- The Frozen Throne is the expansion to Warcraft III, and it's amazing. We're going to continue our journey, seeing the origins of some of Warcraft's biggest characters, and what made them what they are today. There'll be Dota heroes and book talk as well, so settle in for a long ride!

+Dzyuv001 Akama was a sight for sore eyes , in WoW WoD , long before the Horde succeded slaughtering the draenei . I didnt suspected them looking like some abominations in there god forsaken past .
The way Akama and his draenei look like are the most devolved version of the draenei mostly called Lost Ones and are found in Fallow Sanctuary in WoW and Blasted Lands. Later Akama and his draenei were changed to be the middle version "Broken" which have no war3 counterpart in term of looks unlike the Lost Ones and the Eredar.
Akul Its seriously the exact same model they use in World of Warcraft, for real
TehMecheon If you are talking about Akama and his draenei, they look like lost ones here, but in WoW look like broken draenei instead. Very few lost ones have retained their sanity.
TehMecheon They made it for WoW first. The model has animation and bone names which correspond well to WoW models. Also, some of the campaign screens (the 'detailed' 3D renderings before you start a mission, while picking it from the menu) use textures and models that look similar and have a similar structure to WoW models.
Akul I believe TehMecheon was referring to their graphical representation (3D model) inside the game, nothing more. :)

Its a modified version of what they used for WoW. Trust me, you know I've toyed about with that one.
And the reason why Akama and his fellow Draenei changed into the Broken was because they were exposed to the demonic energies after Draenor exploded and a large chunk of the planet was sent into the Twisting Nether.

I think it's pretty obvious why the Draenei's looks were changed. The Lost Ones' females wouldn't be as porny, and wouldn't look as "good" in skimpy armour.
This may be a silly question but the Rend in Azeroth is given a specific clan name: Blackhand. Is there anything in the lore that indicates which clan you're fighting here Rythian?
DemonMankeyMan You're not fighting clan's in this battle, they are more like army divisions. Rend is the commander of a group of fel orcs named the Horde of Pain, and Maim is the commander of his group of fel orcs named the Horde of Agony. If I'm not mistaken that's as detailed for their lore in WC3.
DemonMankeyMan Other than what Jennifer Hamels said (which is true), you can see that Rend has the Burning Blade banner (same model as the regular Blademaster and Fel Orc Blademaster), whereas Maim has the Warsong banner (same model as Fel Grom). This isn't an indication of anything because they just re-used assets, but still worth noting.
Thank goodness! I finally found where Dota get Sven's model, they're pretty unrated though. :/
I agree with the recon for the sake of aesthetics. Which bummed me out. I was hoping for a pretty hoard race, blood elves, and ungly alliance, original dranei
The reason that Akama and the others look like that is due to the Orcish attack of Shattrath. They used Burning Legion weapons that scarred the Draenei who stayed and fought, making them into the form they are here. :D
Rythian have you ever considered doubt starcraft 2 custom campaigns
The broken have degraded and turn into the lost ones, they mutated!!

Rythian you should go on a custom match and set up bots or do a skirmish match with other yogscast members

Greetings Rythian, i was wondering, how you delete groups of units or remove 1 unit from a group? :)
You have to select your group then shift/click (i think) the unit. It will get rid of it in the selection and then ctrl+number of the group, correct me if i'm wrong ^-^

I disagree.. these draenei's are creepy weird. and a broken race. the ones in WoW are attractive. smooth. loyal. they have a proper religion, culture, and architecture for their buildings unlike these where its a tree shroom thing..
