look like a ducati. they've really come back from the brink with the headlights.
How reliable are the street triples? Ive never bought a European bike.
Touchy buggar ain’t he 😂 that yellow is absolutely stunning though proper nice machine!
Well done Triumph!! Tehe Moto2 Edition looks stunning. ...I don´t even get a Brembo MCS on my SF V4 SP...
I own a street triple 765r and a new z900rs which looks great but the 765r has the x factor, even though it looks subdued in black.
Would be nice to have that moto colour available on the other versions, bloody boring grey or white to choose from, come on Triumph.
That burgundy rs makes me hard! I love street triples and currently own a 675rx but i do sorely miss the daytona
Hi fellas
Does anyone know if the new fuel tank is Still a metal tank or just pressed thank with plastic cover
Metal
Thanks
God those are very pretty. Every year updated bikes are revealed I always get very mad saying, why didn’t I just wait one more year to buy the Street Triple! I know, I’m a big poor fat baby with first world problems😭
Everything is great. Only question is it possible to disable wheelie control?
I’ll tell you in Feb 😂
@@FortyFourTeeth 😁I hope TC its not the same like in speed triple. Ps. I like triumph but even boring Germany has Tc off with one button. Digging through the menu to fly a few meters on one wheel is annoying
"we listened to the customers and got as close to a road going moto 2 bike as possible" "except for the only thing that'd make it different to a Street triple, the fairing"
What a lovely looking Moto 2 bike❤ Will you be test riding the Moto 2? 👌🏻
Oh yes, just got to 17:45 😂👍🏻 Look forward to it.
This is getting dangerously close to being as powerful as my 2016 SPEED Triple R!
Only on top end which you hardly ever use on the street. Best thing about the 1050 is the torque around 5 - 7000 rpm❤👍
And much smaller !
@@Flip01 You speak for yourself mate, I'm banging against the rev limiter when popping down the shops!
Jks aside, you're dead right; you can't forget the torque factor. As they say, there's no replacement for displacement. This is a really compelling package, and totally separate to the Speed Triple.
@@Flip01 It's both good and bad. Love the torque on my Speed Triple. But I also miss my less serious 765 that wanted rpms, they are different toys.
For that price I’d rather have a used Tuono V4 Factory
130hp from a 765. My old 1050 made around that but needs a extra 300cc.
